Thursday Conversation - Shawn Kuhnkuhn, CEO of Dolly Varden Silver

54

I've been a big fan of Dolly Varden Silver for quite some time. If you check my holdings in the "member only" forum section, you'll see that I'm a shareholder, too. As such, it was great fun to speak with Shawn again so that we could get some updates on the progress his company is making as they explore for silver and gold in the "Golden Triangle" region of British Columbia.

As you are well aware, almost all mining shares had a pretty challenging 2023, Dolly Varden included. But as the saying goes...If I liked the shares at 90¢, what's not to like at 50¢? However, maybe I've missed something. Is there a problem with the resource or the business plan?

So it's nice to be able to get an update straight from the CEO, in this case our old friend, Shawn Kuhnkuhn. In this podcast, I was able to ask Shawn directly about his company and he was able to remind me of why I invested in Dolly Varden shares in the first place.

A few items that Shawn addresses:

  • recent drill results that underscore and grow the potential of his resource
  • why he has focused the company on Canada and the Golden Triangle, specifically
  • the balance sheet and financial condition of Dolly Varden
  • valuation metrics that suggest a significantly higher share price to come
  • the company's plan to continue exploration in the months ahead.

Here are a few charts that provide some details on where the company operates and the institutional investors that have taken a substantial stake in the shares.

Now of course and as always, DO NOT take my enthusiasm for this company and make it your own. You MUST conduct all of your own personal due diligence and you MUST make as assessment of your risk tolerance and time horizons before you consider an investment into anything.

To that end, you can begin your homework by researching the company under its ticker symbols of "DV" in Canada, "DOLLF" in the U.S. and "DVQ1" in Germany. You might also be sure to visit the company website and, once you're there, check out these pages:

Many thanks to Shawn for generously sharing his time to provide this update. As with all exploration companies, patience is needed. However, I remain a committed holder of Dolly Varden shares.
