Some Jackass For Your Easter Basket

235

It's a holiday weekend so you know what that means....

It has been since late 2020 that we've checked in with our old pal, The Golden Jackass himself, Jim Willie. Never one to mince words or shy away from telling you what he really thinks, it's always a treat to hear from Jim and he doesn't disappoint today.

Over the course of this abbreviated call, I asked Jim to primarily focus on two subjects:

  • the state of the US bond market
  • the eventual "Big Reset"

And if you think that this is all Jim talked about for 45 minutes...well, you clearly haven't listened to one of these holiday podcasts before!

So sit back and enjoy the ride. The Jackass provides his own unique brand of analysis and it's not for everyone, I suppose. However, if you think it's for you, please do not hesitate to visit the Golden Jackass website to learn more about his services.

Thanks again to Jim for his time today. I can't help but wonder what we'll discuss and how the world will look by the time we get together again for the US 4th of July holiday...

A Slice from the Alasdair Macleod Article

Here's a slice. To me, these numbers are very important. China has been preparing itself for world domination and the can do wit without firing a shot.

The evidence of China’s all-out gold policy is plain to see. She invested heavily in gold mining and is now the largest national miner of gold by far. Chinese government refiners were also importing gold and silver doré to process and keep, and they set a new four-nines standard for one kilo bars. Today, China has a tightening grip on the entire global bullion market.

A decision was taken in 2002 by China to allow the public to buy gold, and the benefits of ownership were widely promoted by state media. We can be certain this decision was taken only after the State had accumulated sufficient bullion for its supposed needs.

China’s public has accumulated approximately 15,000 tonnes to date, net of scrap recycling, based on deliveries out of the Shanghai Gold Exchange’s vaults. Given the public is still banned from owning foreign currency, gold ownership should continue to be popular as an alternative store of value to the yuan, and currently between 150-200 tonnes are being delivered from SGE vaults every month.

Other than declared reserves, it is not known how much gold the state owns. But assessing capital flows from 1983 and allowing for the availability of physical bullion through mining supply and the impact of the 1980-2002 bear market, the PBOC could have accumulated as much as 15,000-20,000 tonnes before the public were permitted to buy gold. If so, it would represent approximately 10% of those capital flows at contemporary gold prices.

The truth is unknown, but we can be sure gold has become a strategic asset for China and its people. China must have always had an expectation that in the long-term gold will become money again, presumably as backing for the yuan. Otherwise, why go to such lengths to monopolize the global bullion market?

Old donkey is a lonely bloke

He hardly ever gets to 'Woke'

But when he does he sees the joke

Reveling in the joys of awareness

I say this because, as a recovering serf working hard to stay out of debt penury and maximum serfitude, we who are waking up, numbering in the scores and hundreds on TFMR, are seeing the world for what it is

Jones dubs it the Prison Planet. We've been in jail for millennia. Like Neo, we simply don't realize it until we uncouple from the serf singularity and go rogue.

At that moment we see the Matrix as a vast sea of homogenized horse shit. Nothing we see and hear is real. It's just a AI simulation that's been running in the background for 7,500 years.

Humanity went to sleep around that time, drawn into unconsciousness by some traumatic event that forced us into a sleepwalking fugue state.

Brief periods of awakening were crushed by those whose interests are best served by a population of somnolent humanity with just enough brain power to serve as rented, indentured serf mules, toadies, sycophants and sex slaves.

'They' have been turning up the volume, now at 12, for centuries.

One thing that helps with that awakening process is having a .999 silver coin in one hand, a .999 gold coin in the other, facing the world with an eye to calling Bullshit to everything that comes our way

'I have my stack and everything else is bullshit.'

If we are to get to and remain centered and grounded we must have our talismans.
So wisely opined Canadian Dirt Lump on Silver Doctors many years ago. I'm good with that saying.

As for the Blue Norwegian, lulled by the inane pathologies of this world, he's Pining for the Fjords.

Don't be the Blue Parrot.

PMIs

If you see some volatility in the next few minutes, it's due to the service sector PMIs for March.

Markit Services: The rate of inflation accelerated to the fastest since data collection for the services survey began in October 2009.

Anecdotal evidence widely linked the uptick in costs to higher prices for key inputs such as PPE, paper, plastics, fuel and transportation.

so let's see....

On what should be a decent Monday with bonds flat and the POSX down 24¢, Comex gold is actually DOWN $4. Gee, I wonder why....

This is a warning

to all money launderers that we will not stand for this criminal activity. If you want to launder money you need to do it the old fashioned way. Pay off the banks like HSBC and DB, and do it properly.

Also, castigating those criminals who buy and store gold privately.

Tom Luongo echoes Alex

Today’s political landscape is looking more and more like the classic Monty Python ‘Dead Parrot’ sketch.

You know the one, John Cleese walks into the shop to complain about the parrot he’d just been sold was dead and he wants his money back. The shopkeeper, Michael Palin, insists it isn’t.

Hilarity ensues.

The Dead Parrot sketch is one of the high points of Python’s particular blend of absurdism and social commentary that transcends its time.

Everywhere I look I see Michael Palins doing their best to convince us of the most absurd lies to hide the rank incompetence at every level of our society’s power structure.

And it doesn’t matter what issue we’re discussing: masks, vaccines, election fraud, racism, Joe Biden’s health, climate change, the sovereign bond markets, lockdowns.

No matter the issue or the question Biden’s Press Secretary, the uniquely incompetent Jenn Psaki, will be happy to ‘circle back to that later’ but never doing so hoping to just get through the next news cycle without a revolt.

Everyone’s doing the ‘believe me’ look that body language experts talk about all the time. It’s all so tiresome and exhausting. And you can feel the level of frustration building like John Cleese’s anger in the sketch.

It even looks to me like the people in the media are getting fed up with having to disseminate the lies. But, since their access to power and livelihoods depend on playing along with the charade even the best ones act out on the stage prepared for them.

We all know they are lying. They know we know they are lying. We know they know that we know they are lying.

And yet the lying continues.

Worse than that, the dying continues.

Because that is the net outcome of all this lying, the wasted time and energy billions of people who eventually are asked to fight wars on behalf of these venal liars desperate to retain power and privilege.

The endless lying comes from the need to sell us on a future we don’t want for a price we can’t afford to pay. That the pols in D.C. think they can bribe us with a couple thousand bucks of stimmy money after they’ve destroyed our quality of life is the clearest sign ever that they are completely out of touch.

But what is clear as well is that they do not care. They don’t have to care because our government has openly morphed into the phone company from the old Lily Tomlin sketch of a few years after the Pythons’ heyday.

This absurd level of lying betrays the elites’ utter contempt for us. They’re obsessed with squashing all traces of the only truly four-letter word in Brussels and D.C. “populism.’

Populism is the bane of tyrants and comedy like the Dead Parrot sketch can no longer be tolerated in the coming brave new world where you’ll own nothing and like it… or else.

I can’t stress enough that this obsession with narrative control is equal parts terrifying and hilarious at the same time.

Terrifying because the real world consequences are destroyed businesses, suicidal children, bombed cities, starved local populations, sanctions, threats, embargoes and migrations.

Hilarious because these people are patently absurd. And we all know that comedy is, unfortunately, tragedy plus time.

Because if we don’t laugh at this just a little bit the only recourse is insanity and violence.

Who takes Dr. Anthony Fauci seriously anymore other than those putting on the mask of corporate shill to interview him?

Stopping it here so as not to offend our more sensitive members.
