Discussing De-Dollarization with Da Jackass

153

A perceived acceleration toward the end of US dollar hegemony has been a hot topic here at TFMR this week. Thus, we thought it should be the primary topic for our holiday weekend Jim Willie discussion, too.

There's no easy way to summarize this conversation with bullet points. Instead, just notice that we began the call by discussing de-dollarization and then just let it flow from there.

I think you'll find this interesting and informative. Thanks again to The Jackass for so freely sharing his time with us!

As much as I like Willie, I still prefer this one:

I'll chime in on Rogers too

Jimmy has said repeatedly that he is NOT SELLING any of his gold. He will BUY MORE (he says), when it falls to about 50% of its highs (around $1900).... hence the $950 figure. But he has also said that his buy-in price is subject to all kinds of things, including war or financial upheavel in world markets (such as U.S. dollar sell-off), which makes the $950 figure quite meaningless.

Q

Could Q be the Russians? They did shut down the US Navy electronically, off Yemen a few years ago as well as some USAF planes in the Mediterranean.

edit: what about the Russian satellite Cosmos 2519 that was stalking a US Satellite?

Thanks rxman For Your Spy Satellite Post

I was thinking about you earlier as Q Anon has been very active sharing of things behind the scenes. This fall is going to be very interesting!

Gold @ $900

Gold production declining while costs escalate even at these prices.

Earnings breakeven for the major gold producers is $1230/oz with free cash flow breakeven at $1297. We're at the hard floor for gold prices right now. I guess it's possible we transiently go below these prices, but if we do production will shut down and mines will start closing. I'm sorry, but I just don't see $900. And I do believe First Majestic's AISC last quarter was just north of $16., so we're going to see silver production shut in at the prices we're at now. Don't know about the other majors.

Sunday Morning Ponderings!

There are those who seem to still speak, from beyond the grave. Mr. McCain had his messages prepared and the media just love them. He has been buried all week long and will likely be on the major news outlets for at least another month. I also noted that Billy Graham died this year and his funeral was over quickly, being buried once and forgotten by the media. (They really do not like Billy's message over the last 70 years nor his messages from what he has said from eternity.)

Well, it is Sunday morning! If John and Billy both arrive at the gates of the Kingdom, the Lord will not be focused on their war records. If this was TOF, I would expand greatly. jmo Jim

Jim Rogers

has a motherload of gold already and other assets from his partnership days with Soros. He does not need more. He can say or live with whatever happens. Hard to trust him given his pedegree.
