This Is What Gold Does In A Currency War, Australian Edition

by John Rubino on February 3, 2015 · 3 comments

Australia just fired a serious shot in the currency war by cutting its overnight lending rate to a record-low 2.25%.

With the aussie as a result tanking, local holders of bank accounts and cash are quite a bit poorer than they were at this time last year. But owners of gold are doing just fine. While the metal is falling again here in the US (which is at the moment trying to withdraw from the currency war), it’s up about 20% in the past three months in countries like Australia that are on the offensive.

https://dollarcollapse.com/currency-war-2/this-is-what-gold-does-in-a-currency-war-australian-edition/

I think it's also what the US dollar does in a currency war. Actually thinking of it again I think the US dollar would be an even better return. Would an aussie be "up" more if he bought a US paper dollar or a bit of gold?

Rubino might have said "owners of gold, or better yet the US greenback"

English MPs would get tax

English MPs would get tax veto under Conservative plans

MPs for Scottish seats would be stripped of the power to "impose" income tax rate changes on England under Conservative plans. MPs for English seats would have a veto on tax, and issues like schools and health, which only affect England. The plan falls short of the English Parliament demanded by some Tory MPs. But Commons leader William Hague said it was a "fair solution". Labour is calling for a cross-party investigation into the matter. Scotland is on course to be given the power to set its own income tax rates and bands - and Air Passenger Duty rates - under proposals drawn up by the The Smith Commission in the wake of September's independence referendum.

U.S. Greenbacks are actually United States Notes, NOT FRNs.

"...I think"

Keep deluding yourself that you actually know how to.

FYI: Those who KNOW don't even have to "think" about it.

A World’s First! Gold Bars Taded Without Spread

https://www.bullionstar.com/blog/bullionstar/gold-bars-traded-without-sp...

SINGAPORE: Singapore bullion dealer BullionStar Pte Ltd is launching the world’s first physical gold
bar traded without any spread between the buy and sell price. BullionStar is offering its customers’
to buy and sell 100 gram gold bars at the exact same price.

The obverse of the 100 gram gold bar.
The obverse features BullionStar’s brand in combination with the refinery’s stamp guaranteeing the gold content and the minimum purity of 99.99 %. The secure tamper-proof blister package protects and guarantees the authenticity of the gold bar.

The reverse of the 100 gram gold bar.
The reverse features the text “Money since 4000 B.C.” together with the stamp of the refinery. The reverse of the secure blister package constitutes the gold bar’s certificate stating the technical details of the gold bar.

Mr Torgny Persson, CEO of BullionStar Pte Ltd says: “By introducing physical Gold Bars traded
without spread, customers can effectively expose themselves to the fluctuations of the gold price
without having to sacrifice the safety of physical delivery.”

The BullionStar branded gold bars are produced by the worldwide renowned Swiss mint Argor-
Heraeus. Being a quality minted Swiss gold bar containing a minimum of 99.99 % gold, packaged in a
tamper-proof Certicard blister package, this product is an extraordinary one.

The reverse of the gold bar features text “Money since 4000 B.C.” symbolizing the historical use of
gold as money.

BullionStar Pte Ltd is a Singapore registered bullion dealer offering GST exempted precious metals for
savings and investment. The Singaporean government exempted precious metals in 2012 with the
objective of making Singapore a trading, transit and storage hub of precious metals.

Hedge fund manager Crispen

Hedge fund manager Crispen Odey who got 2007-9 right predicts that equities will be ‘devastated’ this year

Apocalyptic hedge fund manager Crispin Odey is warning that equity markets are about to get ‘devastated in his latest letter to investors. He’s no lunatic fringe commentator.

Mr. Odey has $12 billion under management and correctly forecast the 2007-9 crash as well as the central bank fuelled boom that has driven stock prices ever upwards since then.

Most "tax payers" have never even seen "$15,000" in their entire lifetime

And yet the Banksters still have them duped into filling out forms and paying a tribute to them every damn year!

Can you now grasp why America's founding fathers made sure that the "$" was specifically defined in the LAW?

Can you correctly guess how many FRNs it now takes to actually acquire "0,000" and why it sucks to be stupid?

Cheers, S. Rex
