Thursday Conversation - Brent Johnson of Santiago Capital

An informative discussion on the future of the US$.

CEO, Portfolio Manager
Santiago Capital

Brent Johnson is one of the good guys. He's a sound money advocate who understands that, though change is coming, it's not necessarily coming next week.

To that end, it was great fun to get caught up with Brent and discuss the US$...not only the long-term forecast but what can be expected in the next 12-24 months, too. So please be sure to give this podcast a listen and then fully consider the points that Brent makes. While we all expect the dollar's days as global reserve currency to eventually come to an end, how you position yourself in the run-up to the event may impact how fully prepared you are for navigating the crisis when it comes.

Thanks again to Brent for so generously sharing his time with us!

Here's a big shocker!!...

Here's a big shocker!!...

On yesterday's $10 decline, total OI in Comex gold rose by 16,500 contracts! All those fresh Spec shorts just got their faces ripped off today.

And over the past three days, as price fell 42¢, total OI in Comex silver surged by 6,200...with nearly half of that coming in yesterday on the 18¢ decline. What happens next? The new Spec shorts there also got their asses kicked today to the tune of 50¢.

Bankers win. Specs lose. Nearly every time.

Or, as we said in that article for Sprott back on Tuesday:

Brent Johnson is a top bloke

Brent Johnson is a top bloke as is Luke Gromen, worth getting on twitter if you are not already and follow them both as they jab back and forth with their contrary views, great fun and best of all, it makes you think all the time, keeps you on your toes, my head says Brent is right but my heart says Luke, both my head and heart are shit at predicting, so that`s what makes it so good. Great interview TF, thanks !

It takes much more than just

It takes much more than just downsizing. If we live in southern California, and sell our million dollar Mc Mansion, and then purchase a $300,000 condo down the street, we may have made a tactical error. The geese are flying out of the cold areas, looking for better lakes to raise their young. The illegal Central American convoy hopefuls are looking for a land to prosper and want the working class of Americans to provide all of their basics. The Middle East wants to send their flocks into your neighborhood, wanting new laws to control the minds and souls of a formerly free people.

The whole world appears to hate America and at the same time, love our foreign aid and want to live on the banks of our rivers, while planning how to completely change our culture into what they fled from.

Another 6.76 mts of "gold" entered the sham GLD "inventory" today.
