A2A with The Doc of SilverDoctors

112

It was great fun to visit with my pal, The Doc, today. It was also highly informative as we discussed the dynamics of being a bullion dealer and how this impacts physical supply and demand of gold and silver coins.

Among the topics discussed in this 53-minute call:

  • How does "coin allocation" from the US Mint work
  • What does it mean to be an Authorized Participant at the wholesale level
  • How do large dealers manage risk and inventory
  • What types of coins are the biggest sellers and why
  • The advantages of 90% silver and why people own it
  • Current demand and supply trends within the industry

And much, much more. This was an extremely informative discussion, the likes of which you're simply not going to find anywhere else. Please carve out some time to give it a thorough listen. And, of course, you can always find excellent deals at www.sdbullion.com.

USDJPY - Pitchfork Style on 8-hour Chart

This is my latest take on the USDJPY. I enjoyed the small video Infometron posted yesterday about my alive comment yesterday, so I wanted to include this picture from The Young Frankenstein movie as a nod to his sense of humor.

um, not so sure about that, itching ears and all...they will simply get a new line of BS to believe in to replace the current set.

Became official when Clinton and Robert Rubin got rid of Glass Steagall.

recent weakness in gold

first it was not significant

second, was it just 8 days ago at the convention, (or was it 2 weeks ago) that both our President and front runner for President said the economy was good and strong, and if so (they did) just who will hold them accountable for that gaffe?

I am serious as everytime they say the economy is good the msm talks it up and metals go into slumber mode.

I understand Bernankes speech where perception is important and Sinclair has spoken about that. But again, when does perception economics cross the line to deception economics.

Deja Vu

Wow, just opened investing.com expecting 1330 gold and 104 usdjpy, instead it looks exactly like yesterday morning. Hope it ends better. Looks like this whole market management scheme is getting tougher to run...

Job numbers

It really gets to the point that job numbers don't matter when everyone is hurting and out of work. These are the ones who have never had ass-istnence and can see the writing on the wall. Didn't the Brits figure it out? The only thing left is fractional voting for the USA to maintain the status quo.
