TFMR Podcast - Monday, June 3 - A Visit With The Jackass

In lieu of a podcast today, here's an informal discussion of current events with our old friend, The Golden Jackass himself, Jim Willie.

This was meant to be a wide-ranging discussion where the conversation takes Jim and I to wherever we end up. And everything was fine...until...at about the 26:00 mark, my voice becomes Daffy Duck on helium, sped up to 78 rpm. I tried to edit and splice the rest of the call together but you'll definitely notice when it happens. You'll also get a kick out of the few moments of Daffy voice that were impossible to edit out.

Regardless, this is some solid, thought-provoking stuff from The Jackass and, with no regular podcast today, I think you'll enjoy listening.

The Jackass has a dream and thinks that the Donkey-God is speaking to him. LMAO

Hmmm, back in 2008 when the SP500 was melting down, it went to about 666 before it rallied (was that number a message from the evil ones?). Now, Douchebank is trading about 666. Might there now be a dead cat bounce, and from that level? The evil ones certainly do have an affinity for that number.

Just thinking out loud.

Sorry, To Me

I thought a lot of your broadcast was total Bullshit. Just my opinion. Keep Stacking

Best day of the year and Turd is no where to be found.

No time to play Hookey

where or where is Turd?

My mom would have spanked my brigges if I had missed a Big day at grade school when a Test was given. Today was “Test Day”.

I have seen this before!

So, bitcoin did rally, and someone made some fine coin. Then it dropped a bit and many are under water again. Gold goes up $20 in one day and now we think that the banksters have repented, taken their fat finger out of the market and metals and stocks will finally go north. I still remember buying that gold maple leaf at about $1550, knowing that it would go to $3000 any day. I even listened to KWN in those days. Now, it is time to finish off our new storage shelves in the garage. Jim

Seemed like Google barked at the Government last night

Seems there's been some talk about Anti-Trust in Tech

Possibly they threw a tantrum..just to show their ability to pitch a fit....

Another squib in the barrel

A $11 billion private equity fund called by its owner's name Woodford, announced it's gating its fund, preventing withdrawals.

These are not small withdrawals either, running $10 million a day for the last month Gating a fund prevents new money investments too. There's been some problems with larger positions falling in value so the institutional investors are trying to leave

I'm sure sure if there is an equivalent of a Hotel California in the UK but it sounds like Woodford is running it

All in all this might seem minor but this is a big fund and gating is a huge issue in the equity fund community. I wonder what happens when a fund manager gates the Queen's purse?

With the chinese banking problem cropping up and this, these are pretty big cracks in the wall.

Pink Floyd agrees with me . So does his helium filled pig

All in all you're just another brick in the wall

@ Outback?

Olympia Goats, downtown, a true Greener establishment. Ya better just go out to Dirty Dave's on Martin Way and have a open faced meatball sandwich. Have you been to the new Starbucks on the Yelm Highway? How about the Brown Derby, way back in time, on Capitol Blvd.? But Dancing Goats has danced onward. Jim

Wow: I see Dancing Goats has spread out over town.

Turd's "Absence" Today

It's kind of refreshing. Kind of like in kindergarten when the teacher left the room, and all of the children were suddenly unsupervised for a time . . .

Edit: In my class, the children fell into three basic categories:

1. Those who carried on, as if the teacher were still there.

2. Those who questioned, and then agonized, about where and why the teacher left.

3. Those who took advantage of the teacher's absence to do things they would have not been allowed to do.
