Yes correct, if you look at a map, what do you find? Nations, why is that? Because Mother Nature says so. So why are people so afraid of being called a nationalist?

Oy vey!

““The Summit with Russia was a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media,” Trump wrote. “I look forward to our second meeting so that we can start implementing some of the many things discussed, including stopping terrorism, security for Israel, nuclear proliferation, cyber attacks, trade, Ukraine, Middle East peace, North Korea and more. There are many answers, some easy and some hard, to these problems…but they can ALL be solved!”

The decline of the west has been steady for decades

Stack

The video reminds me of my teachers in elementary school, one tough prep school, my time in high school--public school that actually taught us something, through to college where I drilled down in business, finance and law (not without historical contexts supporting same.)

Those years went from 1957 to 1975 and might possibly be the last generation of schooling in the west, including Canada, America, the UK, most of Europe and Australia, that actually worked to provide a decent education instead of some vapid coaster ride with all the quality of Romper Room combined with Special Olympics. It's like the students today existed in a perpetual state of "Recess".

Millenniums of knowledge lost in a generation.  We have the makings of Idiotocracy and Brave New World in one swelled foop.

Funny, I can remember never winning a prize. Now they're awarded like candy at Halloween

Many of my teachers lamented that our generation was so educationally stunted and far behind the generation in which they grew up,  when their teaching career required some serious study, they felt almost overwhelmed with the task of education contained these skulls full of mush, to quote Rush  They looked at us with dismay, wondering we actually made it to their classes without a nanny to hold our hand.

I felt somewhat embarrassed at my lack of solid educational chops in light of their observations and worked hard to justify their beleaguered faith in us.

Most of my teachers were diligent, passionate, aware and focussed on making sure they got the lessons across. At my prep school, a mishmash of military and Jesuit-like hard core lessons and masters, where corporal punishment was mandatory and capital punishment always lurked in a dark corner, we studied much of what the author noted is now unknown to the  vast waste land that substitutes for a college educated student of today.

I confess that I cannot remember those lessons learned 50-60 years ago. Age tends to erase the immediacy of each lesson and segments of a curriculum but we did study most of what is now missing including the classics. Today we remember the resonance of the lessons,  if not that actual curriculum,  yet even that sticks with you for a lifetime

That said, and having never had kids of our own, we can only view the parlous state of what education represents today as one vast sausage factory who's sole objective is to leave the students today in a state of duality and denial.

Educated with knowledge that likely would not help them pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were printed on the heel yet able to recite the Social Justice Warrior catechism credo, it seems have done little more than make a generation of Triggly Puffs woefully unready to face the world.

Western culture and civilization  cannot exist in an educational vacuum that does not give these children a sense of their history and place in the world. Those who know nothing will believe anything.  There is great value in western culture, built by blood, sweat and tears of the 50 generations that went before us.  You have to respect that and yet these dunderheads think that uprooting this millennium of brutally hard work is their life's mission.

If the crap hits the fan their education will begin in earnest and most harshly.  Cultures and countries that failed left their most vulnerable, the young and old, in the dust. It's often aused by a cultural ennui and dissipation of having everything handed on a silver platter with no rigor expended to obtain  these gifts,  completely unaware of the sacrifices made that brought such a life of ease to their fingertips.

They will find quickly what my relatives meant when faced with privation

Root hog or die

Political correctness taking a day off:

                     Let's Piss Off Everyone

I'd just come out of the shop with a roast beef sandwich, large chips, ear of corn & a jumbo sausage.  A poor homeless man sat there and said 'I've not eaten for two days.'

I told him, 'I wish I had your will power.

A fat girl served me in McDonald's at lunchtime.  She said 'sorry about the wait'.

I said, 'Don't worry, you'll find a way to lose it eventually'.

I walked past a black kid sitting at a bus stop as I went into the bank.  When I came out, he looked at me and said 'Any Change?'  I said, 'Nope, you're still black'.

Snow in the forecast and the TV weather gal said she was expecting 8 inches tonight.

I thought to myself, 'fat chance', with a face like that!

Years ago it was suggested that an apple a day kept the doctor away.  But since all the doctors are now Muslim, I've found that a bacon sandwich works best!

Japanese scientists have now created a camera with such a fantastic shutter speed that it is now possible to take a photograph of a woman with her mouth closed.

I hate all this terrorist business.  I used to love the days when you could look at an unattended bag on a train or bus and think to yourself.... 'I'm going to take that.'

A man in a hot air balloon is lost over Iowa.  He looks down and sees a farmer in the fields and shouts to him, 'where am I'?  The farmer looks back up and shouts back.  'You're in a basket you dumb ass'!

I had a big lead in a trivia competition at a local bar until the last question which I got wrong.  The question was where do women have the curliest hair?

Fiji was the correct answer...hell, how did I know they wanted the name of a country?

I took my Biology exam last Friday.  I was asked to name two things commonly found in cells.  Apparently "Blacks" and "Mexicans" were NOT the correct answers.

I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,

but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake...

Well

I don't get the point he was making. I probably missed it cuz his voice was like listening to a golf announcer. He can't honestly think that western culture is dependent on knowledge of the individuals he listed? He doesn't even define what culture is.  Not to mention the contempt he and articles author showed toward his students.

Dershowitz pissed me off too. Don't worry Alan we can't forget your people cuz we are bombarded with your history non stop.

Why on earth did he bring up Peterson who is drugged out of his mind?

Then he wants to lump Americans in with euros. The only thing that makes an American an American is our borders and constitution.  Regardless of how often a border changes or country name changes. A Irish will always be an Irish and a spaniard  will always be a spainard. Take away our borders and we are no one.

Note: see how quickly southern identity was wiped away. When they ask for reparations in 2024 my answer is gonna be what slaves?

althouh the professor he was quoting did mention in the beginning that his students were “well intentioned” and similar things (that’s more paraphrased than verbatim)

he was a bit condescending, I wouldn’t argue that point

what I took away from it, mainly, is that the education has intentionally denied teaching “us” our true history. This is by design. To severe off connection to PhD ancestors and our cultural history, replacing it with cultural Marxism.

We live in the age of identity politics but anyone European or also American whites have been systematically punished for even “noticing” that and discussing accordingly

also I heard him say something like:

you can choose to not play identity politics

but identity politics will play you

Thanks for responding

Ruffian's True Identiy Revealed

Neighbors:

Ruffian sounds like a senior lecturer from the  United States Army War College. Actually, she sounds far more learned than most instructors because she has a well rounded classical education that is sorely lacking in the current crop of senior officers.  For those who aren't aware; the War College is considered post graduate study and necessary for promotion beyond O5 or Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army officer Corp.

generally my response to Ruffian is an adequate  response to you as well

albeit less well written, admittedly

I wouldn’t disagree with any of that!

I would just add that it is a sad state of affairs.

And now the universities need safe spaces

We don’t have to play identity politics

but we will be played by identity politics

thanks man

he smelled of elitism so I reckon I was just turned off.

Also im so disgusted with every branch of gov and media I can't be objective. I'm sure I'd sleep thru his lectures.

It won't matter soon anyway. Brick and mortar schools will be going the way of retail. Teacher unions won't be able to stop it either.

Early Autumn and Bitcoin

I Declare Early Autumn

I got that feeling yesterday that comes every year at the end of August and Indian Summer.  The light has a distinct essence, a brightness.  The air a distinct crispness and dryness.   It's a time when the yang energies of summer begin to shift into a yin mode.   Most importantly, the body begins to experience the same shift.  Just like people who have certain injuries know it's going to rain without a barometer, your body knows that the shift is happening.

Yesterday, before I left the house, I prepared a hot exilir of herbs.  In the afternoon, we arrived at the beach to see few people swimming in the water with a real feel in the 70's and a strong wind and that distinct INdian summer light.

Chinese medicine has acknowledged this season for yonks and it's traditionally when people start to take a change season formula to suport the immune system.

I pulled up accuweather forecast for the next two months, and see evening temperatures in the 60's and 70's with NO MORE 90 degree plus days in the forecast.  Looks like we will stretch into the upper 80's on some days, with a trend of cooler and crisper evenings.

Some of you felt it.  Must have felt it.

Interesting to note that Bitcoin kept running.

You think of bitcoin as an investment of little interest.  I think of bitcoin as a social phenomena.   So as tornado's ravanged Iowa yesterday, Trump undergoes harsher and more difficult treatment, bitcoin continued to blast into orbit.

What does bitcoin represent to people?

Bitcoin, like gold and silver, represent that move against government and dissolution of systems.  Groups of people anticipating significant change in our financial system. It has some striking feature and relationships/association with the lord of death, kali on a planetary archetypical level. the potential  to bring death, complete transformation, and rebirth.  It's almost parabolic move taking place now as the left strengthens it's war against Donald Trump, as the quirky and volatile weather change,

Although we know alot about it's suspicious birth and it's creators, and the possibility of it being used against society, we shouldn't ignore it's symbolic value of what it represents and the timing of this extreme move upward, as we see more and more strife in our country, an increase frontal attack on by the left.

That guy Styxhammer666 thinks that Trumps error in speech represented more of a Freudian slip.    He said what we meant and then withdrew it in light of the attacks by the media.   Certainly is possible.  But it's an unusual moment for a guy like Trump who walks and talks with such bravado.   Whether he withdrew the statement as a mistake? or as telling the truth and then backing off, it is out of character for him and should be noted.

that your usual writing style GL.  Where did you find this commentary?

It is thought provoking in that certain people might think this is the real collusion with Putin and Russia.  It would be sufficiently subtle to work effectively, hiding in plain sight, giving comfort to those who want to deconstruct America that Trump is a wrecking ball yet convert enough to be missed by Trump's supporters.  There is a ring of plausibility to it and plenty for conspiracy theorists to chew on for decades

What it does say is that Trump is one more puppet, albeit a very slick one, working for the oligarchs that mean to damage America beyond repair  by dividing us against us.  Trump's a puppet and Putin is one as well if this line of reasoning is followed

NOw, I'll tell you what I think this forum post represents.   A deep crisis in America.  Well, you might say, no shit. But there is more to this story at a higher level than just one of the many delusional people.   I'll tell you what I know about this guy.

He's a Celt like you. You might find alot more in common with the Mad Lebanon Professor who see's the lies and lack of reasoning that is so prevalent today.    Looks like a 60 something strong man with a mustache who likes Guinness on tap and black and tans.  He lives in California.   He's a liberal warrior for truth and change, an astrologist and self deluded.

But he represents something more.  The crisis in this country, a crisis on the left  and a crisis in the world of Astrology, because they are all under the same planetary force.

I found this man on a forum of a world famous astrologer.  A prolific writer, much in demand speaker, and actually quite an intelligent person and excellent story teller, leaves his model of the world and spouts off on politics.  This time calling Trump a traitor in Helsinki.  No evidence of any informed, or astrological commentary on it.

All of a sudden forum members get a voice and cheer him on one after another.  And then suddenly, an Astrologist and Trump supporter (very rare and I'll explain why) tears him a new ass.   I'll never buy your books again. Your ruining your career etc, etc, etc, etc,   The only other comment that took him to task was by a prominent cycles theorist and financial astrology who has published a book on gold cycles and is published in the wall street journal.  But not much substance.

The entire thread throws astrology under the bus because nobody is using the tool that is supposed to cut through all the bullshit.  They snicker and name call the two people who have taken exception to the comment.  So I try to appeal to reason, and you know how that works on forums.

It is no coincedence that astrology is ruled by the same planet that is an indicator of power to dissolve forms in politics and relates to  the generational periodic turnings of Strauss-Howe generational theory.  The strauss howe theory aptly describes western history in the past five centuries in terms of a r a recurring series of events lasting roughly 90 years. That's just short of the length  the length of a full human lifetime, is also half of the orbital period of this planet.  Neptune. Each period  starts with a "High" or period of economic and civic growth, and ends with a "Crisis", marked by economic destruction and wars.

Virtually all of the "Crisis" periods described by the theory correspond to the periods that this planet occupies the area of the sky we call .  Fittingly, these signs are the last in their respective halves of the zodiac.

This same planet rules both astrology and the political left.  And as it is obvious the political left is in crisis, so is the astrology community.  I've been watching for a better part of two years prominent astrolists and forums where they are basically projecting their believes onto the stars instead of reading them from a neutral stand point.   There is a two year thread that started with when is Trump getting impeached. NOt because they have any awareness of the cycles at hand, simply because they believe that he is a traitor and it's inevitable this will happen so they go looking for the transits that will indicate this.

This is the height of cognitive dissonance.  It's subverting everything that astrology should be and represent as a neutral method of obtaining information and cutting through the propaganda.

Many astrologers are actively political and while they  believe that astrology can accurately describe the human psyche, VERY FEW  are aware of a  a reliable astrological method for determining political tendencies.

So we have the same planet ruling the liberal left, astrology that also has the characteristic of selective blindness and self deception.  As a result of this natural bias, astrology has been unable  to fully recognize this emerging pattern of mass amount of astrologists applying their  political ideology bias to what's happen.   And thethe tools having been available for over two centuries when they discovered a little known asteroid in 1802.   That means that accurate astrological system for classifying political views has  never been embraced  the astrological community except a few.

So instead of a reasoned discourse, it's attack.  "Anybody with an open mind" = you're an ignoramus if you don't see it my way and I am unable to mount a reasoned argument and put facts together that support my world view.   This is not just a left problem but it also applies to the right.   This trend will intensify as this planet ingresses into Pisces.   We will dispense with all reason, we will not know why we are making the choices we do politically, or even financially, other than we will believe what we hear.  We will accept anybodies theory of what is happening who has any authority.

It should be noted that Trump isn't the only person using these techniques.  Mueller might be a genius too.  He has how many indictments now of Russian officials?  That's like indicating men on Mars.  It's absurd that you can indict foreign persons for crimes who live under another government sovereignty.   Logically absurd, but incredibly effective when repeated by CNN and MSM.   They know what they are doing.  Idiots? No....  Men with absolutely no integrity?  Yes.

Another trend is occurring in which a center is emerging.  As the right/left paradigm dissolves, the planetary force that represents this "libertarian" movement actually is getting stronger.  Ron Paul represents probably the most popular libertarian voice in our country at this time, he and many others of this ilk have this asteroid in a harmonious position as the power of this asteroid gets stronger and more influential.  So the resurgence of libertarian thought (not a realist political force) but representing a dissolving of both sides is a trend that can be read.

Their political bias refuse to see any of these trends and thus their choosen model to analyze the world is rendered useless.  TOTALLY USELESS and thus this trend of selective blindness by the public will continue, as the left continues to loose power it will permeate the air waves with propaganda, and Trump could end up like Julias Ceasar "Et Tu Brute?"

This war we are watching is necessary for the necessary dissolving of government structures.
