Thursday Conversation - Brent Johnson of Santiago Capital

An informative discussion on the future of the US$.

CEO, Portfolio Manager
Santiago Capital

Brent Johnson is one of the good guys. He's a sound money advocate who understands that, though change is coming, it's not necessarily coming next week.

To that end, it was great fun to get caught up with Brent and discuss the US$...not only the long-term forecast but what can be expected in the next 12-24 months, too. So please be sure to give this podcast a listen and then fully consider the points that Brent makes. While we all expect the dollar's days as global reserve currency to eventually come to an end, how you position yourself in the run-up to the event may impact how fully prepared you are for navigating the crisis when it comes.

Thanks again to Brent for so generously sharing his time with us!

Thomas M and GE:

Thomas M and GE:

I look now and GE is down 3%.

The problems at GE are many, esp with moodys downgrading GE this week.

GE iis illiquid and cannot raise money at low rates if at all.

So it does not have the access to capital to wait out or fix things, so its never going to be what it used to be.

I do not have the answer to this at my finger tips but if GE had been doing buybacks over the past 10 years then thats criminal among the top officers and board. hindsite being 20/20 they bought back stock at high prices now have to go out and find a way to raise capital to pay off 115 billion of liabiities with only 10 billion of cash.

good luck--and now think about how many companies like GE there are, and also just how much of top management is dumb or corrupt, just like government.

investors and advisors had better start analyzing what they have or there will be a ton of fiduciary lawsuits. But then the insureres wil be broke so who pays off.

this is a house of cards.

Leaked Open Society

Leaked Open Society Foundation Document; The Last Election

This one is allegedly an internal Soros’s Open Society Foundation document with restricted distribution which openly says the United States with its religion and the right to bear arms is an obstacle to obtain a world government, and the elections should be eliminated and the 2016 election will be the last election in the U.S.

Wow, Orange posts that China can manipulate the weather and now the Globalist agenda gets proven to exist. What's next ? DEW weapons caused the California fires ?

SLV promising

SLV promising

I know SLV is like a dirty word to PM investors, but the chart can give some useful info. As you can see if we rally today, this will give SLV its best close for the past 31 days. It's a start!

Edit: Actually yesterday's close is already the best close so far for the last month. The solid candles work: close below opening price. Red, close below previous day' close; black close, above previous day's close. As you can see the green line has been resistance.

It is true that Apple's chart

It is true that Apple's chart right now does not look good. But maybe GE is the reason that the stock markets are rallying? I am not trying to be a smart ass here - GE should still be very important in how the Fed thinks and acts. They (the Fed) probably want to keep their day job.

Amazing that the fang stocks

Amazing that the fang stocks are havingtrouble plus apple and the market is up. Tuesday is election day. Is there a link between the good market and the election, just like there has been in the past. I have little confidence in anything coming from govt. a bunch of underachievers, low energy, some corrupt.

Birth death model. As i

Birth death model. As i recall, when it started in 1998, it was a 2,000 jobs adjustment based on when people lose jobs there was a lag in reporting for those quickly finding a job.

that would mean that over a short period of time the number in birth death would stabilize and we would see only very small changes, but usually we see the large upward changes.

Just saying.

but also, to get a high number , you first need a lot of people losing jobs. Think about that a minute.
