You may recall that we first learned of this unique company back in February. At the time, I found it interesting enough to grab a few shares for my Miner IRA. However, after what I've learned over the past week or so, I definitely plan to add some more.
Let's start with some background. The first link below takes you to the original podcast from February 24 where I introduced you to Scott Melbye and his intriguing new company. The second link is to a recent Sprott Money podcast with Rick Rule. Why post here? Because Rick spent the first half of the show discussing the fundamental rationale for a new bull market in uranium and uranium shares.
So back to Uranium Royalty Corp. As the name indicates, the company is the first of its kind in the industry...a royalty company for uranium. This means that they don't go out and actively search for uranium. Instead, they invest in royalties on the future production of uranium mining companies.
And, after a long, 10-year sojourn in the wilderness (sort of like the PMs in the period 2013-2018), interest in uranium finally picking up again as the world searches for non-carbon based energy. The last bull market in uranium saw prices surge 10X. Could we be on the verge of a new bull market?
In this call, Scott lays out all of the bullish fundamentals and he also explains the strategic positioning of his company. But of course, do not just take my word for it. You must perform all of your own due diligence before even considering any sort of investment in anything. For Uranium Royalty Corp, you can start your homework by searching the ticker symbol "UROY" in the US and "URC" in Canada. From there, you might stop by the URC website and click these links:
Many thanks to Scott for sharing his time with this update. I look forward to following his progress of his company in the months ahead.
