Transferring Money from Australia to the US

Hello,

First time poster here. I am a US citizen currently living in Germany. I will be going to Australia for business at the beginning of 2012 and will make potentially a large amount of money in cash. I know that i can bring back about 10,000 Euros in cash with me to Germany on the plane, but i was wondering if anyone knows of a cheap and easy way to send money to my US bank account while I'm in Australia. Any help or advice is appreciated.
