As I live and breathe, you finally made it. Nothing like bursting on the scene with a great post. I watched that movie you posted and thought it was great.
I also loved his question, "Is Modern Medicine really just about treating the effects of modern wheat?" And I would say that that is a very valid question.
I know you know from our emails that we have talked about how bad wheat is, but this is the best video I have seen yet that really explains why it is so bad, and all grains.
I also don't think that this root problem of the main staple of our diet wiping out our guts and causing auto immune reactions is exclusive to wheat. Wheat was just the first one. IMHO, GMO Corn and Soy are equally if not more deadly.
The big question is, do you want to be truly healthy, or do you want to stay alive taking pills as a slave to the system. For instance, someone with IBS, which was mentioned in the vid, can keep living the American Food Nightmare, and take pills that keep him barely alive, or he can forget about the IBS, and address his immune system and what he is eating, so he can be healthy again.
This is why I have been shouting ad nauseam that it is all about the gut and the immune system and the gut flora. I would take it a step further and add that I think antibiotics are also to blame, and I either place a bigger emphasis on probiotics than you, but that is hard to judge from your first comment, as you did mention them.
Anyway, thanks for stopping in, it is great to have you here!
October 7, 2014, 8:11 AM|Labeling food that contains genetically modified organisms is not required in the U.S. despite worries about the potential health risks. Urvashi Rangan, consumer safety and sustainability director at Consumer Report, joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss the results of the study.
More than 70 percent of Americans say they don’t want genetically modified organisms in their food, according to a recent Consumer Reports National Research Center survey of 1,000 adults. The trouble is, it’s hard to avoid them. Consumer Reports’ tests of breakfast cereals, chips, soy infant formulas, and other popular products found that GMOs lurk in many packaged foods—including some that carry labels suggesting that they don’t have these controversial ingredients.
In more than 60 countries, manufacturers must label foods that contain genetically modified ingredients. But GMO labeling isn’t required in the U.S. Yet our survey found that 92 percent of Americans want genetically modified foods to be labeled. And concerns about the potential health and environmental risks of GMOs coupled with an unwillingness on the part of the federal government to mandate labeling are leading many states to take action on their own.
Vermont recently passed legislation requiring GMO labeling, and similar actions are being considered in more than two dozen other states, including Colorado and Oregon, where residents will begin voting on a GMO-labeling ballot initiative in late October. “Federal law already requires labeling that lets consumers know whether foods have been previously frozen, made from concentrate, pasteurized, or irradiated, and we believe the label should also say if food is genetically engineered,” says Jean Halloran, director of Food Policy Initiatives at Consumers Union, the policy arm of Consumer Reports.
What are GMOs, anyway?
Genetically modified organisms are created by deliberately changing the genetic makeup of a plant or animal in ways that could never occur in nature. The majority of GMO crops currently on the market have been genetically engineered to produce their own pesticides and/or withstand herbicides that normally would kill them. Farmers use the herbicides to control weeds.
Dr. Suzanne Humphries, a highly educated medical doctor with specialities in internal medicine and nephrology talks about vaccines, diseases and health in an interview with Canal 2nd Opinion recorded in Ängelholm, Sweden in september 2014.
Dr. Humphries worked as a kidney specialist, when she saw a connection between vaccinations and kidney damage.
She started questioning whether vaccines are safe. After doing a lot of research, she wrote a book together with Roman Bystrianyk called Dissolving Illusions, Disease, Vaccines and the Forgotten History. A book that thoroghly investigates what really reduced the death rate from different diseases that we currently vaccinate against.
Are vaccines safe? Dr Humphries gives her answer to that question by letting you decide yourself. She gives you the side of the story that is often suppressed, but necessary if you want to make your own balanced decision, and also what reduced some deadly diseases like cholera and tuberculosis in parts of the world without any vaccines at all.
Dr. Suzanne points out that she would never tell people not to vaccinate. She wants the people to listen to both sides, the for and against, and then make a decision themselves. She says the pro vaccine people are often aggressive and don’t want you to hear the other side and often don’t even understand the down side to vaccination themselves.
This is just amazing. Some of you may remember GL turning us on to David Jubb. I have only just begun to re-study his work, but you have just got to listen to this. All six total less than an hour.
Glad to see you back.
Hattips to the other posters here too. Great info on staying healthy.
busy remodeling my buddies house in the Keys.
Silver66 originally sent the Dr. Davis wheat vid to me..........it got me my only 'Bright Star Award' at curezone.com!
tho i have had a few 'RRR' awards.
do NOT get one............and if you have one it/they are impacting your immune system.........always.
there does not need to be any pain at the tooth site for this to happen[and actually its BETTER if their is pain there]
i never smoked cigarettes and not really all that much pot...........had a root canal done on a molar..........a year or two or three later started having bronchitis..........then more n more often n longer n longer..........finally in 1998 i was sick with bronchitis for 18 weeks out of 52..........on the couch sick.............not leaving the house sick.
they said COPD.........chronic obstructive pulmonary disease...........bronchitis and/or emphysema............i said how could that happen?.
Since western medicine only had antibiotics for me[a bad temporary solution]...........went to a Homoepathic practioner with an EAV testing machine hooked to a computer.........basically they have you hold a metal cylinder with a wet paper towel wrapped around it in one hand........and press on an acupuncture point next to a fingernail with a dull probe[it doesnot hurt] on the other hand............and input different things on the computer.
after 15 seconds and some beeps she reached over and put her finger on the side of my jaw and said "what happened HERE?".............right where i had that root canal............she said THAT is why you are having bronchitis.......i was surprised [i would not be now].
the tooth was the one on my lung acupuncture meridean.
so i went to my regular dentist buddy n he said 'no way'...........went to his regular oral surgeon he said 'no way'.......things got worse i had to do something.
i drove back up to NC where she was out of.........she was tied up with a dentist a Dr. Culp....winston-salem NC........she lugged here EAV into his office he numbed me up [turns out the anti-bleed stuff they have in novacaine is NOT good either- keeps the site from flushing out germs(your mouth being germier than the other end of your system).............cut my gum folded it over n proceded to gtind on my jawbone......pretty soon black stuff started splattering on his face shield..........AND IT SMELLED TERRIBLE!!!!
he kept grinding til he hit red blood pockets n she tested with her EAV probe until it was cleaned out...........after unleashing all that stuff i was sick like before for a week but NEVER AGAIN.
no every root canal does not go like this...... but all of them affect you in some way negatively.
if you get the flu and a root canal site aches that is a tip its pretty bad............BUT it does not have to happen.........they are all bad to a degree.
Antibiotics do NOT eliminate this---there is not enough enough blood flow INSIDE the pockets in your jawbone.........this is necrotic bone tissue!
and usually it does NOT hurt............not enough nerve endings inside your bone?
and it does not even HAVE to be a root canal--extractions can do this....James Stewart running back lions/jaguars had a knee with an infection that would not go away no matter what they did............a homeopathic Dr. found an old tooth[on the knee meridean] extraction site [15 years before] with an infection in the bone..........they cleaned it out.............knee infection responded to antibiotics problem solved.
there's a guy here at TFMetals lives in vancouver, CN i can't remember his handle...........he had a bad leg [about wheelchair bad] n a root canal i talked him into going to a Biologic Dentist...........dentist looked at him.....told all patients in waiting room they had to go home he had an emergency.
immediately cleaned out jawbone pocket........problem over...........tooth on knee meridean[as i remember]
and then there is the mercury in amalgum fillings...........but that is another story.
tooth meridean chart:
our little boxer puppy is no longer little
84 lbs of pure energy, training has been awesome with him. No shots from Vet. Healthy, but we have to take him on our travels cause no kennel will take him with out his shots. good and bad problem
Silver66, It's not what I thought was was right that turned out to be wrong that got me. It's what I thought was wrong that was right that got me ;-)
i would consider getting them once maybe maybe ..........spread out by weeks ..............now that he's older its MUCH better...........try or do not get 'multiple shot packages'............demand one pathogen at a time.
the immunity lasts a lifetime tho it does decay some...........you may be able to have 'titters' checked [immunity level] by someone[a natural vet will know] yearly that will satisfy kennels n the state.
or after the initial shots you can copy them n change the date for the kennels.
u cannot imagine the insurance papers i have printed up.
but thats me..........i love circumventing BS.
84 lbs...........thats big..........try to keep his carb intake to no more than 15-20% thats what it is in the wild.
i get Wellness Core canned food from chewey.com n add a piece/slice of cow heart meat or kidney n alittle GOOD dry food...........n add a coupla ounces of organic brocolli processed[dogs cannot break down raw veggie cells] that i have pre frozen from ice cube trays then defrosted one at a time.
I emailed Mrs.69 the wheat video, and she emailed back she had seen it before in this forum. We have covered so much ground here, it is difficult for me to remember it all.
All grains contain molds and fungus. Can you say Candida? I commented to Boatman that I liked the question in the video of "Is modern medicine just treating the effects of modern wheat?" To take that question a step further, I would ask, "Is modern medicine just treating the symptoms of a massive and not talked about fungal overgrowth?"
I glad it is getting a refresher showing on the site.
I agree, there is so much good info to digest
edit: boatman I will take a picture of the mutt tonight and upload
It doesn't have a catchy name or a trendy following to drop a size, but when it comes to your health, it's one of the most effective diets in the world. Proponents of the diet say it can reduce heart disease risk, keep existing cardiac problems in check, reduce blood triglycerides and blood pressure, soothe arthritic joints and even prevent cancer. There's no need to look anywhere but your kitchen.
While each plan has its own twist, all are based on the general concept that constant or out-of-control inflammation in the body leads to ill health, and that eating to avoid constant inflammation promotes better health and can ward off disease, says Russell Greenfield, MD, a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
"It's very clear that inflammation plays a role much more than we thought with respect to certain maladies," Greenfield stated.
"We always thought anything with an "itis" at the end involved inflammation," he says, such as arthritis or appendicitis. But even the illnesses without an "itis" at the end, such as cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, even Alzheimer's disease, may be triggered in part by inflammation, he says.
It is becoming increasingly clear that chronic inflammation may be at the root cause of many serious illnesses.
When inflammation persists or serves no purpose, it damages the body and causes illness. Stress, lack of exercise, genetic predisposition, and exposure to toxins can all contribute to such chronic inflammation, but dietary choices play a big role as well.
Sayer Ji: Great question, Josh. I appreciate it. Really people don't seem to recognize sufficiently that the primary medical model that dominates today is based on using patented chemicals in order to suppress symptoms that are often associated with chemical poisoning. So it's a very oxymoronic almost Orwellian situation.
What I mean by that is if you look any pharmaceutical that's received FDA drug approval beyond what are called biological, which themselves have problems because a lot of them are based on recombinant DNA manipulation of things like recombinant antibodies or different things that are not really natural. But if you look at most of the drugs on the market from COX-2 inhibitors to antibiotics and chemotherapy, they're actually chemicals.
And the reason why they exist as medicines today is because they've gone through a very elaborate process of receiving FDA drug approval. And what most people don't realize is that there's a huge gauntlet that has to be run in order to get a chemical to be approved as an FDA-approved drug. So what I mean is there's about $800,000,000 on average that goes into phase one, two, three clinical trials to get that drug to be accepted as legal and viable to treat disease. And the problem with that, of course, is that those compounds are not, unfortunately, available to traditional approaches.
A traditional approach is you take food. You take plants. And they're growing in your backyard. They don't require all this investment of capital. So the drug approval process today actually attracts multinational corporations whose vested interest is to make a profit on their products. And therefore they actually have a legal fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders.
And so what that means is that even if they wanted to just do good and point to turmeric in our backyard or maybe cannabis for treating some type of neurological issue, they're not able to do that because they have to make a profit. And that is not consistent with a fundamentally ethical approach to medicine, which is to just alleviate suffering.
So what GreenMedInfo was based on was this concept well, okay, there's all this research supporting traditional medicine: plants, herbs, nutrients, minerals. Let's just get the research out to the people so they can see that despite the dominant medical model, you can get things from your grocery store or your produce case that do at least as well as the pharmacies out there.
Ante Kresich was diagnosed with lung cancer thirteen years ago. Croatian doctors advised him to get his affairs in order as time was short and the clock was ticking down. However, Kresich had other plans. In fact, he cured himself against all odds with his homemade medicine consisting of honey and herbs.
He claims to have reams of documentation, a bevy of evidence, enough perhaps to quell skeptics, dazzle curiosity seekers, and provide solid hope to struggling cancer patients who are seeking a holistic, inexpensive unconventional cancer cure that works.
His doctors were as amazed by his progress as anyone. Uncharacteristically, they actively encouraged him to continue doing whatever he had been doing to successfully treat his cancer. Of course, they were dumbfounded by his success.
But a few doctors, especially outside the USA and other Anglo nations, bow to the old adage: “The proof is in the pudding.” When Kresich’s doctors finally reexamined him, they didn’t find a trace of cancer in his entire body, thanks to his maverick honey and herb concoction.
So I think I might have mentioned here at some point early on, that a Doctor had suggested a fecal transplant as a treatment for our son. This was a traditional MD, who seemed to be questioning traditional methods that just were not working. That is fine, we are all at different levels of awakening. This was also the same Doctor who looked at me exasperated and said, "You can't believe how much pressure we are under to vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate..."
Anyway, he had been researching fecal transplants, and pointed us to some research on Google Scholar that showed great promise. We, in turn studied it to the point that we really believed it would work, but it was just a little to out there for us (and frankly, a little gross) for us to try. So I have not tried it, but have read enough to know that a lot of people say it is amazing as far as restoring gut bacteria.
Fast forward to today:
Much has been written about healing the gut with diets such as SCD, GAPS, Paleo and Paleo AIP. Many people can heal their leaky gut with these diets and other lifestyle changes. However, some people with more recalcitrant disorders, like autoimmune issues, may need some form of natural therapy to compliment the diet. That’s where the ultimate probiotic comes in, Fecal Microbial Transplant.
Fecal Microbial Transplant (FMT) is, in my opinion, the most promising treatment for a damaged gut, by far, as it is the ultimate probiotic. The transplant contains hundreds, if not thousands of strains of bacteria, many as yet unidentified. Compare that to the most powerful probiotic, that has, maybe up to 14 strains of bacteria.
The FDA has stepped in to control FMT when used in the clinical setting – limiting it to only resistant cases of C. diff. – after antibiotic treatment has failed at least 3 times (and the patient is near death).
There are clinics in the UK (Taymount) and Australia (Dr. Barody) where FMT is legal and has been practiced for years.
If I had a gut that was so destroyed that I could not restore it with diet (which I believe I have done) I would probably go so far as to try this, assuming I could find someone with worthy poopy. As the doctor told us, all you need is an old blender from the flea market and an enema bag and no one will ever know.
I am not a doctor. DYODD (Do your own doody dilligence)
A study published by Mayo Clinic found that almost 70% of Americans are on at least one pharmaceutical; antibiotics top the list, followed by antidepressants, and opioid pain killers. This is a problem in of itself, as it the United States has transformed into a pill-popping, medication-dependent nation. What’s worse is that antibiotics in particular are doled out in copious, unnecessary amounts, so much so that bacteria are developing major resistance to this conventional treatment. This is now a potential danger of antibiotics, and a serious grand-scale side effect of antibiotic use.
Even the WHO is calling this resistance a global health crisis, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that the age of antibiotics must come to an end. That is the first (1) reason to avoid antibiotic use.
While antibiotics have helped greatly with modern medicine, it seems that we need to start looking for alternative solutions. Here are 8 more compelling reasons to just say no to antibiotics.
