Bag Of Gold's Art In Motion Gallery & Emporium...
Seems like a logical place for this. Preface: I have a 28 year-old son who is severely developmentally delayed. He lives at home with my wife and I. He brings us great joy, watching and listening to some of the things he does. One nice fall day, a month or so ago, I was watching him thru the patio door as he wandered our backyard, going places and doing some things I've never seen him do. It caused me to think about some things I've never thought about before, so I jotted some notes. A couple of days ago, I took the time to formalize those thoughts. FWIW
What is he thinking as he walks among the trees?
Is this Eden or a prison?
Now, sitting quietly on the wall by the birch, he's never done that before.
Is he grateful for the birds, the bees, the shade, the trees?
What is he thinking?
What is he thinking as he swings on the patio for hours?
Is he happy, content? Is he pleased?
Does he wonder about the world beyond the fence?
Does he feel safe where he is?
The birds come and go from the feeder.
The bees just do as they please.
He takes it all in. What is he thinking?
I hope he is happy.
I hope he feels loved.
I hope he enjoys his comfy backyard.
Fall is his season. Spring is next best.
The cool, fresh air gets him out of his nest.
Too soon Fall is over. Too long until Spring.
Does he know? What is he thinking?
Enjoy the day, son, sitting on the wall.
Enjoy the sights, smell and sounds of the Fall.
Take it all in. Enjoy it all.
If only I knew what you are thinking.
He sees through the eyes of a child which can be blessing....
Life is good. He (or she is about who has the most laughs wins) Bog wins!
That herbal tea looks more like L.S.D. (have a nice day)
I will defer to your expertise on the matter.
Perhaps this next one is more calming
Cheers, S. Rex
We still have a strong country, because we are IT if we want it.
Ate too much today, did a 2 mile walk with the dog afterwards and enjoyed the evening checking on the 'missing' quail.
Catching up reading through Turdville, I think this Thanksgiving marks something special in terms of American culture being regained. Other sites I frequent leave me with the same thoughts.
Thank you all and God Bless You,
