Discussing De-Dollarization with Da Jackass

153

A perceived acceleration toward the end of US dollar hegemony has been a hot topic here at TFMR this week. Thus, we thought it should be the primary topic for our holiday weekend Jim Willie discussion, too.

There's no easy way to summarize this conversation with bullet points. Instead, just notice that we began the call by discussing de-dollarization and then just let it flow from there.

I think you'll find this interesting and informative. Thanks again to The Jackass for so freely sharing his time with us!

clearer...there is no fuel/gas in them now, I was thinking of filling them but

uncertain about the dust part..will get a stabilizer. Would you use the

containers still?

abundance gas

If i remember correctly, the isooctane is lite and will evaporate first. This is the octane setting part of fuel. It also gives the fuel the starting characteristics needed for a particular use.

My recommendation is to blend this fuel a gallon at a time with a full tank. I should qualify my remark. If the fuel is 100% gasoline, blend it with fresh fuel. If the fuel is ethanol blended, ditch it, use as week killer, set it outside, let evaporate and deal with the goo later, take it to the range and shoot flaming arrows at it (from a safe distance of course).

Use stabil any time storing fuel. This holds the various "layers" together, although there is degredation of the fuel no matter what the time frame.

Fuel jug should be OK as long as the lid screws on tight.

Edit, spelling. Do not put in lawn equipment!

OT - Help needed please

I have 2 5 gal plastic gas cans in the garage. The tops closing the sprouts

fell over sometime in the last couple of years. Can I still use them for

gas containers? If any dust, whatever, got in them, can the gas be used

and the car okay ('03 civic)?

Any help would be appreciated. I really don't want to buy new containers

but will...Orchard Supply (OSH) closing their store here and I got them

there years ago, would try to get them there if need be.

thank you.

Satellites shut down

Q posted this last Thursday. Snowhite 1-7. CIA in the dark now. MSM and others might present this as “bad” and be dangerous for national security.

This is part of the take-down plan. Isolate the back channels. Cut off the supply lines. Shut off the flow of money for operations. Infiltrate the bad parties. Gather intel listening to their comms. Then shut down their comms so they can’t communicate. Q has been posting this as part of the plan for a long time. Rest easy. Enjoy the show!

@AGXIIK

I agree with you 100%.

The problem in trying to "evaluate" cryptos (specifically, the Litecoin to Bitcoin Ratio) is that we don't have a very long history to establish a historical "mean". What should the long-term LTC to BTC Ratio be? It's anybody's guess.

Maybe even more germane is the question "What is Litecoin/Bitcoin worth?" This is no flippant question! My answer is that nobody knows. Bitcoin could drop to zero, or soar to $1,000,000+ per coin. If people decide it has "value" (even if only because it can't be expanded to infinity), then it becomes a simple case of supply vs. demand. We know the supply is "fixed" (barring some unforeseen shenanigans), so demand will determine price.

Bitcoin (and Litecoin) meet all of the criteria for being currency:

A medium of exchange

A unit of account

Portable

Durable

Divisible

Fungible

Like our current fiat currency, they lack the additional characteristic of money:

A store of value

With greater acceptance and use, the price of Bitcoin and Litecoin should stabilize to the point where they could be considered money. Not saying it will happen, but I feel it has a much better shot at it than the FRNs in our wallets!

Just as silver is more volatile than gold, I expect Litecoin to be much more volatile than Bitcoin. That is not necessarily a bad thing! If today's Litecoin to Bitcoin Ratio is skewed in favor of Bitcoin, then we should expect to see Litecoin benefit from a leveling of that ratio -- regardless of what the price of either coin actually is.

Is it possible that Bitcoin drops to $2,000 per coin, but the utility of Litecoin causes people to value it at a ratio of 10:1? That would still be a tripling of Litecoin's price from today . . .

BTC Weekly Chart Pitchfork Style

I don't want to change the subject but it is the weekend so I wanted to post my latest Bitcoin chart.

It looks like it is really going to take off soon. It is out of the down trending Pitchfork & is following the up trending one.

The move from mid-July to Dec, last year, is about the same % move to the circled area around $100,000 (which a few people are predicting) as can be seen on this logarithmic chart.

FYI, the Median Line acts like a magnet to the price. That's just the way the Pitchfork phenomenon works.

Please sign up for my newsletter. I still give 10% to Craig every month from Turdville members' fees as a thank you for letting me advertise here.
