Holiday Jackass

106

It's a three-day US market holiday weekend. You know what that means! An update from The Golden Jackass himself, Jim Willie.

By now, you know the drill. I ask Jim to pontificate on three primary topics and Jim, of course, never disappoints. For this call, those three topics are:

  1. The renewed and ongoing bull markets for both gold and silver.
  2. Negative interest rates and the end of the debt-based monetary system.
  3. Signals from central bankers that the dollar's days as reserve currency are numbered.

As always, I urge you to check out Jim's Hat Trick Letter service. More details can be found at his website, www.golden-jackass.com.

Have a great weekend but be ready for another wild week ahead.

It's the door

Billhilly,

It's the door! No doubt in my mind. I am not religious but my experiences, confirmed by third parties, leave me with no doubts. No point in going into them because it is the kind of thing most people will be very skeptical about unless it has actually happened to them.

My personal belief is that we are here for a reason and that reason is simply to learn (i don't mean 1+1=2) in preparation for the next phase whatever that may be. I can see why so many on here were pleased to see you back. It seems you have learnt most of what you need to know already.

Willie conundrum!

Jim Willie is an enigma to me. He has been invaluable for his insights over the years. I've perhaps listened to every interview. Some are great and others not so. I've subscribed a couple of times to his service. I understand that anyone can get conned. It was perhaps one of my most important and humbling lessons learned, travelling through third world countries for 3 years of my younger life. I'm really surprised that he didn't have more of his capital in gold and silver. I never heard him promote investing in anything else. Not even mining shares. Just physical metal. I'm just very surprised he's invested in non gold. I wish him well though. We all can make mistakes.

Sprott Weekly wrap up

In the last weekly wrap up Eric mentioned the Technical Traders forecast for Silver of $35 to $40! What time frame is he putting on this? Am I understanding this correctly that they are talking Sept this year?

Ed Steer re Friday

The CME Preliminary Report for the Friday trading session showed that gold open interest in September fell by 1,098 contracts, leaving 286 still around, minus the 242 mentioned a few paragraphs ago. Thursday's Daily Delivery Report showed that 1,279 gold contracts were actually posted for delivery on Tuesday, so that means that 1,279-1,098=181 more gold contracts were added to September.

Silver o.i. in September cratered by 4,505 contracts, leaving 2,219 still open, minus the 619 contracts mentioned a few paragraphs ago. Thursday's Daily Delivery Report showed that 4,862 silver contracts were actually posted for delivery on Tuesday, so that means that 4,862-4,505=357 more silver contracts were added to the September delivery month.

In the first two days of the September delivery month, there have already been 1,521 gold contracts issued/reissued and stopped -- and that number in silver is already up to a knee-wobbling 5,481 contracts...27.4 million troy ounces. JPMorgan has been an active stopper in both precious metals, not only for its client account, but for its own account as well.

MoonShiv...

I especially like your 2nd to last line..."Give love".

If you don't mind I'd like to add a piece of punctuation... Give, Love.

Is this the silver whale?

Warren Buffett is reported to be sitting on 122 billion in cash. What if some of that cash is actually backing the physical purchases at JP Morgan?

I have long believed that death is only hard on the survivors. Enjoy your time with your dad.

Day started well with Max and Willie; ending with Mr Fix back

Hearing from Mr Fix after many months makes my day. Mr Fix today and BillHilly within the last 7 days makes my week

This makes the gold and silver price rise kind of minor

Good to see you two back and opining.

Cheers

Nice one BillHilly

I am also on the doorway side, not just because of "hope". In fact, I am a very hard scientific person. I once read a study where they measured the body weight of a person (they were taking continuous weight measurements) on a "about to die" patient in a hospital and then looked at the data after the patient's last breath. The data just 15 seconds before and after the last breath, the body weight was EXACTLY the same. Afterwards, ofcourse, the weight starts changing due to decomposition, bacteria etc. etc.

Any ways, in the 15 seconds before and after, what changed? Breath stopped, person died. But weight did not change. What changed was the "living" part of the person went away. WHERE?

This is one of the reasons for my "doorway" belief. And also numerous other, around the world stories about some kid talking about some other person that has died (reincarnation?).

Anyways, here are the keys to life:

Experiences (make every moment good/enjoyable)

Give love (Never expect)

That's it!
