It's been down since yesterday. Although I believe it's an issue with Tinychat. If you go to https://tinychat.com I can't load any of the chats.
Maybe this is a good time to upgrade to better chat software? The character limit and frequent crashing make the current web chat somewhat of a pain at times.
I'd like to suggest https://mibbit.com/ as an alternative. I'm sure there are others, but this one seemed pretty full featured and free.
Thanks Turd as always for this site.
The chat software is currently working correctly as far as I can tell.
Will wait for tinychat to come online again then, may be a regional issue
it hangs indefinitely on "loading"
(mibbit is nicer as it interfaces with real irc chat networks, so we can stay online 24/7 with our own clients)
I'm still having issues. Chrome won't work at all. I've tried it on two different computers. Firefox I was able to get in. There was hardly anyone in the chat so I'm guessing it's still affecting some other people as well. Hopefully it will work itself out soon.
I'm on Chrome right now and it's loading for me. I was able to get it to work in Firefox too. Might want to check what version of Chrome you are running... may need to update it. I am currently running version 15.0.874.120. Another suggestion would be to clear our your browser cache and see if that possibly fixes the issue.
Thanks, I finally figured it out. It was a Chrome Extension that was preventing me from getting in. Once I disabled it, the chat loaded right back up.
it had always worked for me before,
it's still down for me since, its a tinychat issue, see more people report it over the years, maybe some networking or policy issues, will switch providers later this week incidentally, maybe it'll work then with a new ip.
tried 2 machines:
LFS / Seamonkey / flash 11.1 r102
Ubuntu / Firefox / flash 11.1 r102
Not sure zilverreiger... still working for me, I just tried accessing it 5 minutes ago and was able to launch the chat. Do you know what versions of SeaMonkey and Firefox you're running? Do you possibly have access to a Windows or OS X machine where you could just test that it is working there?
Turned out to be my facebook.com block in dns, I don't like them to know what sites or even areas within sites i visit.
But so be it.
Ah ok, thanks for letting us know what was causing the issue for you.
