Give Thanks and Pass the Jackass

In a holiday tradition here at TFMR, our old pal Jim Willie returns today to discuss a wide range of issues with questions posed by listeners in our A2A webinar format.

Following an initial, 30-minute discussion of the significance of the recent events in Saudi Arabia, The Jackass spends nearly an hour fielding questions directly from the audience. Among the topics covered:

  • the growing economic conflict between the US and "the Eurasian Alliance"
  • the Swiss banks and shortages of allocated gold
  • reports of US intervention to allow ISIS terrorists to escape Raqqa
  • that "The Big Reset" has already begun, you likely just haven't noticed
  • the Saudi Aramco IPO and what it signifies
  • Jim's preferred asset allocation mix
  • and, in true Jackass free-form style, a whole lot more in between

This baby checks in at 85 minutes. At an average speed of 70 mph, that means you can cover nearly 100 miles of drive time while listening on your way to your in-laws! For everyone else, maybe break it up into segments so that you don't miss anything.

Meh--- I picked a heck of bad time to stop sniffing miners

BTFD or wait until the dips get dippier?

Let's see what Sprott has to say about this

Mid December rallies? Maybe

Tax loss selling? Could be

Saving some dry powder might work well for early Jan purchases.

Between Willie very favorable for silver and Sprott on the job in Australia, I'm pretty comfortable that 2018 will be good for the metals.

If you look at the chart it shows that Novo closed Wednesday at a critical support/resistance point of USD$5.245 and held yesterday on the TSX down only 5 cents. So it was at a point where there was going to be a resolution one way or the other and it didn't need much of a push to likely engender stop loss profit taking selling.

The chart shows support at USD$3.20, which has held 3 times going back to late August, but I doubt you'll be able to buy for $2.

Disclosure: I hold KL but no Novo, since I was late to the show, but I've been watching it carefully these past several days. I might well buy if it reaches that support level which is around CAD$4.

none of this Novo stuff is atypical

On deals like this, the actual news comes to infrequently. Therefore, you get spikes of interest followed by long periods of selling and bear raids the drive the price back down.

Eric solidly believes in much so that he's on the board. That's good enough for me. Where it is today doesn't bother me. Let's see where it is one year from today.

Two Things...

Katie Rose: Exactly ! That is what America and Americans are all about. At least most of them. But America's Government has become nothing but a boil on the ass of America. It's time to cut that boil off.

Turd: BRICS Forming a Single Gold Trading System: If Jim Willie is right. The system has already been tried tested and true. Just a formality in rolling it out.

Makes your heart warm.

Very well done by the young lady.

My question is, does the $300k go in the misc income or unearned slot on the 1040ez? Or punt?

Personal note, our oldest son stationed in Florida showed up to surprise my wife for her 50th! My daughter and he? have been planning the surprise for months. We (my daughter, youngest son, wife and myself) went to eat lunch after church on Sunday at our favorite Mexican restaurant, my oldest walks in grinning ear to ear! We shed a few tears.

Off to play golf with him this afternoon (or fishing or range time, his choice).

Ringing bells for Salvation Army tomorrow to get me in the Christmas mood.

Stick something in the pot when you walk by.

1-5 years. If Eric sells I sell. If they f up with their sample size again, i just look at it as another opportunity to buy.
