Thursday Conversation - Chris Vermeulen of The Technical Traders

These are crazy times and if you're attempting to make some fiat via trading, you need all the help you can get. To that end, it was great to get acquainted today with Chris Vermeulen of The Technical Traders.

If you're not familiar with Chris' work and his service, you can find all that you need to know by visiting his website: https://www.thetechnicaltraders.com

Over the course of this call, I ask Chris to discuss:

  • His methods and strategies for identifying trading opportunities
  • The discipline he applies in finding a trade, sticking with it or taking profits
  • His current "Best Asset Now" and why

But there's a whole lot in between, too, so please take time to give this podcast a thorough listen. You're certain to learn something new.

Many thanks to Chris for sharing his valuable time today.

4hr charts Silver and Gold

Silver 4 HR: Expanded the RSI to highlight. Not sure where to put the bottom rail on the chart. So just left the top on. Orange = 50ma.

Gold 4HR: Disappointed it did not break through 50ma and challenge top rail. Up to retest that 50ma or down to retest bottom rail now? We may have a way to go with this.

So now I am beginning to believe Silver has a more immediate chance of a significant move up. To me it appears to be coiling. That RSI apex on Silver is around May 17-20th ish.

Just current momentary thoughts. Not making any plays right now. Just watching.

We're watching our investment and National Debt hit $25 trillion

The national debt just hit $25 trillion That's up nearly $3 trillion since February 2019

$2 trillion of the $3 trillion was since November 6 2019. 6 months

Ya sittin' down??

$1 trillion was added since April 7 2020. That's one month in my book

It's said we think arithmetically. The increases are now exponential

I'm not sure which will pop first; the Plandemic or the debt.

Chris Vermeulen

Thank you for your time. I understand that experience is key, but could you recommend any sources/books for learning technical analysis (at a beginning level)? Thank you!

Excellent interview

Thank you for doing this interview Craig. I respect Chris's work and really appreciate your interviewing style, you are one of the best out there as you formulate well thought out questions and allow the guest to speak without interruption. A lot of interviewers could learn a lot from you.

Would love to see Chris back on TFMR in the future.

All the best.

Natural Gas...

Natural Gas is a by-product of oil drilling. The drilling has stopped in ND. Fundamentally makes sense of prices rising.

On his shorting the stock market...both my hourly and daily went short today...I use options (many times spreading) for my trading so I can sleep at night.

Good guest Craig...thanks!

Sorry Mike97

Keep in mind, if large caps extend higher, juniors will breakout and enter a new bull also, then its game on! could happen in a blink of an eye really. As GoldHermit stated, TA says WHEN and that time could be soon for a big move in this golden rockets!
