A Discussion with Keith Neumeyer, CEO of First Majestic Silver

23

Silver prices are finishing up a solid 2019 and appear poised to continue with a renewed bull market in 2020. As you know, we expect great things from the mining sector next year and one of our favorite silver miners is First Majestic Silver, where I am a long-term shareholder.

Keith Neumeyer has been a TFMR favorite for years. Not only does he do a terrific job as CEO of First Majestic, quite simply he's just a good guy. He fights for his shareholders. He works to improve the prospects of his employees. And he's the rare mining executive who actually understands the detrimental role that the Bullion Banks play in the pricing process of his primary product.

Over the course of this call, Keith addresses:

  • recent short-selling activity in First Majestic shares
  • the responsibility he feels to his employees and their communities
  • current innovation and exploration successes
  • his outlook for First Majestic as a company and the price of silver, in general.

Two more things...

As an investor, please do not fall for random and anonymous "research reports". Always conduct your own due diligence and one of the most constructive steps anyone can take is to call a company directly and have them answer your questions. At First Majestic, questions are happily addressed by the investor relations department and you can reach them through the First Majestic website or you can simply call them at 866-529-2807.

Additionally, my friend Eric Sprott is involved with an organization called the Save Canadian Mining initiative and I urge you to investigate and support this cause. Predatory short selling is a practice that has crushed many companies in the mining business. While there's always a place for bulls and bears in every market, a reintroduction of the "up-tick rule" may help to provide a marketplace that is more free and fair for all involved. Please click this link to find out more: SAVE CANADIAN MINING

Again, many thanks to Keith for his time today. Please give this podcast your full consideration.

Call received from First Majestic IR

I will post this here, as this is a legitimate First Majestic thread, so I won't get accused of promoting or cheerleading.

I sent two emails to First Majestic last week; the first just after the Seeking Alpha article, and a second this Saturday after listening to this interview with Keith Neumeyer.

Mark Corruthers in Investor IR called to thank me for the kind words and support of the company; and we ended up on the phone for 45 minutes discussing the presently released company news. I recommend a close inspection of page 24 of the current presentation if you have not previously done so. I do not think 'the market' has done their due diligence regarding the information conveyed on that slide. DYODD, I am not an investment advisor.

Thanks for picking up the First Majestic Topic!

Hi Craig

I will not sell my FM Silver shares either.

I have accumulated stocks worth some 700000 CAD over the last 4 years.

I'm looking forward to 100$ Silver and count on a decent entrepeneur like Keith to make me a millionaire.

Happy Christmas to everybody!

As the 'fake news' broke and

As the 'fake news' broke and seeing the writing on the wall I rotated half of my position in AG to MUX, the company of the other vocal opponent of these banking scams that got shorted the hell out of him. Of course the problems he had with McEwen made him vulnerable to these vulchers. After this interview I feel a bit ashamed as it feels I let the people in this village down. This company definitely deserves our support, great interview. I still have op sizable position, so I'm probably able to sleep tonight

First mining

I agree, an update would be good on this company if possible, he doesn't seem to say much about it nowadays ?

is there a large short position on it also ? as it's been Dreadful to own considering its price was over $1 when gold was in the 1,300 s & when gold was over $1,550 not so long ago the stock traded in the low 0.20 s and still does ... was it overvalued from the start ??

First Majestic

First Majestic is a Symptom of the Problem:

The Federal Government Regulates NOTHING. It is a RICO operation with the Central Banking System as the focal point.

Walking the walk...

Marcus, well said regarding First Majestic's track record for working with the local communities where they seek to develop or rejuvenate mining. I've long settled into AG as a majority position in my portfolio for the reasons Craig mentions in this interview: they do give back and have relentlessly endeavored to improve conditions everywhere they do business. Keith recognizes that in order to sustain this generosity, AG has to be one of the most efficient and lowest cost producers. Most of their mines have had ore coming from them for hundreds of years, and he is playing the long game... a subtle, but vitally important component of de-risking their operations.

Compare this to these stock vultures with nearly limitless bankrolls whom pray on this sector, and the legacy of resulting share dilution, shuttered towns, and expropriated wealth from the communities where the ore resides. I am grateful that there are people like Keith Neumeyer leading a precious metals company with which I can invest whom; in spite of these headwinds, is building a positive and exciting future in this industry.

Timely interview

I am still in belief that silver will erode the g/s ratio and have held First Majestic for several years always believing in Keith and his team. I have added a few smaller silver producers more recently to my portfolio to gain on the g/s but as I shuffle my portfolio I can see I need to add some more AG their stock symbol.

The story about First Majestic's involvement in that little town and hanging in with that community is heartwarming and Keith is a bright light in the industry. Thanks Craig for a great interview.
