we don't know ourselves

a 3000 year old quest (probably longer)

Marcus Aurelius’s joke was that no one ever came to grief “ignoring what goes on in other people’s souls.” He meant that if you want to reduce the amount of stress and drama in your life, mind your own business. Because every one of us wastes far too much time thinking about, commenting on, and gossiping over, the state of other people’s marriages, other people’s ethics, other people’s intentions, other people, period. As if what they do in their homes and in their heads is of our concern.

And it’s not just that all of this is intrusive and outside the “circle of control,” it’s that while we’re doing it, we’re not doing something else. That is, not focusing on what goes on in our own souls. “If you won’t keep track of what your own soul’s doing,” Marcus asks, “how can you not be unhappy?”

The key to happiness is minding your own business. That means getting your nose out of other people’s and sticking it where it belongs: On sniffing out your inconsistencies, where you can be better, and where you’re falling short. Starting today.

This above passage is very similar to Stephen Covey concept of "circle of influence" which is really looking at your own life with a ownership mentality rather than a victim mentality and identifying what you have control over and what you don't. Just like the serenity prayer or the short version called "fuck it" wink

The first thing that occurred to me in reading your post GL

Is that the words and syncopation/rhythm and rhyme contained in it could easily be put to music. Right from the jump.

I don't write music but could write the song. Easy Peasy

Call it

'I Ain't bitching about my life, cuz' everything hurts Blues'

As as for knowing myself, fucking hell, I've spent a lifetime stuck on stupid, stepping on my dick so many times it's 3 feet long.

The only regret is it wasn't that long when I was 21.

Imagine what it's like!

Rage Rage against the dying of the light (while holding a 3 foot long weiner noodle) HAHAHAHA

The older I get the more I realize that I'm getting smarter and dumber at the same time, like a mental singularity that's sucking, stretching and spaghettizing my mind into a black hole. What's on the other side is what makes the whole process kind of fun no I got no worries about what's on the other side of this event horizon

I don't care who you are, that's fucking funny. Bloody blood moon made me do it. I'm kind of crazy this AM

But seriously, the song is there.

Very funny especially Stevie Wonder.

Probably snake oil in those cigarettes but if they had put in Mullein or Horehound than it would have been legit.

Most really good herbal pharmopedia's include smoking as a method of delivery with some herbs and with some lung afflictions.

I tried some Mullein in a rolled cigarette. It's a nervine. So it gives you a little buzz and then you're tired.

The real Native Indian tobacco, different than commercial cigarettes was the real deal. Real medicine. Somebody send me some. Not meant for recreational smoking. Shit is potent. And good natural pesticide too!

Farrell speculated in the past that the war against smoking in recent times has to do with they think that tobacco stimulates area's of your brain. Could be? I don't know anything about it. Because at one time it did have use for mental/emotional illness. Probably not the commercial stuff. Farrell is a serious puffer.

I didn’t want to pay to read the whole story.

Why release it instead of destroying it, if it doesn’t fit the narrative? This isn’t independent footage.

My grandmother had asthma and related stories of having a prescription for a leafy substance that she would put on a plate, light flame but let smoulder and breathe in the smoke. That was probably the 30’s. She claimed it worked well, but became hard to find and eventually of course there were injections available. She did not recall the name but it came from the apothecary. When she encountered the smell of pot in the hallways outside my apartment she’d go right back in time and tell the story again. I always figured it was marijuana, before marijuana was illegal. I’d kid her that ‘everyone’ these days had asthma.

Yup, that's Muellin. Has an herby smell like pot but it's a miracle herb used by the Native American's. Good herb to keep around. Since it's soothing, good for stomach aches with marshmallow. Smoldering is probably the best way to do it instead of going directly in the lung but ot each his own.

this guy takes a long time to tell about his problem but as you can see it got him out of a pickle. Alot of good video's on Mueillin. And I see people smoke it recreationally, but it won't give you much of a buzz and make you sleepy. I got a tincture brewing now as change of season is not far away.

I think you might have solved the riddle of your mothers mysterious healing agent.

I watched the live feed of the eclipse on and off for a good portion of it from several different sites.

I recognize that plant and we have it locally, possibly on our 10 acres. I'll have to keep my eye out for it.

Ruff, my wife's 28 year old has gone to greener pastures, he will be missed. crying I placed him so he can keep an eye on us and he is right next to our lab we lost to lymphoma last year.

Expanding Earth looks like

Expanding Earth

looks like some kind of hoax. If you remove the oceans then you'll see the ocean floor generally 4 miles below the continental border. Even the Marianas trench in the Western Pacific is only 21 miles down. The Earth is almost 8,000 in diameter. So when you take the oceans out how does the Earth contract (or have expanded in the past)? What happens to bedrock of the ocean floor?

I puzzled over this comment for quite some time. I had to re-read six times and then go out and pull some weeds. Now, let’s see if I can put my head into where your’s was when you wrote that. I had to reach way far back. Ugh. Just for you....................

Hmmmm….. The theory never proposed that Earth ever shrank one iota. He started with your familiar picture of what the Earth looks like right now. Then he ran the software backwards to show you how it got to be in its present form – by starting from an inert rock. Then he ran the software forward to show you how the inert rock turned into Earth as we know it. The Earth expands by subatomic particles being fed into the core , from the magnetic poles - on a constant basis – not steady – there are periods of mass injections – CMEs - Got that? New rock and water and everything else is formed by fusion and then shoved to the surface. It’s constant creation and expansion.

Let me help to fill-in some of the rest of the theory – this may help you. First clear your head of whatever BS notions you hold from any classical western religions etc. They are all prevaricated agendized lies, because the truth would set you free, and that is precisely what they are absolutely dead set against. OK? Are we clear? Then let’s begin. Pull up yur big boy panties, childhood is over, yur on DOTS now. Whining is allowed, but some here loose patience and you could get spanked. Fair warning.

I understand that people have different ways of asking questions………………………………….

Now, realize that the Earth has been changing constantly since it’s inception. It was birthed in a Nebula far far away. Something conscious put this together, using some tools and mechanisms and energy. Maybe that Nebula was right here 5 billion years ago and has transformed itself into the local 100 million stars and planets right around here. Afterall, ‘’here’’ was five godzillion miles away 5 billion years ago so we were maybe in a Nebula of star and planet creation way back there and then. Some creation theories say that the Earth was brought here (from another Galaxy or Universe), to be birthed into life by Sol. The Annunaki said their Creator god ANU, ‘’dissolved himself’’ into matter to create the 3D that we see. In other words it’s his energy that we consist of. We are in his thoughts. We exist because he is thinking – if you will. (I am condensing so many books and proposals – and each one is true, because you see all possibilities exist and Creator has/is exploring them all. Stackola asked me where to begin. Creation is Infinite, I guess we start there). Recall, Sol supports all life in this Sol-ar system. You see the lump of rock at the start of the video? That was the raw form that was transported here. Then Sol began to breathe life into the solid lifeless rock. She fed consciousness and the basic elements of water and carbon and sulfur and nitrogen and then there were the building blocks for an organic life form. Then the lessor creator gods came by and started to seed the Earth with basic life forms and then enough water reached the surface thru the cracks as she expanded and then they brought more complex life forms like fish, plants, and later mammals. And multiple ETs (lessor creator gods), brought their experiments. Do you see all the life-form experiments going on? The Insectoids brought their genes and experimented – now we have 2 million species of insects. And the aquatic ETs brought their genes to play with in the water. And then several ETs brought their humanoid genes, and so we have all the race experiments, black, white, yellow, midgets, giants. Creator is experimenting with life, in all the visible and invisible realms of her creations. Do you see?

If you don’t – tell me where you’re hung-up, I’m no mind reader. Do you want to walk thru the growing process of the Earth? There’s endless directions we could go. Wanna probe yur hang-ups on the internet, like some of the rest of us here.? Lol

Star birth. Like people, stars are born, they grow old and they die. It’s just a different time scale. Their birth places are huge, cold clouds of gas and dust, known as 'nebulas'. The most famous of these is the Orion nebula, which is just visible with the unaided eye. New stars and solar systems are being born there just 1,344 light years away – still in the Milky Way Galaxy, which is 100,000 light years across, so Orion Nebula is really close, which suggests that we are sorta new in the Galaxy, which further suggests that there are a lot of folks much older than us in this Galaxy..
