As per tradition here at TFMR, our pal Jim Willie stopped by to celebrate the 3-day holiday weekend of Labor Day in the U.S. You should be sure to carve out some time to give this audio a thorough listen.

I decided to change the format a bit for this show. Instead of a list of questions for The Jackass to answer, I thought it would be fun to just simply give him some general topics and then just let him ride a stream of consciousness to wherever his big brain leads him.

Those three topics could be loosely described as:

  • The Fed/Bonds/Derivatives/NIRP/EU Banks. This is the first 20 minutes or so.
  • The G20 meeting in September/The IMF SDR inclusion of the yuan in October/gold. This evolves over the next 15-20 minutes.
  • International rejection of US treasuries/The future of the dollar/Gold-backed bonds/Gold-backed trade notes. This is the final 25 minutes.

So, anyway, have fun listening. I tried to keep my input to a minimum as most subscribers here at TFMR already know what I think on most of these issues. These podcasts are designed to give you access to what The Jackass thinks, instead.

Enjoy,

TF

To all Turdites

What a difference a week makes!

Enjoying this stellar finish, encouraging rally on the Globex, and who knows what surprises the SGE might have in store for the world!

Let's hope -- and thanks, Turd, for keeping the good ship TFMR sailing forward with knowledge, strength purpose and resolve!

,64 quarter

We had a "popcorn" bottle where we tossed all our small change (no pennies) we just emptied it after a few years  - just over 1200 dollars worth all nickles quarters dimes not a single 90 per center amongst them ha ha ,what's the chance of that huh!

by the way nice day for the miners mine up almost 5.5% , climbing nicely out of correction hangin' tight - furck the lot of 'em, let them play their  games, trying to prevent the inevitable and cleaning up along the way.

Auggie

Wow!! Auggie, what in ignorant prick you are, fair enough to make any fitting comment , but coming into some ones house , pissing on the carpet and  wiping your arse on the curtains !!?  That  should earn you a smack in the mouth.

Hopefully you will learn some  decent manners and conduct yourself like a decent adult  if you stay around Turdville

If you cannot at least be civil  - sit in the corner and STFU!!

So, basically

So, basically, our official government economic statistics are such an obviously rigged game spewing whatever numbers suit those with their hands on the levers of power that a bunch of nobodies at a web site run by a guy nicknamed for feces was able to predict just what the employment report would be without recourse to a single bit of employment data but having an idea what numbers would suit the lever pullers.

Chaos will erupt across

Chaos will erupt across America in less than 100 days... no matter who wins the election

MikeAdams.jpgTuesday, August 30, 2016

Social chaos

(NaturalNews) The clock is ticking for America. There are 70 days remaining until the presidential election, and after the results are counted, America will be a tinderbox ready to explode no matter who wins.

What follows is an educated analysis of the political friction now escalating in America. Note carefully that nothing in this article should be construed as any intention to call for violence of any kind. I do reference such acts, however, as part of human history as well as likely outcomes in our near future. What I'm offering here is an analysis and a warning, along with a call to prepare for what's coming.

Anecdotal Story

For years, maybe (8-9),  I've been going pretty regularly to a little local Friday night live auction here in Reno, NV.  Being Reno, there's lots of PM's floating around this town.  Tonight for the first time I can remember there was no junk silver, .999 rounds or bars, ASE's, gold in any form except jewelry and some very small placer nuggets from local mines.  All they did have were 4 common date, circulated Morgans that had been cleaned.  That was it.   In the past the auction typically would have 10 to 15 lots of bars and rounds and 4 to 8 lots of junk Ag, dimes, quarters, halves, sometimes some gold coins. The Morgans all brought $40.00 to $50.00 each, more than they usually would.  (Not from me)

The people consigning PM's to this auction just quit doing it.  I asked the auction folks what happened to the silver and they didn't know or weren't saying.  Maybe its a one time event.  I hope so.  I'll find out next week.

Re: Chaos will erupt . . .

Is that story 'alarmist' ?  Is it 'self serving' ? (They sell products.)  Is your first reaction to think "Its a long 3 day holiday weekend and I don't want to think about that." ? (I confess that those thoughts flashed through my mind.)

There are things happening in the US and the world that have never taken place ever before. The entire world is gripped by a phony fiat made-up-outta-nothing money system, and its collapsing. Those who benefit from that corrupt system are taking desperate measures to try to preserve their criminal privileges.

Human beings often have normalcy bias. We think tomorrow will be like today and like yesterday. Probably even I and others on this site have this . . at least to some extent. We buy PMs and mining stocks with the idea that 'the market' will eventually operate with some rationality. Our investments will go up. But what if that doesn't happen; what if the whole damned system & society goes down ?  Well, unlike other investors, our physical PMs are held as insurance against such a disaster. To the extent that real money will have value in such a scenario, we're doing o.k.  It's likely a good idea to look at our real wealth - that which enables us to actually live. So, this weekend I'll be looking over our supplies of food, water, etc - to see what we may add. I don't know if things will get crazy in 100 days, but I expect the next few years to be very 'interesting times'.

All the best to you - JW

If that includes the whole world I say bring it on...
I'm over 72 and getting ever nearer to the Knacker's Yard so have seen the best of my days and don't give a flying feck. smiley

Oh FFS get a grip America

Things will NOT go tits up unless YOU do.

You are the people who are expected to go apeshit. You. Do you feel like going apeshit????

Don't let the media OWN you.

Oh No, No, No J Siefert

I'm planning to be 120...Then likely slow down a little...and walk my doggies with you around the BIS/Basel area....Just don't forget.smiley

And now looking for two miners to buy...One big, one small....PAAS is likely one of them.

Fred Hayek's picture

Canary -- if you do

If you do take your doggies for a walk around the BIS building in Basel, make sure they shit on it.  Turnabout is fair play.

PAAS

Just bought that back Thursday, AG  Friday,

also in SIL and SILJ for trades--my broker gets upset if I day trade say sell SIL at 10 am AND buy it back at 2--so I switch off sell SIL buy back SILJ.

I am about to get a nasty letter from my broker--my wifes IRA is pretty much fully invested. I sold JNUG one day early and bought NUGT back after a decline (to avoid the pattern day trader label-but whats the problem there?) --but apparently in an IRA you have to wait 3 days for the sales proceeds to be good money before you can buy anything.

That's not the broker but the system. The system designed to give all of us as hard a time as possible.

Hillarys tax on trading is going to piss me off.

if they want to do something abut HFT, they don't, they could charge a tax on multiple trades in and out of the same thing on a daily basis  if over 1 million. That would tame down volatility

canary, JSiefart, SilveryBlue, et al....

When my wife passed away and I hit 70, my doctor wanted to know if I had experienced any thoughts about "hurting myself". I told him I had thought about shooting myself in the head but had decided against it. He asked me what had changed my mind. I told him that I was afraid of suffering a permanent hearing loss because the gun would be too close to my ear. His nurse almost fell in the floor laughing. The doctor didn't get it. Go figure.
