More Great Info from Batchelor and Cohen

Events are moving quickly with hopes for a peaceful resolution growing. There are some important meeting scheduled for next week and, last night, Batchelor and Cohen brought us all up to speed.

Again, just yesterday, there were two big announcements:

  1. German chancellor Merkel is headed to Kiev on Saturday to meet with President Poroshenko:
  2. Then, next Tuesday, Poroshenko and Putin are planning to meet in Minsk:

This effects the metals and you can already see the impact, especially in palladium. But this "peace process" still has a long ways to go and we are fortunate to have these weekly Batchelor-Cohen discussions to help keep us up-to-speed.

Why I Quit the Democratic Party Yesterday

Eric Zuesse

I draw the line at racist fascism, otherwise known as ‘nazism’ (lower-case ‘n,’ just as lower-case ‘f’ ‘fascism’ refers to any fascist party of any country, rather than to the Italian original, ‘Fascist Party’). (The German original nazi party was, of course the capital-’N’ ‘Nazi Party,’ the nazi party of Germany.) I left the Democratic Party yesterday, because I cannot support the first American President who ever installed anywhere in the world a nazi regime — it has never happened before, not even under a Republican President; and, until Obama, I had always assumed that if it ever would happen, it could come only under a Republican President, never under any Democratic one. But I was wrong — mortifyingly wrong — because Barack Obama did this in Ukraine (see here and here for the evidence); he is the first-ever U.S. President to install a nazi regime anywhere, and so I wrote to my Representative seeking Obama’s impeachment by the Democrats in Congress; and, yesterday, that person, a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives, told me that, notwithstanding Barack Obama’s having unquestionably done this, this Democratic Representative will not introduce on the floor of the U.S. House (which is the only place where a bill of impeachment can be introduced) a bill of impeachment against this — what is the appropriate term for such a person, if not a — nazi U.S. President. (That’s nazi as an ideology, racist fascist, not as a party designation, which is merely a party’s name.) Simply because Obama calls himself a ‘Democrat,’ that Representative in the House will not introduce a bill to impeach him. There was no argument on the facts; the facts weren’t at issue here at all; it’s just that Obama calls himself a ‘Democrat.’ That’s all.

Syrian chemicals were safely destroyed off Crete, says OPCW

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the international body responsible for overseeing the destruction of Syrian arms off Crete, says that there was no pollution as a result of the operation on board the US vessel Cape Ray.

“The operation was successfully completed weeks ahead of the 60-day schedule the US had estimated would be needed, and OPCW inspectors aboard the ship verified that no chemicals of any kind escaped into the sea or otherwise impacted the environment,” said Ahmet Üzümcü, OPCW director-general.

The effluent from the hydrolysis operations is being transported to Finland and Germany, where it will be disposed of at land-based facilities.

The Cape Ray, equipped with the U.S.-developed Field Deployable Hydrolysis System, neutralized 581.5 metric tons of DF, a sarin precursor chemical, and 19.8 metric tons of HD, an ingredient of sulfur mustard, while afloat in the Mediterranean. , Wednesday August 20, 2014 (13:32)

Off Subject - Ebola & Other "Snake oil" Diseases Cured

This was also posted in the DOTs thread.

In the Ebola thread several thought Nanosilver or any colloidal silver product is another snake oil. Just a little history – silver was used for centuries; Pioneers used a silver dollar in their water or milk to extend the usage before bacteria would contaminate it. In World War II and the Korean War Navy personnel who contacted an STD received an irrigation of silver nitrate into their bladders. Now if you think that is strange here’s another – If you were born in a hospital after about 1940, you received drops of silver nitrate in each of your eyes upon delivery. Still the US Markets discourage the usage of silver, colloidal or otherwise.

This pops up when I search on google for – Colloidal Silver Research Studies:

Colloidal Silver | NCCAM

National Center for Complementary and Alternative M...

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not consider colloidal silver to be safe or effective for treating any disease or condition and has issued an ...

But takes me nowhere when I press the link. Do you think there is a problem here?

From a Google search of Colloidal Silver:

HowStuffWorks "Colloidal Silver: What You Need to Know"

And this is an excerpt from the article linked from above: "It's really not known if colloidal silver cures ailments, and the side effects include everything from seizures and kidney damage to fatigue and skin irritation."

Today there are many untruths and partial truths in our media and online information. Please see the term medical uses of silver. I’ve copied excerpts from Wikipedia’s Medical uses of silver

Medical uses of silver

  • From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • The medical uses of silver include its incorporation into wound dressings, creams, and as an antibiotic coating on medical devices. While wound dressings containing silver sulfadiazine or silver nanomaterials may be used on external infections,[1][2][3] there is little evidence to support such use.[4] There is tentative evidence that silver coatings onurinary catheters and endotracheal breathing tubes may reduce the incidence of catheter-related urinary tract infections and ventilator-associated pneumonia, respectively.[5][6]The silver ion (Ag+
) is bioactive and in sufficient concentration readily kills bacteria in vitro. Silver exhibits low toxicity in the human body, and minimal risk is expected due to clinical exposure by inhalation, ingestion, dermal application.[7] Silver and silver nanoparticles are used as an antimicrobial in a variety of industrial, healthcare and domestic applications.[8]
  • Colloidal silver (a colloid consisting of silver particles suspended in liquid) and formulations containing silver salts were used by physicians in the early 20th century, but their use was largely discontinued in the 1940s following the development of safer and effective modern antibiotics.[9][10] Since the 1990s, colloidal silver has again been marketed as analternative medicine, often with extensive "cure-all" claims. Colloidal silver products remain available in many countries as dietary supplements and homeopathic remedies, although they are not effective in treating any known condition and carry the risk of both permanent cosmetic side effects such as argyria and more serious ones such as allergic reactions, and interactions with prescription medications.[11][12]

Alternative medicine

  • Since about 1990, there has been a resurgence of the promotion of colloidal silver as a dietary supplement, or homeopathic remedy,[12] marketed with claims of it being an essential mineral supplement, or that it can prevent or treat numerous diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, herpes,[9] and tuberculosis.[12][54][55] No medical evidence supports the effectiveness of colloidal silver for any of these claimed indications.[11][12][56]

Lets address HIV/AIDS, Herpes & Tuberculosis…

The Department of Defense has a group called ‘DOD’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency. They found a cure to not only Ebola but other hemorrhagic fever viruses. The key is treating in the early stages of this cure.

Before we get into the results of this research, as documented in the published version of the DOD presentation, it’s important to note that one of the main tasks of the DOD’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency is to “anticipate and mitigate future threats long before they have a chance to harm the United States and our allies.”

In other words, the researchers were specifically looking for ways to stop Ebola or other hemorrhagic fever viruses from damaging our national security.

And the results they found when using silver nanoparticles for that precise purpose were strikingly positive -- enough so to warrant not just the presentation to health and regulatory authorities, but its later publication and public release.

What Researchers Discovered

The researchers tested silver nanoparticles of several different sizes and concentrations on infected cells in vitro (meaning, in the test tube).

And they concluded that silver nanoparticles were able to neutralize hemorrhagic fever viruses inside the cells by “decreasing S segment gene expression and concomitantly decreasing progeny virus production.”

Translation: Silver stops the Ebola virus and related hemorrhagic fever viruses from replicating inside the cells. And when there’s no viral replication inside the cells, there’s no spread of infection!

The researchers had discovered the holy grail Ebola treatments. But they also discovered that neutralization of the virus by silver occurs during the early phases of viral replication.

Therefore, they pointed out that for antimicrobial silver to be effective against Ebola and other hemorrhagic fever viruses, the treatment would have to be administered PRIOR to viral infection or at least within the first few hours after initial exposure to the virus.

In other words, for antimicrobial silver to be effective, an exposed person would need to have already been taking it, or at the very least would have to start taking it within a few short hours of exposure to an infected individual.

Another interesting thing the researchers discovered is that while an enzymatic protein called Cathepsin B has been shown to play an essential role in Ebola virus replication, silver nanoparticles work to decrease cathepsin activity, thus further limiting viral replication in the cell and subsequent spread of the virus to other cells.

And by far the most interesting thing the researchers discovered (at least, to me) is that only very low concentrations of silver nanoparticles were necessary to prevent replication of the virus.

Indeed, low concentrations of 10 ppm nanosilver appears to have worked better than higher concentrations of 25 ppm or 50 ppm nanosilver. This means there’s no need for overly high silver concentrations.

What’s more, the smallest silver particles tested by the researchers worked far better than the larger silver particles tested.

This demonstrates once more that the use of very small silver particles is far more important than the “ppm” or concentration of the colloidal silver solution one is using. Simply put, smaller silver particles penetrate cells and tissues easier, and are therefore better able to get to the point of infection before the virus spreads.

Currently there are several IV tests in process using Nanosliver for later stages Ebola and other hemorrhagic fevers and cancer. But you will just have to take my word for it as I have no links, no documents. Just the conversation of a friend who is a owner director of ABL, a producer of the product known as "Nanosilver".

Now there are many who want to get into the colloidal silver act: Silver Makes Antibiotics Thousands of Times More Effective ... Well of course, “it’s the silver dummy”. Not the antibiotics. Now one better understands the saying “born with a silver spoon in his mouth”.

Remember above and the published side effects? Many sites, not just Wikipedia indicate side-effects; some suggest vomiting, nausea, rashes, virus or other side effects. How safe is Nanosilver to use? (you might notice the firm ABL below).

First Ever Double-Blind Human Ingestion Study on Nanosilver

American Biotech Labs has just released what is believed to be the first ever human ingestion safety study on a colloidal silver supplement. The published abstract for the study states that ingestion of the patented ABL nanosilver particle showed no negative effects on any tested system in the body. The study included 3, 7 and 14-day exposures to American Biotech Labs 10 ppm (15 ml/day) silver solution in a double-blind, placebo controlled cross-over phase design. Healthy volunteer subjects (36 subjects in all, 12 per each time-exposure studied), underwent complete metabolic, blood and platelet count, urinalysis tests, sputum hyper-responsiveness and inflammation evaluation, physical examinations, vital sign measurements, and magnetic resonance imaging of the chest and abdomen at baseline and at the end of each phase. According to the study authors, “No clinically important changes in any metabolic, hematologic, or urinalysis measure identified were determined. No morphological (or structural) changes were detected in the lungs, heart (cardiac function) or abdominal organs. No changes were noted in sputum reactive oxygen species or in pro-inflammatory cytokines.”

I almost forgot about ABL’s sister company that sells a topical agent and embedded silver mesh, with the FDA approvals. FDA approvls was a big issue on the Ebola thread. The topical is sold here, About ABL Medical - SilvrSTAT and the other medical products are sold directly to the hospital and doctor by representatives. Even the Military is using ABL’s products. The long and short, studies show Nanosliver will cure Ebola and will cure diseases with antivirus and antibacterial properties. It’s also a target of Big Pharma and others to keep off the market.

You can find clothing with silver within the fabric. They have a problem keeping the silver in after many washings. Search silver in clothing antibacterial

I hope this has cleared up any questions about cures, the use of and effects of colloidal silver, Nanosilver and other products.

Wow...after listening to Mr

Wow...after listening to Mr Cohen's take on the implications of Merkel meeting with Porochenko, one could easily surmise the CIA and by association, US State Dept. foreign policy, are not pleased at the prospect of losing influence and control over their puppet government in Kiev and strengthening Putin's position, not to mention the precarious thought that Germany may eventually opt to throw in with the Eurasian trade zone (as J. Willie prognosticates). No doubt in my mind, this was the reason for obama mysteriously interrupting his vacation.

Aug 20, 2014 - 1:10pm

I would like to believe that peace is possible...

...but the drums inside the Beltway are loud.

@kardnul - agreed on all points. In the vacuum that is the US foreign policy today, it appears that Merkel sees an opportunity to avoid yet another German-Russian bloodletting and perhaps, to increase her own influence in the region.

I'm still curious about the British 'news' reporters who sent their breathless tweets out last week about Germany Invading, Russia Invading Ukraine. What, no pictures? You have Twitter accounts but not Instagram? You forgot your camera back in the hotel room? Something smells here.

Humanitarian convoy heading in

As I have said...and echoed in this podcast by Professor Cohen...this is a false flag just waiting to happen. One militia RPG is all it will take:

Aug 20, 2014 - 2:34pm

From Sovereign Man . . .

"Who could possibly still believe that the police are there to protect and serve the people?

No matter the justifications they came up with, it’s was suddenly clear that the Wall was built to keep people in, not to keep others out.

Just the same, the police today are not there to keep you safe from criminals, but to keep the biggest criminals—the politicians—safe from you.

Though on the surface the current protests in Ferguson are about race, they reveal a much deeper truth about the situation. As they protest, the people are following their instincts, and their instincts are telling them not to trust the state.

We’re seeing people’s trust in the state beginning to crumble, not just with police, but with one government agency after another. More and more people are waking up to the fact that none of these institutions are really there to protect them.

The NSA says it’s there to keep you safe from terrorists, but in reality they’re spying on you to protect their power over the populace.

The Fed says it’s there to make the economy more stable, but they intentionally fuel economic volatility in ways that benefit their friends.

The FDA says it’s there to protect people from unsafe foods, but their regulations and endorsements of certain ingredients actually make your food more dangerous.

There’s an invisible wall going up around us, everywhere in Western civilization. People are starting to realize it and that’s why there’s so much anger. But rather than getting angry or emotional, it’s time to get ready."

What's Wrong With These 3

What's Wrong With These 3 "Boots On The Ground" Headlines

On June 13th, CNN reports President Obama stated:

No troops to Iraq, but other options are being considered.

That was President Barack Obama's message Friday in response to the lightning advance by Sunni militant fighters in Iraq that could threaten the government of Shiite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.

In a statement delivered from the White House South Lawn, Obama said the United States "will not be sending U.S. troops back into combat in Iraq," but that he would be reviewing a range of other options in coming days.

As AP reported on July 25th

The House overwhelmingly passed a resolution Friday that would bar President Barack Obama from sending forces to Iraq in a "sustained combat role" without congressional approval, a bill with greater symbolic than legal effect.

And today, as AP reports

WASHINGTON (AP) — US officials: Military weighs plan to send a small number of additional troops to Iraq.

* * *

So BOOTS WILL BE ON THE GROUND - just as President Obama had told the American people they would not be...

Of course we assume these are humanitarian assassination advising troops...

* * *

In addition to the fact that President Obama has basically declared war on ISIS... this just happened...

So - all war, all the time...

U.K. ambassador ‘lobbied’

U.K. ambassador ‘lobbied’ U.S. senators to obscure Britain’s complicity in CIA rendition program

Records published under Britain’s Freedom of Information (FOI) Act have compounded concerns that the U.K. government lobbied U.S. officials to keep Britain’s role in CIA torture and rendition out of a soon-to-be published Senate report.

Newly-released data reveals Britain’s ambassador to the U.S., Peter Westmacott, engaged in at least 21 separate meetings with members of the US Senate’s Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) prior to its publication of this report, heightening existing allegations that the British government may be seeking to sanitize the document.

Westmacott met with key Democrats and Republicans on the SSCI throughout the body’s investigation of the CIA program, records obtained by the UK legal charity Reprieve reveal.

Of particular note are two separate meetings with Senator Feinstein in the immediate aftermath of the U.S. government’s decision to publish what is expected to be a damning report on CIA torture, interrogation and rendition.

Council On Foreign Relations:

Council On Foreign Relations: The Ukraine Crisis Is the West’s – Not Putin’s – Fault / August 20, 2014

Mainstream, Hawkish Group Blames the West for the Mess In Ukraine

We’ve previously reported that it’s the West’s encirclement of Russia – breaking a key promise which led to the break-up of the Soviet Union – which is behind the Ukraine crisis.

We’ve also noted:

The U.S. State Department spent more than $5 billion dollars in pushing Ukraine towards the West. The U.S. ambassador to Ukraine (Geoffrey Pyatt) and assistant Secretary of State (Victoria Nuland) were also recorded plotting the downfall of the former Ukraine government in a leaked recorder conversation. Top-level U.S. officials literally handed out cookies to the protesters who overthrew the Ukrainian government.

And the U.S. has been doing everything it can to trumpet pro-Ukrainian and anti-Russian propaganda. So – without doubt – the U.S. government is heavily involved with fighting a propaganda war regarding Ukraine.

The news is starting to go mainstream …

Specifically, the Council On Foreign Relations (CFR) is a very mainstream, hawkish group.

CFR’s flagship publication – Foreign Affairs – has just published a piece blaming the Ukraine crisis on the West.

The piece by John Mearsheimer – in it’s September/October 2014 issue – accurately notes:
