SPECIAL PODCAST: A look at Gold X Mining Corp with Brian Paes Braga

I think I may have come across an interesting situation here. When you have a few minutes, please give a listen to this interview.

The company in question is called Gold X Mining Corp and the guest is Brian Paes Braga, who previously ran a company called Lithium X and now serves on the Strategic Advisory Board of Gold X Mining.

This company was previously known as Sandspring Resources and, as you can see below, it's not as if it has been a great performer over the past several years. Here's the press release regarding the name change: https://www.bloomberg.com/press-releases/2019-10-29/sandspring-resources...

But what do we always talk about?

  • Team
  • Jurisdiction
  • Property

And Gold X Mining appears to check all three boxes.

However, what really makes this interesting is the relatively low price versus its value in 2016. Then, when you throw in the recent acquisitions of Detour Gold and Continental Gold by major producers, a company like Gold X becomes even more intriguing.

Again and of course, speculations like this are NOT for everyone and it is imperative that you do all of your own due diligence before making any and all investment decisions. But this is another company that caught my attention and I'm happy to be able to share this podcast with you.

What do

Eric and Brent think of it?

Dec 4, 2019 - 6:00pm

Not to minimize Turd's special podcast on Gold X Mining, but now that I come to think about stocks, which is better and why, FNV or KL? Opinions, anyone?

Dec 4, 2019 - 6:08pm

FNV is a streamer/royality company and has limited overhead to produce its income. KL must produce to the satisfaction of the market, must replace resources that deplete, are more subject to fluctuations in the price of metals and/or fuel and/or wages (some of which are subject to manipulation and not necessarily markets). , and must be more sensitive to jurisdictional considerations and social considerations such as first nations and environmental.

Christmas gift from North Korea

(CNN)North Korea will send a "Christmas gift" to the United States, but what that present contains will depend on the outcome of ongoing talks between Washington and Pyongyang, a top official has warned.

The ominous comments, which some have interpreted as a sign that North Korea could resume long-distance missile tests, comes as the clock ticks closer to the country's self-imposed end-of-year deadline for nuclear negotiations with the Trump administration.

I own both and consider them core holdings. As mentioned above FNV is probably the best streamer or more appropriately a royalty company which is basically a finance company that does not have have to worry about mining costs and has a wide exposure to many companies' production. KL has been under pressure after its recent purchase and in my opinion has an even better outlook than before. The new purchase of Detour Gold is low grade but there is a 20 year supply in the ground and it alone produces 500,000 ounces per year at a profit. There is also a good chance for more resources. Due to the selloff, KL is undervalued at present but FNV is the blue chip of the royalty companies. As I said I own both and will continue to do so.

I own both

My IRA has 1000 KL and 150 FNV.
