Thursday Conversation - Chris Powell

47

Chris Powell of GATA joins us for a an interesting and enlightening Thursday conversation.

Over the course of this discussion, Chris and I hit three, primary points:

  • the primary work of GATA and the ongoing central bank interventions in the monetary metals
  • recent efforts to inspire government regulators to look into the mechanisms of price manipulation
  • the ongoing yuan-gold and/or SDR-gold "peg"

Many thanks to Chris for his time and please be sure to support GATA if you can. They are an invaluable ally in the fight against precious metal price manipulation and government-sponsored market intervention, in general.

Nice day

I am a long suffering pm miners owner. However Chris and Bill at GATA have suffered even more over the past decade. I used to be a multi-year GATA subscriber and will probably join again if we can keep this trend going for a while longer. Chris is one of the good guys. Now to listen.

If the HUI can hold on...

Closing above 152.57 would be a very good sign.

One of the good guys

Chris wears his heart on his sleeve. When he does interviews you hear his anguish that reflect our feelings here at TF metals. Great choice for an interview. Thank you

$1220 level

Turd you have over the past months indicated that the $1220 level is key and that you strongly advise us not to catch the falling knife until we break above $1220. Now that $1220 is in the rear view mirror what are your feelings ? Thanks

Great analysis on the Markets from SRSROCCO

This is a very good analysis on the markets (DOW and PM) from SRSROCCO. I think it's well worth the 5 minutes to read.

I think that if you sort

I think that if you sort through the comments on the morning thread, Ronnie, that's all pretty clear.

Closing ABOVE the 50-day AND closing ABOVE $1220 should give us an all clear. But wait for a second day confirmation tomorrow and a weekly close above that August intraweek high of $1220.70.

Time difference Turd

Will do thanks. It’s a bit early here in Oz 4.45 am so I am just getting into the post. Still trying to compose myself with this great move up in metals smiley

I thought that was a solid line in the sand. I'm very, very surprised...

Tomorrow is CRITICAL for the ROACHES

if another DOWN day Friday and especially watch the last two hours on what the Monkeys, the FED plumbers might try. If they LOOSE the “PLUNGER.” The ROACHES are in BIG TROUBLE come MONDAY. Have my fingers crossed. REPEAT MONDAY OCTOBER 1987. I was there.

outback

history on me, I have been watching and have been in this stock market longer than Turd has been walking on this planet, but he sure knows more than I do. Must be smart.

My reply was for everyone

Without a podcast today, folks will be looking ofr answers so I used your post as a way to direct people to the other thread.

And re CDG being up more than 2%

Today was the best day for CDG since +$59 on June 24, 2016...the day after the Brexit vote.

· Oct 11, 2018 - 7:17pm

this is interesting

Outback

You should have paid attention to Charlies's post. It's a dodgy iphone 6, not an 8.

Tomorrow The Answer?

Tomorrow, Friday will be the Story and what the Close of the Major Index’s will be.

The Plumbers will NOT be able to Save the sewer!

DOWN

Then the Roaches will loose a lot of sleep over the weekend.

My take “BLACK” is still the winning BET MONDAY for the Roaches.

Gold $1214 in the morning?

Looks like. So far we have perfect 45 degree down angle. At that rate we will hit $1214 by 7 am.

Mickey · Oct 11, 2018 - 10:06pm

2%

way back in 2008, the day QE was announced, gold was driven down $40 in the morning, and closed up $40. An 80 buck swing. I think gold was around 700 then.

HUI swung 15%.

Collapsing The Whole Bidstack

Does this sound somewhat familiar to gold and silver traders?

ZeroHedge

"Today was different, because shortly after 2:40pm when a massive selling program emerged as if out of nowhere and sent the Dow Jones plummeting by over 600 points in a manner of minutes, the selling volume was indeed one for the ages.

According to the NYSE TICK, or uptick minus downtick, index, at precisely 2:43pm, the selling order flood was so big it not only surpassed the acute liquidation that was observed around 3PM on Wednesday, but the -1,793 print was one that had not been seen for 8 years"

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-10-11/what-liquidation-panic-looks-burst-sell-orders-243pm-was-highest-flash-crash

Now what fool would have the money to simply destroy the bidstack? Perhaps the same one that regularly does the same in gold & silver?

The Kavanaugh thing didn't work out so well in terms of potential mid term election results. Perhaps this will.....

I'm a huge fan of music.

You know who makes great music? Chris Stapleton. This guy is fantastic. Poetic. Talented. Lyrically exceptional. Frankly, he is a badass motherfucker.

I know, off topic. Sue me.

Go Silver, Go Gold, Go Green.

EDIT: I'm also a HUGE fan of The Flaming Lips. They are uber liberal retards, but they make incredible music.

You Are Free!

Hmm, lets go disrupt some Clinton speeches - named by location - very antifesque.

The US nation is dividing along the lines of Racists vs. Pedophiles. There are Middle Class Americans cheering on the eradication of the Middle Class (Bringing down the Fed LOL!)

And I have a new policy: when I hear a you-tuber or alt-media persona say "Globalist", I stop listening. It is nauseating.

Legitimate Conspiracy concerns (such as the truth our entire existence) are becoming buried under more and more heaps of shit; inaccessible to more and more humans.

All one can do is sit in awe at the unfolding Grand Plan (oh and try to take the near-futile steps to permit the continuation of the bloodline). Amazing.

Notice: If you do not see your new comment immediately, do not be alarmed. We are currently refreshing new comments approximately every 2 minutes to better manage performance while working on other issues. Thank you for your patience.
