fucking unbelievable. if you told me five months ago that eur/usd would climb to 1.32 by the end of the year, i'd be salivating at the thought of where gold would be.

Gold trend line

Gold at 1646.29 just touched (and bounced) on a trend line that has hold since the third week of July 2010. Just feel it wont hold. Good trading, Robert

Bought DSLV yesterday at

Bought DSLV yesterday at 25.30, sold at 27.60. Good thing I sold AUN at 1.03 earlier, though I wanted to hold on at that time. Emotions can be a bitch.

getting off the tracks

well that AGQ buy (46.81) didn't work. out at 44.35. maybe sub-40 AGQ. RSI looks headed for sub-20, might be good indicator

@Lord Henry

I always say that about silver too, and then lose a minor fortune in AGQ in a skinny minute.

Call me a sucker for the silver stiletto.

2012 -- The Year of the DUST Bowl

As 2012 peters out, I have my nomination for the worst financial headline of the year:

Make Money in Gold the Easy Way – via Gold Miners

https://www.fool.com/investing/general/2012/12/19/make-money-in-gold-the...

Thank you Motley Fool. You've made my morning.

I'm still holding a quarter of a smallish NUGT position very much underwater. I should have stopped out of all of it way earlier. Hey, at least I stopped out the remaining 75% at much higher prices..

My trading has been exclusively outside the gold/silver markets. It's been liberating.

LNG saves the year, once again. What a great trade. Not to mention a great story. Anyway, I've been buying every time it goes 18 and under, including this morning.

I've banked my oil specs.

Pailin's right on post X-mas metals. I have some bids in for AUY right at the 200 MA at 16.42. In my opinion, AUY is the best of breed of the pure gold miners. RGLD being the only other I want to buy. I also have a bid in at the 200 MA at 77.08. SLW looks precarious. 200 is a further ass clearing at 32.36 (which more than likely, will happen).

Another good trade is SWC. Every time it retraces to 11.90, it's a buy (with a sell @12.30 or so).

GDX entered the year at 51. Gonna close it 10% down. But that only puts a happy face on so many 2012 ratfucked individual miners. This was the Year of the DUST Bowl. How many of you caught that trade of the century? The DUST trade could have taken you from 28 to 77. 38 to 60. 22 to 37. Oh well, dare to dream. DUST is the most valuable too in the metals trade that no seems to use here (no one more so than me).

That's probably my last two cents for 2012. Subject to change of course.

Silver at S3 weekly and daily. A no-brainer? I need a no-brainer because not much is left :)

Silver

Silver: a rat faced dog peeing down its leg, watching 29,26,22 as all possible levels for completion of this endless 4th wave down before parabolic move to 60. More and more tired old bulls sacrificed on its altar, viscera being carved from the beast as it squeals and bellows atop the pallet,- Abraham's sacrifice to Ya-weh, terrible cries fill the wet, cold air in these ghastly woods South of the village hovels. The ancients gather to study the entrails; slippery,fecal-packed, sausage links throbbing in the misted air - no bottom yet, more pain for the Pain Page, hopelessness abounds, despair is everywhere. "Praise be the Lord, Host of hosts!" mutter the sick, decrepit old oracles as they weave and fart their blind way down the mountain, back to sputtering campfires and withered hag wives...
