Tuesday Conversation - Brent Johnson of Santiago Capital

CEO, Portfolio Manager

Following Monday's podcast with Luke Gromen, I thought it would be fun to next visit with our old friend (and fellow Cornhusker), Brent Johnson. For this discussion, Brent and I cover several of the same topics as yesterday while incorporating Brent's unique perspective on the markets.

So for this podcast, Brent and I begin with the same Krugman tweet that Luke and I discussed yesterday:

Repeat after me: debt is money we owe to ourselves. It doesn't make the nation as a whole poorer. https://t.co/yyAkexUV0N

— Paul Krugman (@paulkrugman) May 22, 2020

From there, we discuss:

  • the liquidity-driven necessity of QE∞
  • the impact of an official yuan devaluation
  • global demand for dollars driving its relative value higher
  • whether QE∞ will ultimately be inflationary
  • the possibility of global stagflation
  • and quite a bit in between

Many thanks to Brent for being so generous with his time. I think you'll find this podcast to be extremely interesting and thought-provoking.

300 BLK

This is another very versatile option. It can shoot subsonic 190grain and if you load them with Lehigh defense https://www.lehighdefense.com/all/300-aac-blackout-whisper-194gr-subsoni... expanding bullets it is very deadly with low penetration( it dumps all its energy in the target.). It can also shoot 115 grain bullets effectively out to 25o or 300 yards if you need to go long range with just one gun.

RE: Hit job

The Cartel never seems to run out of ammo.

I don't know what to make of the silver chart now. Obviously the price today was completely due to manipulation but will that matter moving forward?

Looks like Asia has picked up where the COMEX left off and we are back under resistance. More of my call option time value wasted. Grrrrrrr!

@mavens

I second Boggs. The KSG is short for confined areas, quick charging, and holds a ton of rounds. I have one loaded with Lawman 00 buck in one tube and #8 in the other. Selector switch for which tube loads. Add a bright light grip to the front, best close quarters firearm on the market.

Black rifle home defense makes me nervous, because if u miss, the neighbors come into play unless their home is brick exterior.

Fore Grip Light (surefire also makes one, but it's $250)
