QE3 watch - Pimco, BlackRock Say U.S. Economy Is Running at ‘Stall Speed,’ Fed May Act

If Ben, Pimco & Blackrock want it, they will get it. QE3... coming to destroy an economy & way of life near you.

The Fed may arrange a third round of quantitative easing, known as QE3, Gross said. The central bank purchased bonds to cap borrowing costs in the first two easing efforts. The Fed has also promised to keep the target for overnight bank lending low for an “extended period.” Policy makers cut the target rate to a range of zero to 0.25 percent in 2008 to support the economy.

End of August would be appropriate

No surprise to anyone paying attention, this is playing out exactly as expected and the target of QE3 by end of August looks spot on. Frankly, we are in a vicious cycle and the only way out is very, very bad for everyone. Prepare for more MOPE and SPIN as the release of QE3 comes to all of us peasants in the form of much higher (and unexpected) inflation. Prepare yourselves.

Signs point to Yes

FOMC is scheduled for Aug. 9. It could happen sooner than most expect.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as “bad luck.” ~ Robert Heinlein

According to some sources,

According to some sources, the US economy gets worse as time pass by. In fact, over three-fourths of Americans distrust financial system at present and the American consumer's mistrust of the country's economic system proceeds to increase. More than three in four Americans interviewed said they do not trust the country's financial system. Analysts say that regulators can work to rebuild that confidence. But consumers also need to be monetarily literate to observe the program.
