Rang the register for that last tranche when Ag fell back to $16.62. Still short, just not a fan of staying all in for long.
Had my face ripped off the last few trading days trying to play the crush...never came. My account is basically back to where I entered a few months ago. Went long JNUG this morning after silver crushed 17, in at 15.85....am absolutely convinced I've entered at the high...but this is the silver leading signal we've all been awaiting so eff it, high entry is what it is... Pist that I gave up all those extra shares in JNUG...
Out of JNUG 15.85 at 16.27
will reenter long
Was away but the high price convinced me to rent some internet. Got short on the 19th and out this morning.
at this point still have the shorts I bought at Ag=$16.66 and $16.53 but no worries. More down than up is still my sentiment.
will continue to short rallies for the next while.
Sold the short from Ag $16.66 when $16.44 showed signs of holding. I expect a bounce or spike up, likely tomorrow. Kept one tranche short in case it doesn’t work out that way.
Oh what the heck. Picked up a long tranche for what I hope is a quick flip at Ag = $16.45. The market needs the bulls to stay interested and I’ll ride along.
Tried to set my exit for the long at Ag $16.54 as a quick scalp of a few bucks but Canada’s exchanges are down as of 2pm. No more trading on the whole exchange. That’s going to make more than a few people mad.
Guess I’m holding the long over the weekend instead. Sigh.
Gah! #+*! Toronto stock exchange. The shut down on Friday looks to have cost me as silver is 30 cents lower today. I have the short which prevents a loss but this should have been payday instead. Grrrr
Exited the short at Ag = $16.19. Ended up adding to the long side as this would have been my entry anyway.
Flipped that long tranche for a quick win Ag $16.40. Considering buying back the short. What a start to the day.
I was a little early on the DUST/JDST entry mid April. After a review of trading activities all I have done is created fees for TDA and some taxes for Uncle. In real terms I'm even. Had a little JNUG action since, but am flat and have been for days. Don't like the temp of the water in either direction.
Sometimes the best trade is no trade...
Will take the time to figure out TDA's software, it offers so much and I'm only taking advantage of a tiny bit of it.
GLTA, and watch your 6 Happynow
Great instinct trading happy. I think the bearish is more likely, but I'm not confident enough to drop money on it. If it bounces up a bit tomorrow... maybe I will play
Tony, waiting the the sidelines seems to be the smartest move as I think the moment of truth is days away...
Thanks WT. yes totally instinct trades. I’ve been staring at these blooming charts for 7 going on 8 or maybe 9 years now and I no longer draw lines or calculate R1. Got to say it rocks to nail the turns like I did this am.
Everything I need comes from www.goldprice.org. I use the 3 day chart which overlays the days on each other and the chart that you can change scale and pip time on, and just expand/contract the scale as well as zoom in to just the most recent 6-8 hours of trading.
Tony, I think we are going to see a variation of ‘sell in May and go away’ this spring although it may or may not happen in May. Mebbe Weasel Tracker will start calling for $15 silver ^.^
Didn’t have the time to post yesterday. Bought long tranches on the dip, was all in at the bottom and sold this am at Ag= $16.38 which allowed me to exit the long tranche I got stuck with during the market exchange crash last Friday. Net decent profit on it all. Entered a short tranche at Ag $16.36 as the morning runup looked to be dying off.
More short at $16.48 and will flip that tranche if i get the right price, about Ag=$16.34 in the next 10 minutes. Otherwise hold it all overnight.
Further short at Ag= $16.50. So, all in. Yes it’s a weekend but I see more down than up by a wide margin and can wait if necessary to see it.
Good weekend to all!
Expect some price action today.
Aaaaand there we go. Scalped quick profit from one short tranche at Ag= $16.34 so as not to be all in.
