Another 3-day Weekend? Must Be Time For Some Jackass!

276

In what has become a tradition here in Turdville, our pal Jim Willie stopped by this morning for a wide-ranging, hour long discussion. <Note: This is a free, public thread!>

This baby checks in at just over an hour so you might want to break it up into parts. Download this to your computer/ipad and, if you need some time away from the pool or the beach, put in your earbuds and go to town! Amongst the topics discussed are these:

  • The latest developments in the budding "Eur-Asian Alliance"
  • The progress the BRIC nations are making in setting up the 21st Century financial system
  • Falling U.S. interest rates and the treasury market
  • DoucheBank and the other walking, TBTF zombies

Jim has promised to join us again for our next 3-day weekend in July. Until then, this hour-long discussion should satisfy even the most starved info-junkie.

Have a great weekend!

Goodwill, Peace, Giving to the Poor, a Truely Wonderful Thing.

So getting ready to re-enter the job market, I collected some old dress shirts and suits, bagged them up, for a trip to the goodwill drop, and why I was at it, I grabbed a 25 year old tube TV, as flat panel TVs have replaced them, and in the car and off I went. Charity is such a noble thing, it lifts the heart, and make you feel fuzzy all over. I was happy, a smile from ear to ear, doing God's work.

So, in the back of a local church, perpetually sit a truck box car, towed by a truck as part of an 18 wheeler, and when the container gets full, I guess, they bring in the truck to move the truck car container to a good will depository for distribution. I am such a kind and considerate person, also behaving so nicely to everyone, always, especially on church property, less I be damn for all eternity. So, I drive right up to the truck car container. An attendant was there to pass out receipts. It was a beautiful day, the bird chirping in the trees on the church property, feeling so noble in the cause to share the old things with the poor and down troddened, and sure enough, there was a very kind, gracious, and polite attendant there with open arms to my good charitable work. Tranquility and Peace of heart permeating the space abounding the setting. ...... It didnt last long ...

I first drop off the two bags of clothes, with many thanks from the attendant, and of course, the reply back, your sincerely welcome. Then, I take out the TV and drop it off as well. The attendant goes, "I need your driver's license to swipe for our records". I go: "Sorry, you aint swiping my license for nothing". He goes, "you must swipe your license or you cant drop it off". I go "bull shit, Im just here to give". He goes" "you cant drop it off, unless I swipe your license" I go: "Listen you freakin gook, I am merely giving you all my old TV, and you aint swiping my license". He said: "Then you have to take it back" ... I go: "bullshit, I aint takin it back". He goes: "Then I have to call the police" .. I exclaimed: WAT? He goes: "If you dont remove the TV, I will call the police". .... I go: "Phuck you, you god damn gook, how about I just throw it in the dumpster over there" ... He goes: "No you cant throw your trash into our church dumpster". I go: "Listen you phuckin gook, who the hell do you people think you are, I came here to give to the poor". ... He goes: "Im calling the police" .... I go: "Dont bother, asshole, Im out of here" .... and so, I put the TV back in the car, went to another dumpster else where and trashed it. SCREW THE POOR!!!

Giving is such a wonderful thing to do, especially a piece of mind. LOL

The Reason for RuSino $ exchange.

China, culturally, really does not like rocking the boat. Russia, led by Razputin, feeding domestic politics, is another story. Its really a matter of style. China is exchanging US Bonds for Oil, no harm no foul, remaining nice. Raz takes them bonds and dumps them for gold, a big FU to the US in response to sanctions. China gets oil and less US bond forex reserve exposure, while Russia gets gold and retaliation to US sanctions, for increase domestic popularity. Clear as day, imo.

Jackass - You intentionally produced a false forecast?

I think there are two things that I completely disagree with in the Jim Willie conversation:

1. Don't ever intentionally produce a false forecast just because your track record is "too good". This just makes you look silly. It smacks of your ego offering some lame excuse for a miss on a prediction rather than just admitting you were wrong. It also does not inspire confidence in your subscribers. I live in the world of forecasting and I see this type of behavior on occasion. The minute someone makes a claim like this their credibility moves down a notch or two. If your success rate on making predictions in this space is 80% or better you are still doing an admirable job. It's ok to be wrong on occasion.

2. Jim mentioned people get confused about time frames in forecasts. This is because many of the intellectual authorities in this space intentionally refuse to discuss timelines. Therefore their newsletter/blog readers will search the tea leaves to try and assign their own timeline, and more often than not it's wrong. Then you have people who position themselves incorrectly. Again, it's a hit to one's credibility. Even saying something like, "This is dependent on political action. It could take 12 months, it could take 3 years. But it will happen" is a good deal better than simply making a statement that war is coming and then your subscribers position themselves for an event they think will happen in 6 months time. This is not directed at Jim, it's just more of the way things seem to go.

Anyway, I did find the interview highly entertaining. Good stuff and well worth the time to listen. Makes the dollars I spend here on TFMR very worth it. Regardless of my statements above, I do find Jim's analysis spot on in most points covered. I'm now taking a closer look at his newsletter service. Point #1 above is sort of a deal breaker for me, though.

Anyone Else

finally getting the picture, that there is no such thing as the petro-dollar, but there is the US mega bond stack, that could be called the petro-bond stack, but only to the extent that oil sellers sink revenue into US bonds from oil sales? We all have heard the expression, the petro-dollar, over the many years, accepted as gospel, yet I have never had it explained with any kind of significant reasoning. Its funny though in away, that some talk about the Bullion Bank MOPE and Gov Propaganda, yet a commonly used term "the petro-dollar" is never really explained, yet accepted my most as an absolute Turdism, effectively as MOPE and Propaganda of the anti-US gold-bug crowd upon the masses, bought HOOK LINE AND SINKER, at least the by turdites.

The Reason for RuSino $ exchange.

That's so encouraging...

Imagine Farage and Rand leaders of the UK and USA at the same time... I'm starting to wonder if it's being planned this way.

A lot of good grassroots stuff going on

As Jim Willie said, there's 10% of Americans that "get it". Now you have Trey Gowdy (R-CA) prosecuting Clinton-Obama on Benghazi and it turns out this man will fearlessly defend the constitution. Yet another powerful voice for returning to the constitution THAT IS BEING HEARD! And a grassroots movement to make him Speaker (& get rid of Boehner). https://www.capitalisminstitute.org/movement-to-make-gowdy-speaker/?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed
