A2A with The Doc of SilverDoctors

It was great fun to visit with my pal, The Doc, today. It was also highly informative as we discussed the dynamics of being a bullion dealer and how this impacts physical supply and demand of gold and silver coins.

Among the topics discussed in this 53-minute call:

  • How does "coin allocation" from the US Mint work
  • What does it mean to be an Authorized Participant at the wholesale level
  • How do large dealers manage risk and inventory
  • What types of coins are the biggest sellers and why
  • The advantages of 90% silver and why people own it
  • Current demand and supply trends within the industry

And much, much more. This was an extremely informative discussion, the likes of which you're simply not going to find anywhere else. Please carve out some time to give it a thorough listen. And, of course, you can always find excellent deals at www.sdbullion.com.

I remember in 1975, as a High School student (Albuquerque N.M.), the cops would bust us all the time for drinking beers and smoking dope. We'd never get handcuffed, taken away, or criminally prosecuted. Worst case scenario would be possession of a cannabis pipe or resin in a bong bowl. Front up to court, get a verbal reprimand, deal with mom and dad, go to sleep in your own bed.

Nowadays, there seems to be no discretion. The police are paid to be thug-like money collectors and they collaborate with politicians and the Federal government.

I'll update my avatar when I arrive to the Philippines. Replace my wife in the photo as often as I am able.

Decisions... Decisions...

This is not appropriate for this site, and being the time difference between Australia and the US, I hope I am forgiven, as things seem a little quiet now, so I'll relate to a topic I raised briefly before. How many are prepared to quit the country they live in? Cut and run. Most of you are reasonably happy, and so was I until divorce slapped me in the face. For the past few months I've lived in despair, lethargic, and dumbfounded. Leaving my house, and living in a cramped apartment like a slave.

Now, finally, I am awakening. Planning my move to the Philippines from Australia. Started selling my belongings yesterday, and was amazed at all the useless shit I own. Even at half price, I can sustain myself for the next 7 months until the separation is complete and my marriage ends.

Then, I sell my vehicles, caravan, and cabin cruiser. Parlay the precious metals accumulated (wife not interested) and make my way to the Philippines. At the age of 57, I'm not going to stand still and feel sorry for myself.

Did the sums... Can buy a top shelf condo, travel about, and have a stable of 25 yo girlfriends from here to the never never...

Power to you happily married men, but to those in my situation, SNAP. Don't let the grass grow under your feet.

Boots on the ground

Maybe its time for a new foreign policy ... If Trump could speak articulatively to such he might win some white women voters....His problem is that he can't get on message...and stay there.

Safety DAN on AG

Good group of charts....mine are somewhat less sophisticated ....but sensing the same thing... AG is running out of gas unless Silver puts on a strong move which does not seem to be in the immediate cards. The market certainly wasn't as impressed with AG'earings as they were SSRI and SLW's.

Here is a comparison chart group

Funny, doesn't seem to want to load compltely .... on can add the ssri and hl symbols if one is interested...

AG is way ahead for the year...SSRI coming up....probably some rotation going on...

I have $16 and $18 calls sold on AG, hoping to collect the last of August premium dollars.

Safety Dan

Not to worry. We are aware of our oversight and are diligently working to 'get our arse in a sling' in Pakistan, Southern Philippines and Sudan while possibly taking on the Chinese and Iranian navies. Just think, if we lose a carrier, somebody is going to lose Beijing. Then, when NYC takes one in the ear, gold prices could be looking in the rear view mirror at $50,000 shiny. And then, O'bozo can crown himself "Supreme Emperor and President for Life, Da-Da".
