The first piece of the puzzle is now in place as US inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index, came in today at an annualized rate of 2.6%. The Comex precious metals rallied because the bond market somehow rallied, too. So now, IF the bond market can remain firm, we can expect higher prices to come and, FINALLY, an end to this painfully long consolidation phase.
