Thursday Conversation - Chris Martenson

38

Chris Martenson has been a friend for over a decade. Over the years, he has helped us with everything from financial guidance to warnings about Covid. He's back today to give us the latest on the fading pandemic and the things that concern him most as 2023 begins to blend into 2024.

First of all, if you're unfamiliar with Chris, his work and his website, you should be sure it check it out. You'll find that the community there is a lot like TFMR...the primary difference is that the host is a lot smarter!

And if you've never checked out his "Crash Course", you should be sure to do so. First, here's just one video that you can still find on YouTube. This is from 2009 but, obviously, still relevant today!

However, you might be better served by acquiring a copy of his book, "Crash Course". It was updated and revised just last year and you can find it on Amazon and at other retailers.

For today, I mainly asked Chris to focus our discussion on two areas:

  1. Where are we with Covid? Is it over? If so, how did it end?
  2. What happens next in the global economy and how might the current geopolitical situation be linked to the current economic situation? Chris maintains a focus on energy security and 2023 sure is beginning to resemble 1973.

As you might imagine, there's a lot more in between, too, so please be sure to give this podcast a thorough listen. I've always referred to Chris as "the smartest guy I know"...even smarter than Kranzler!...and you're going to learn a lot over these 40 minutes.

Many thanks to Chris for his time and friendship. I promise to have him back soon for an update.
