Democrats and Unions Join Protests

111

Biggest Wall St. protest planned

AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka, who has personally endorsed the protests, said the union’s executive board is meeting Wednesday to discuss a union-wide endorsement, Mother Jones added. And ex-Sen. Russ Feingold told the Washington Post he endorses the movement, making the Wisconsin Democrat one of the most prominent liberal supporters of Occupy Wall Street.

“This is like the Tea Party — only it’s real,” Feingold said on Tuesday. “By the time this is over, it will make the Tea Party look like … a tea party.”

A new Lost Decade is leading to revolution

118

Memo to the Super Rich, your high-paid lobbyists and your no-compromise political puppets whose sole mission is destroying the presidency: Yes, you are succeeding. You’re also killing the economy.

Thanks to your self-destructive ideology, America is now in the second of back-to-back Lost Decades. A new one on the heels of the 2000-2010 Lost Decade where Wall Street lost more than 20% inflation-adjusted. Get it? You guys launched America’s second Lost Decade of 21st century.

Yes, two consecutive job-killing Lost Decades. The first created by Wall Street’s obsessive greed. The new one triggered by the widening wealth gap that’s feeding endless partisan political wars powered by Super Rich conservatives hell-bent on re-establishing the same free-market, trickle-down Reaganomics policies that have been sabotaging America for the last generation.

Unfortunately, the new one gets worse: Why? The coming Lost Decade is a backdrop for a wave of class warfare destined to trigger a historic revolution in American politics, bigger than the ‘29 Crash and Great Depression.

Collective Stupidity

123

This movement is nothing but advancing the goal of the ultra rich -- the push towards complete socialism. Just as the big money interests funded the Bolshevik revolution along those same aims, this latest liberal movement will divert attention away from the real disease plaguing society today --collectivism, central planning and the erosion of our freedoms-- and carefully define the 'problem' along class divisions of left vs right.

The central planners, those globalists who truly pull the strings, know they *must* manipulate the sheep along false dichotomies of left and right because if the sheep were ever to phrase the problem honestly, they would see through the agenda of the ultra elite.

Wall Street, like Main Street before it, WILL be fleeced. The ultra elite will use this orchestrated take down of Wall Street to consolidate power on the cheap. The plan, it seems, is to impoverish individuals, companies and nations alike so that the only ones left standing will be a very tiny group of ultra elite megalomaniacs.

It is more than a shame, it is an absolute travesty that those protesting against Wall Street are unwittingly slitting their own throats as they continue to allow themselves to be herded like sheep into collective prisons of their own making.

They are unwittingly carrying out the plans set forth by those who want to see them enslaved.

Orange Revolution Redux

113

I guess the downtrodden Americans need their own Orange Revolution to make them feel good before reality sets in.

I'm sure there's an American version of Berezovsky out there, throwing enough money at this movement, to make this theater as real, and as big as the Orange Revolution ever was.

Never ceases to amaze me just how stupid and gullible people have become.

Pretty sad.

the crime has bEEn coMMiTTed. do you want to serve life in prison, take the death penalty or try a dangerous escape. i may be naive, sad, stupid and guLLible but that is not as sad as knowingly bending over to take it.

OWS is just a spark. it should get people to think about what they can do in their own lives to end this mistake.

More protest articles

I don't necessarily endorse the content of all links, just sharing interesting stuff I'm coming across:

Occupy Wall Street Protests: Police Make Numerous Arrests

(Many of the comments on this article are *not* favorable to the protestors.)

Media Protest Bias
https://www.noquarterusa.net/blog/62211/media-protest-bias/
(Interesting comparison of CNN videos covering Tea Party vs. Occupy Wall Street protests. The reporter interviewing the Tea Party members was extremely unprofessional and she looked like she wanted to rip their throats out.)

CHEERING ECONOMIC TERRORISM – SEIU GETTING READY TO ‘TERRIFY’ DC: STEPHEN LERNER AT SEIU MEETING OUTLINES RULES FOR CREATING A CRISIS — WE WANT THEIR KIDS TO HATE THEM, NAME ENEMIES LIKE GLENN BECK, SHUT DOWN BRIDGES, LONG OCCUPATIONS, RECRUIT TEA PARTY
https://www.theblaze.com/stories/cheering-economic-terrorism-seiu-gettin...
(Glenn Beck's online newspaper - the Blaze - with a video from an SEIU leader talking, among other things, about the value of shutting down bridges and creating a "crisis." What I thought was interesting was how he was explaining that he met a Tea Party guy on an airplane and was shocked to find out that the Tea Partier hated the banks too. He thought this would be an "in" to get the Tea Party on his side - though maybe he might have also considered that such "ins" could work in the reverse as well :-) )

You have your version

114

The rest has their's. This OWT is a big step in the right direction.....People are waking up in mass now. From the TP revolt to the OWS revolt.........Both are premised on common ideas, though not exactly the same, the end goal of both movements are very clear.

If these two sides were to have a come to Jesus meeting of the minds, those in charge will go away in a manner never imagined. I do see one thing now coming from MSM........some in power are already shitting their adult diapers.

The sheeple are starting to pay attention to what's going on in Greece and so is the hierarchy, we might just get some "change we can believe in" but it wont come from any political hack......they all may be in hiding in the coming months.

Just for the Bernake version of the (PA) Patriot Act..................Your next, you Fat Bastard!

As this movement gains more

112

As this movement gains more traction among the main street press, the elite will begin to define the problem for you through the various gatekeepers and special interests groups who will hijack this cause for their own needs.

Slowly, the tea baggers will be painted as the 'enemy' as this movement will morph from corporate corruption and greed, to championing various socialist agendas and the justification for class warfare.

The tactics of divide and conquer of entire classes of people keeps the heat off the small elite truly responsible for the worlds pain today. The end result will be greater division among people along class lines instead of uniting them against a common, and much smaller enemy.

These protesters would be better off avoiding the madness of crowds, focus their attention to educating themselves about how the world is being shaped for them and act accordingly.

I agree in part

115

that it might get high jacked just as the TP did. Yet this has gotten people from all sides and all walks talking again. It once again has those at the top worried, that in itself is a positive.

I watched MSM tonight........I think it was Chicago, there was a few signs in the window that said.."We are the 1 %". This very in your face picture will only add fuel to a burning bank, as they forget 99% is allot of pissed off people when you amount to a mere 1%.

This will no doubt get more interesting in the coming days and weeks. Those that had no idea what it was about are now getting a crash course on what those here already knew, so it seems they do not like how the "world is being shaped for them" and so are acting accordingly.

I see a FED rally in DC coming very soon, which will morph into a march on the hill.....20+ million out of work millions of others on the draw..........not much else to do, could be EPIC.

Ultimate goal

112

Do you guys know what is these protesters goal? I mean, what are they trying to achieve?

I saw many people screaming on Youtube videos, talking about the 99%, etc...OK...and? They are screaming on the street until when? What has to change in order to the protests to come to an end?

I think it's great people gathering together for a cause but I just can not see the end for these protests.

From what i see

112

and hear, there are many reasons from many venues........Jobs, FED, Bailouts,National debt, Foreclosures, Workers rights, War, Trade agreements, Crony capitalism......the list goes on. Basically people are tired of being dumped on in every aspect of their life only to see their debt rising and there labor value decreasing.

They, like all of us want the playing field cleaned up, they want accountability. Most of all, they do not want the Greece reckoning that is coming this way.

If there is a consensus of a message it would amount to........Fix this mess of a country voluntarily or be forced to step aside by vote or stone.

From where I'm sitting..

116

It looks like many are making the call before this thing has even gotten started. The detractors seem to be speaking from their own fears,,, dusting off 50 year old red baiting, McCarthyism propaganda as well as the same tired conspiracy theories we hear durring an election year between the left & the right. Tilting at windmills all.

This is your chance, maybe your last chance... to make your voice heard in the discussion/decision on how things are going to be. Either get involved and let your voice be heard or continue on with the status quo. Either way, you will be part of the solution or part of the problem... the choice is yours.

RuNuts - Joe McCarthy

113

"The detractors seem to be speaking from their own fears,,, dusting off 50 year old red baiting, McCarthyism propaganda as well as the same tired conspiracy theories" - RuNuts

Actually, this is old news, but Joe McCarthy's accusations were proven correct. People like you vilified the man, but he was proven correct with the release of old Soviet files and the Venona Intercepts: https://www.wnd.com/?pageId=4020

“Using new information obtained from studies of old Soviet files in Moscow and now the famous Venona Intercepts -- FBI recordings of Soviet embassy communications between 1944-48 -- the record is showing that McCarthy was essentially right. He had many weaknesses, but almost every case he charged has now been proven correct. Whether it was stealing atomic secrets or influencing U.S. foreign policy, communist victories in the 1940s were fed by an incredibly vast spy and influence network.”

The communist "conspiracy theory" was proven to be "conspiracy fact" and a lot worse than even Joe MCarthy had realized. But Progressives have always demonized their opposition and changed facts and history to suit their purposes. Truth-seekers they are not.

Which of you will join me in protesting,,,

121

Which of you will join me in denouncing and protesting President Obummer?

He campaigned on regulating and stopping the "evil fat cats" on Wall Street. All the time, taking their campaign money. And when he was elected, he brought in more Wall Street fat cats to his administration than any other president in history. Then he bailed out his Wall Street cronies and made Goldman Sachs the fourth branch of government.

The left spent 8 years railing on everything Bush, and not uniting with him on ANY policies. Will you now drop "the left thing" and "the right thing" and join me in denouncing and protesting the corruption in this Obummer administration?

He even has more Wall Street cash for this 2012 campaign than his last campaign. Not to mention the ultimate fat cat, Soros, funding him.

How convenient they are marching on a nameless, faceless "wall street greed". Do you want to find the actual Wall Street fat cats to protest? Go to the White House, they are in bed with Obummer.

They should be marching on the FED and the Obummer administration.

But I guess they won't march on their home team.
