For the next installment of our "special podcast" series, I thought I'd investigate a company that always I've heard of, but never owned. Eric Sprott owns some shares. You may own some shares. And now that I've learned the whole story of Dolly Varden, I'm going to own some, too.
We begin, of course, with the most important question...What's the deal with the name "Dolly Varden"? Is the company named for a trout? It's not and Shawn will explain.
But then we get into the more important stuff like:
- Shawn's interest in the precious metals, particularly silver, and what makes him "one of us".
- What drew Shawn to Dolly Varden?
- Where are the company's primary operations?
- The company's financials and major stakeholders.
- Shawn's goals and plans for the year ahead.
- And much more in between.
As always, though, do not take my enthusiasm and make it your own. You must conduct all of your own personal due diligence before considering any investment and this must include an assessment of your own risk tolerance and time horizons.
You can begin that process by researching the company under its ticker symbols of "DV" in Canada and "DOLLF" in the U.S. Next, you should be certain to visit the company website. Once there you might check out some of the links below:
Many thanks to Shawn for taking the time to bring me up-to-speed on his company. I'm glad to have made his acquaintance and I look forward to following his company in the months ahead.
