A2A with Jim Comiskey

105

Legendary commodity broker Jim Comiskey joined us today for the first A2A of the new year.

In this 45-minute call, Jim addresses:

  • the current, historic move in crude oil
  • falling natural gas prices
  • how he's consistently profiting trading currencies
  • why he prefers futures options to futures
  • the outlook for the dollar, the euro and ECBQE
  • and much, much more...

I think you'll find this discussion very helpful and a great start to the 2015 A2A season.

Looks like Citigroup is on the edge

First they pass the FDIC derivatives coverage inside the omnibus. Now their lead traders for emerging markets just up and leave.

Things are about to move very quickly, methinks.

french-cdn newpapers

Are now publishing the prophet Muhammad cartoons. Possible False flag, red flag eyebrow raised. Could a angry young islamic population be the perfect cover for the harper government to further their agenda leading into an election year? I believe so... fear it works in the USA.

Europe has

An extensive history of Genocides.

My personal perspective is that any Muslim claiming that Muslims will take over Europe is being both naive and drastically overconfident.

The more likely outcome is that there will be a cultural tipping point (probably due to a monetary, fiscal, economic collapse where the local power elites will seize the opportunity to direct fear/rage at a minority) where xenophobia metastasizes and goes into a "hyperbolic rise" where non-integrated minorities - even numerically substantial minorities become the targets of wholesale and organized violence.

If I was a Muslim - I would not be living in Europe or anywhere in the west.

SGE Thumbs Up provided....

Just noting that the SGE is still doing 9+ tonnes per day as per your numbers - nice.

Looking forward to the official PBC Gold Numbers that will be announced this year. Expecting a big number that can be added to the SGE numbers since 2009 as the PBC doesn't buy it's gold from the SGE.

Also - given that all local Chinese mining production goes via the SGE, it means that every ounce of increase that the PBC announces has come from imports.

The Chinese seem to want a seat at the SDR table, so I would expect a substantial number north of 3000 tonnes total

What would be the point in disclosing 3,000 tonnes?? If your going to change the game you are going to have to announce 20,000 tonnes plus....

20,000 tonnes

Would be surprising. It has only been 6 years since they announced 1054 tonnes.

I'm thinking at least 3000, could be 6000.

We will know for sure soon.
