Another 3-day Weekend? Must Be Time For Some Jackass!

In what has become a tradition here in Turdville, our pal Jim Willie stopped by this morning for a wide-ranging, hour long discussion. <Note: This is a free, public thread!>

This baby checks in at just over an hour so you might want to break it up into parts. Download this to your computer/ipad and, if you need some time away from the pool or the beach, put in your earbuds and go to town! Amongst the topics discussed are these:

  • The latest developments in the budding "Eur-Asian Alliance"
  • The progress the BRIC nations are making in setting up the 21st Century financial system
  • Falling U.S. interest rates and the treasury market
  • DoucheBank and the other walking, TBTF zombies

Jim has promised to join us again for our next 3-day weekend in July. Until then, this hour-long discussion should satisfy even the most starved info-junkie.

Have a great weekend!

Yeah yeah

Hey Idiot - it is venting, and I DID NOT waste my time listening to him. What blows my mind is that there are still people out there who do despite the fact that he, El JACKASS, has shown himself in his writings and interviews to be a demented, erroneous, banal, repetitive, grating, mentally ill, bulbous-headed, egotistical JERK. And yet, despite the clear evidence, people still put him on some pedestal (short or tall).

This isn't up for discussion, just plain observation and accusation.

And I AM NOT shorting PMs. I don't trade paper. I am just laughing in the face of ANY one who will try to prophecy over rigged markets with rulers, math, or intuition. And finally, I am agonizing and weeping over the state of the world and the lack of honest men. I want to see a civil war and I damn my own cowardice for not firing the first shot.

May the Turd be with you

OK. Despite my intention not to trade I thought I can take a little risk by

going long at this bottom we are seeing again. It also means the wedge is extended a bit more.

The Force Is My Ally

And sorry for the misplaced link. I really thought he said Turd ;-(

May 27, 2014 - 8:53am

Do you feel better now?

Most people learn while growing up that being a jerk to other people can make them feel better about themselves, but that doing so comes at a price. Usually the price is a lack of friends, social ostracism, and a reputation as an a-hole.

While it is entirely possible that you are just venting, the method you chose to use is exceedingly juvenile.

Don't like Jim Willie? Don't listen. Don't believe PM are going up? Take the short side. Be honest though - were you short this weekend, and if so are you so jaded that you don't think the potential is there for a sharp upward move based on any of the very warm geopolitical situations that could go very hot at any moment?

There is plenty of room for discussion, just not the way you seem to engage.

May 27, 2014 - 8:42am

Sorry, I was wrong.

AU is now near 1275 and looks like AG will lose its 19 handle today.

The boot is on our necks. What to do? What to do?

Oh yeah - post more on web sites! That solves everything!

May 27, 2014 - 8:35am

Did anyone not expect this takedown?

3 day weekend leading into expiry?

perhaps suspect this rather than expect.

Ordinary Men and Women

This is unbelievable, but ordinary Men and Women are too small minded to govern their own affairs:

Edit: Sorry for the post, the 19 seconds of this speech were obviously ripped out of context.

I fell for anti propagande :-( The real context is

But those ideals have also been tested -- here in Europe and around the world. Those ideals have often been threatened by an older, more traditional view of power. This alternative vision argues that ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs, that order and progress can only come when individuals surrender their rights to an all-powerful sovereign. Often, this alternative vision roots itself in the notion that by virtue of race or faith or ethnicity, some are inherently superior to others, and that individual identity must be defined by “us” versus “them,” or that national greatness must flow not by what a people stand for, but by what they are against.

Turd, please feel free to delete the link and post

May 27, 2014 - 8:11am

Hello Turdites

Just thought today was a good day to come by, post a grenade and run -

Jim Willie again? You sycophants just won't accept what an incredible and WRONG jerk this guy is - well have fun with that. HAARP caused Sandy and Chernobyl was a CIA plot? Yeah. Somebody give that Jackass some Midol.

AU is near 1280 after so many Friday night jockeys saying "don't be short this weekend" - More jerks.

And now Scottsdale is flogging a TFMR silver round? Guess they have to do something to sell all the silver that's gathering dust in their vaults that NOBODY wants.

There's a war in the Ukraine and Austria wants an audit - GOLD MUST GO DOWN!

You are not in charge. I am not in charge. The psychopaths are in charge and nothing will free these markets or change attitudes short of a well-placed nuke or an angry caldera.

Wake me when AU is 2500. See you in another 6 months.

Breaking news - no shit - new terror alerts

terror alerts around the world

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats, and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940, when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance". The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards". They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide". The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender". The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing". Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides".

The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs". They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbor" and "Lose".

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Americans meanwhile, and as usual, are carrying out pre-emptive strikes on all of their allies "just in case".

Canada doesn't have any alert levels.

New Zealand has raised its security levels - from "baaa" to "BAAAA". Due to continuing defense cutbacks, New Zealand has only one more level of escalation, which is "I hope Australia will come and rescue us".

Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be alright, mate". Three more escalation levels remain: "Crikey!", "I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend" and "The barbie is cancelled". So far no situation has ever warranted use of the final escalation level.
