Redwood Oil

Upside in some of these is phenomenal if War does come. Just pull up 5 year charts on VLO or many of them. Then again if peace breaks out they could all crash quickly, who knows?

re: Manning.....

coming from a Colts fan, Mr Irsay (Colts owner) has done a fantastic job cleaning house.......even though he paid Peycheck $28 million last year. I am extremely excited for the Luck era, and a 3-4 defense.

For the conspiracy folks, how the hell did Painter and Collins start so many games for the Colts last year? Orlovsky was much better, and even more effective. Truly visionary, if your helmet is comprised of tin foil.

As a tribute, I love this SNL skit that features Peycheck.

2/5/10 Spend time with your kids so Peyton Manning doesn't (joke)

(can skip to :20 second mark)

Cheers all......have a great weekend!

SIM - much obliged for all of the knowledge you shared

My biggest regret about

My biggest regret about investing in miners was not immediately recognizing that the only miner stocks worth having were streamers and ETFs.

And I got some cash ready for if silver dips below $30 again.

The death of the 30yr bond market may be premature, I heard every 1% rise in yields is another $150b the government has to make payments on every year. I'm sure there will be a response to this at some point and it won't be to cut spending.

silver

I do not believe we have bottomed. I am thinking $30 area but will not buy until it shows me something. See no reason why any fund would want to buy with so many other things popping. Why fight the tape?

atlee, thanks.

I've been reviewing the charts again, and I have to agree it doesn't look healthy. Silver hasn't risen enough today for conviction. Will look oil up.

Iran out of time

forgive my indulgence. Not saying there is a war this weekend. But you are cut off from the international banking system and you are surrounded by the US Navy.

I would say its your move.

As far as analysis goes - thats about as good as it gets. Succinct.

Jesus Christ is the only true hope that any of us really has. Aaaargh .. the monkeys!!! Trading metals is like playing frogger...there's always a big truck coming.

Since

Since I am so deep in it I will say some more.

Lot of this action might be short covering from the reserve release head fake. Maybe and not all of it.

Before or when something does happen, there will be an attempt to curb the rise, reserve release, more Saudi oil, etc. Whatever it is wait for it and use it to buy. It never works and higher prices are here to stay.

Don't chase unless you are using good money management stops. And don't leave them so wide they seriously dent your account.

Can't remember who bought JAG

Can't remember who bought JAG today. Great fucking trade. Who knew it would rally today? I sure as hell didn't. That said, I've sold a few thousand shares into the bounce. Got way too much of it.

Have a great weekend everyone.

My two cents on Iran: Sorry, it's just ain't going to happen. No matter what Debka reports.

Granny

Granny put hedges back on into close.

Will not call a bottom in metals. Have targets but anything can happen.

SweatHogs could begin rotation soon, who knows? Oil too high for me to chase so sold some UCO into the highs, thanks Atlee, former General and leader of many, now just a lone-wolf miscreant and deserter running wild in the woods and leading only a criminal band of joy-riders who are hunted by both sides and loved by none.

GDX on daily chart measures down to 46. GDXJ would follow down. Silver chart looks like Groom of the Stool but then this perception changes on a dime, who knows? 31.23 first target and it is the weekend and JPM never sleeps, the Borg requires no sleep, sleep is foreign to the Borg.

Have a good and peaceful weekend all, I have no idea what next week brings but I will do my best to respond. OE is done so volatility will pick up again soon.

dont misunderstand

With all the talk, why would you sell uco?

You think the hawkish talk is going to make prices go down?

Today's move in Brent and WTI said sell to you?

Yikes!

You ain't seen nothing yet.

Had a good trading week.

Last night worked great. I did a pretty good job of short covering at the bottom, but I was too tired to risk trying to buy back the bottom. (The London fix zombie patrol needed sleep.) Ended up buying back in the early afternoon, which worked out well enough.

I'm staying a bit long over the weekend, but I'll be in my pilot's seat Sunday afternoon.

For the week, I had to bend the time-of-day trading rules a bit, but it worked out great. I'm getting better at doing that.

March has been a great month for the gold time-of-day trade (so far). Actually, that could be said for the entire year-to-date.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
