Holiday Jackass

106

It's a three-day US market holiday weekend. You know what that means! An update from The Golden Jackass himself, Jim Willie.

By now, you know the drill. I ask Jim to pontificate on three primary topics and Jim, of course, never disappoints. For this call, those three topics are:

  1. The renewed and ongoing bull markets for both gold and silver.
  2. Negative interest rates and the end of the debt-based monetary system.
  3. Signals from central bankers that the dollar's days as reserve currency are numbered.

As always, I urge you to check out Jim's Hat Trick Letter service. More details can be found at his website, www.golden-jackass.com.

Have a great weekend but be ready for another wild week ahead.

Don't look at this if you are afraid of feeling insignificant

An image of an insignificant galaxy shot from an insignificant planet in an insignificant solar system in a universe of billions and billions of galaxies.

Putin dissatisfies Erdoğan on Idlib

The front pages of almost all national newspapers were full of pictures of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin posing in front of a Russian-made SU-57 aircraft during the Turkish president’s visit to Russia on Aug. 27.

“Are we going to buy this one?” Erdoğan asked Putin in front of the TV cameras. On a question from journalists upon his return from Russia on whether Turkey would buy SU-57s from Russia, he said: “We did not come here for nothing.”

At the joint press conference following their meeting, Erdoğan reiterated Ankara’s concerns over the recently intensified military attacks by the Russia-backed Syrian army, but Putin’s statements were far from soothing these very concerns of the Turkish government. He insisted the need for clearing the jihadist terrorists from the enclave with suggestions to take some additional steps with Turkey to this end.

Even after the meeting, the military campaign by both the Russian and Syrian armies has intensified, and according to wire agencies, the Iran-linked militias have also joined the duo. Many villages in the northern part of Khan Sheyhoun have been captured by the regime forces after heavy clashes in the enclave, triggering displacement of thousands of Syrians towards the Turkish border.

Erdoğan did not hide his dissatisfaction about the current state of things in Idlib, and he bluntly put it while talking to the journalists. The only positive thing Erdoğan cited was an assurance given by Russia for the protection of the Turkish military posts.

Turkey to invade if not allowed to control Syria zone: Erdoğan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Aug. 31 that Turkey will put its own operation plan into effect if Turkish troops do not control a "safe zone" in northeast Syria, which it has been planning with the United States, within a few weeks.

Turkey has no time and patience and it wants safe-zone to be built along eastern Euphrates line, along Syria, as soon as possible," said Erdoğan in a speech at a graduation ceremony at the National Defence University in Istanbul.

"If our soldiers do not control the region within a few weeks, we will put our own operation plan into effect," he said.

He did not specify what the operation plan would entail, but he has previously warned that Turkey would mount a cross-border offensive on its own to clear the YPG from its border if necessary.

'No intention to abandon NATO'

Turkey has no intention to abandon NATO membership and its allies, Erdoğan also underlined.

Turkey and the United States have set up a joint operation centre for the planned safe zone along Syria's northeastern border, but have been at odds over the size of the zone or the command structure of the forces to operate there.

Forget minding your tongue - now mind what you think

In the not too distant future, 'wrong think' could lead to your dismantlement.

As Vox's Sigal Samuel reported:

Mark Zuckerberg's company is funding research on brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) that can pick up thoughts directly from your neurons and translate them into words. The researchers say they've already built an algorithm that can decode words from brain activity in real time.

And Musk's company has created flexible "threads" that can be implanted into a brain and could one day allow you to control your smartphone or computer with just your thoughts. Musk wants to start testing in humans by the end of next year.

Obama gave the appearance of conflict with Wall Street and The Fed also...as he deregulated, failed to prosecute anyone of significance on Wall Street and let the The Fed and Exchange Stabilization Fund go unaudited.

This has been the Rule rather than exception since Nixon took away backing of the fiat.

Trump is no exception. Just another puppet of Central Banking along with most of Congress. Everything can be explained from the Transfer of Wealth by Central Banking. (It will always be someones fault other The Fed’s)...if we accept their Criminal Premis.
