Can only guess we are outsourcing the weather predilections...
Guess we are outsourcing the weather predilections...
I,m praying that ISAAC is media overhype. My prayers go out to the people in the NOL area.
Gotta love it.
These two photos were taken in the same spot. First one is Sunday and the second one today, Tuesday. We're a lot luckier that those west of us but this is our view of it.
Seagrove Beach, FL
having been thru countless hurricanes, Isaac will do sporadic wind damage....lots of lost electricity....... downed trees....
little flooding....... no levie breeches and nothing like katrina.
whatever was gonna get blown away....got blown away 7 years ago.
no fun at all and dangerous yes.......but not biblical disaster.

We were on hols and due to fly back in the evening. we left Clearwater in the morning and the hurricane had been building earlier the previous day. The water in the car park was as high as the centre of the car wheels. On the journey back we dodged fallen trees and tumble weed type material and had to drive about 30mph as the rain was so hard the wipers were useless. A tip for you here I used to work for a wiper company and we discovered that if you drive fast enough (gonads needed) the water flow on the windscreen goes lamina and clear so you can actual see better with the wipers off. There obvious is a transient period between switching them off and it going clear so make sure you are on a straight road!
Anyway I digress. The causeway from Clearwater to the mainland was flooded so it actual looked like the water either side continued straight across and the only way you knew where the road was was the lampposts lining the way. Sadly, we were listening to the local radio and as we passed through the towns shortly after reports were made of trailer parks being washed away.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - If you see military helicopters flying low over Minneapolis, don’t be alarmed. They’re just training in an urban environment.
just training... for urban warfare... but don't be alarmed folks, you don't need these droids and you will take us to see Jaba the Hutt. They control your mind now, so you dont have to. Sad.
