Will Silver break #37 today?

With the slow but steady climb silver has been making, it appears we may break $37 today.

Any thoughts? Will it hold and keep going or get smacked down?

1 step at a time...

Silver broke thru the resistance on the 3hr @ the 150ema, found it again on the 4hr. Unless the Bernak surprises us today I don't think we're breaking 37. Glass half full perspective: the resistance silver broke thru looks to be support now, so at least there's that...

I'm no expert but I think

I'm no expert but I think not.

Too much to ask.

We might get close, maybe 36.90's as a tease but to go over $1 from the low of 35.90 ish will take some doing.

If it is to hit 37, I'd expect to see a mini raid then a push up.

Just my opinion, please read the disclaimer below.

I'd be surprised if it got

I'd be surprised if it got above 36,83...

Based upon the % increase, silver has gained more than gold.

Yes, but it can also decrease more than gold does too. % wise.

True. In fact, it general does. But, if you are eyeing today's up tick, silver is out performing gold. Though I don't track it, on an up tick day, silver is usually about 3 to 5 times the increase of gold, percentage wise. On a down tick day, it is generally about the same amount of decrease, about 3 to 5 time the amount of gold, percentage wise.

There is no doubt silver is more volatile than gold.

fwiw

My guess would be no 37 today. I expect a raid immediately after the Bernankes lips stop moving. We could see 37 later in the week though, the climb has been slow but steady for a few days now so I am optimistic we might touch 38 before July contract first notice day.

One other thing

Compare the closing price of gold and silver on 12/31/2010 and today. Which has increased the most, percentage wise?
