Tuesday Conversation - Brent Johnson of Santiago Capital

Following Monday's podcast with Luke Gromen, I thought it would be fun to next visit with our old friend (and fellow Cornhusker), Brent Johnson. For this discussion, Brent and I cover several of the same topics as yesterday while incorporating Brent's unique perspective on the markets.

So for this podcast, Brent and I begin with the same Krugman tweet that Luke and I discussed yesterday:

Repeat after me: debt is money we owe to ourselves. It doesn't make the nation as a whole poorer. https://t.co/yyAkexUV0N

— Paul Krugman (@paulkrugman) May 22, 2020

From there, we discuss:

  • the liquidity-driven necessity of QE∞
  • the impact of an official yuan devaluation
  • global demand for dollars driving its relative value higher
  • whether QE∞ will ultimately be inflationary
  • the possibility of global stagflation
  • and quite a bit in between

Many thanks to Brent for being so generous with his time. I think you'll find this podcast to be extremely interesting and thought-provoking.

HAHAHA Mavens It looks like I ended up with one of each

or two, except the Rem Versa Tactical But don't forget a Mossy 300 20 GA with 3 ought and slugs. Lighter. Short barrel is best They're so cheap you can stage one in every room of your house, and one for each car. Works for me

Actually I was talking to that 75 year old Marine. Co workers of his working in Oakland are reporting ferals using crowbars to break car windows on the streets and freeway, dragging the useful pasty white SJW San Jose crowd out of their vehicles and giving them a thumping. I might go with my SBR and a 60 round mag of 5.56 when traveling nowadays

What's the best shotgun? Anything you can handle, operate and reload if a bad situation arises. Be sure to have a sling and ammo carrier. Shotguns are ammo deficient in a fight. Reload, reload reload

Sorry for posting about a precious metal

Let's hope closing that gap which was formed in silver on Sunday was the worst the cartel could do.

I assume now they will try to insure a close below support.

Mavens

Keep'er cheap, buy more PM's! Mossberg 5xx series, Remmy 870 all good. Benelli $2000?????? not a chance!

I own a Mossberg 930 SPX (autoloader) and Mossberg 500 (pump). Although shotguns are great my first grab is my homebuilt 12.5" 556.

Tactical Shotguns

I have both a Mossburg 500 Police tactical with a pistol grip and My newest and favorite a Remington 870 TAC-14 and I changed out the grip on it...Its short and sweet with a 6 round 12 gauge magazine. you dont have to be super accurate with it and it gets the job done nicely...Gotta have something to protect my stack...

The fact is that Trump said

The fact is that Trump said women let you do that when you're rich and famous. "Predator" is a vague word, but I don't think most people would consider that to qualify as being a sexual predator.
