The quote was

He didn't say he did it. It was a boastful comment about what women (cringe) will let famous men do in front of another famous man.

@Abguy

Maybe a lucrative " outsource your bridges " deal that has  kickbacks galore and an added bonus to knock the USA engineers as incapable?

On the lookout?

Can I quote you?

NOBODY said he did that.  Especially me. I just said that's not a picture I ever entertained but if you like I can conjure up any picture I fancy, and project out into your minds. . And I asked a group of filthy horny pigs if they ever entertained that picture and  they said, they hadn't entertained that particular picture  but I ain't telling ya the pictures they did entertain.

I don't excuse or condone anything Trump has done with any of the women that accuse him of groping and kissing them without their permission.  Plus the accusation isn't kissing and groping this time.  It's six months of rabbit sex.  Maybe one time with a trannie would be better?

And most of you are smart of enough to know that as a 1% billionaire with incredible fame, women walked around him asking for it.  On the list of things I care about, that is number 3456.  Could go up and down depending on whether you guys find a smoking gun on that Florida bridge.

But I know one thing, all of a sudden, y'all seem to be interested in the Art of Persuasion.  Taking the side of his defense.   Now, the persuasion technique being used is at least he didn't stick his hand up a pigs ass and touch himself like the other sicko's. He's a real man.   OK!!! I get it.

Ya see, I don't really give two hoots.  I don't have a political hero that I need to defend and I'm a big fan of Ben Franklin and he loved French woman, wine but he also kept a book on the position of the stars and could predict the weather better than Janette Garcia with all that Rothschild weather equipment..  Something tells me Trump would buy a star, but never care to interpret it.

If you're going to take the highest oath of office in the worlds superpower.  Ya gonna have your personal life totally exposed.    That's his problem, not mine.  But maybe we can conclude that Jesus didn't ordain his Presidency and I believe that Jesus probably loves Bill and Hillary and Obama more than you do but probably doesn't give a shit about any of it either.

Ya see, I don't know what's like to be a billionaire and have women fawinging over me constantly. Either do you.   Nor do I know how it feels to have a crooked dick that needs airing out and be married to Hillary.  Seems to me that if we are going to defend somebody because of our deep understanding,  Big Willie the man that needs a little compassion.

Lawyers gonna feast on this

U-tube is now full of analysis videos, as it is sooo obviously such a fertile subject area to gather clicks. They are all about; “WTF went wrong?” Let me save ya’ll some precious time. To wit; Very first rule in engineering – Murphy’s Law – “If it can go wrong it will”. This thing was designed with five dozen critical failure points, each of which (when they failed) would instantaneously lead to a fatal and catastrophic and explosive failure. See the collapse videos. I simply don’t shive-a-git which critical big bolt failed. WTF happened to gud engineering? Was this design simply a matter of; ‘Hey, we’re bored. Let’s see how much we can fk with success before someone dies’?

I spoke with the relative that works in Gov construction last nite. He says; 1) that company used this design for a bridge that failed while it was being put in place in Chesapeake VA., but Hey, they have all the minority requirements in place soo……. 2) No one will go to jail, most especially any Gov employees that signed-off on it. Never happened the last time – never will. 3) Don’t even touch the sacrosanct minority hiring/contract issue. Its off the table for starters. 4) Down the line the victims’ families may try to sue the moving company. Like Fixer noted, Lawyers gonna feast on this.

WAtched that video early AM, and then his next video comes on...

I hear him say this “isn’t an engineering fuck up per se”

Then he goes on to say, the “bridge didn’t fail”  “A section of bridge under construction failed”

Then if you can make it from 4 minutes, all the way to 8 minutes,  he gets to the smoking gun, somebody fucked up “ERROR”

Then if you have leisure time, he tells you about a perfect 60 year cycle in play (he doesn't actually tell ya the cycle) of the same fuck up that occurred 60 years ago, in the Year of the Dog, where this bridge collapsed because of bad false work.   I think he's on to something.

My question is; whose body were they burying?  Maybe someone got Arkancided and they all joined in.

There's a movie called 7 psychopaths.   These cucks were not in it but they should have been.

Just an observation of the interesting times we live in.   I'm long on earth moving equipment and CAT

My mea culpa…

Seeing as I can't find any evidence that that bridge was ever planned to be suspended,

And that it actually was designed to self-destruct with explosive force at multiple points,

I now conclude it was designed to fail.

We got snow out of the storm

We got snow out of the storm you are waiting for a couple of days before it ran across the country. We are currently awaiting our share of the atmospheric river that is attacking the west coast. It is coming from the tropical Pacific/Hawaii and will be a warm one, often called a Pineapple Express by many.

Hope you weather it well.

You obviously didn't get the memo.

Memo

From New York State Governor

This storm will not be steered into the boondocks.   All New York State Citzens north of Hudson County will be spared.   However, if you live in the Tri-state area, SUCK IT UP!! big, wet snow flakes.   We will find other ways to screw

For citizens who are not sure they live in the northern or southern part of the state, we've prepared a list to help you identify your geographic location.

If your local ice cream stand is closed from October through May, you might live in Upstate New York

If while you're shopping for nails, you have to move aside to allow a bride and groom get married because the church won't marry them,  you might live in Upstate NY.

  •
  •           "If your dad's suntan stops at a line curving around the middle of his forehead, you might live in Upstate New York.

If you have had a lengthy phone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number, you might live in Upstate New York.

You measure distance in hours.

You know several people who have hit a deer more than once.

Down South to you means Corning.

You go out for a fish fry every Friday.

You actually understand these jokes, and you send them to all your Upstate New York friends and to those who used to live here and left.

The whole town comes out for high school graduation

You get pissed because when anybody in the world says New York, they aren't referring to the place you live.

There is also the possibility, I'll admit very remote, that we discovered a new phenomenon that has been little understood by humanity.   NEGLIGENCE.

abguy4's picture

what went wrong?

What went wrong? IF yur a millennial, Skip my dialogue and checkout the picture. For those that actually learn from reading( you know – you old farts) follow along and learn how it goes in an engineering firm.

You, as one of the bottom feeding engineers in the group (who also actually likes to work at his trade), gets a design assignment – like designing a bridge. You work on the assignment until you have a reasonable proposal, at which time you present this to yur first line of management. They actually haven’t done any engineering in twenty years, they spend all day trading stocks in their 401k and checking the budget to make sure they are on track for a bonus. So they schedule a “contingencies” meeting, where  essentially they get all the rest of the bottom dwelling scum to do the managers’ job. A contingency meeting consists of all interested parties, or people that hate you, or just bored people who need to show face. You present your design, and everyone gets to throw out, “What IF?”, type questions. What is yur plan if “X” goes wrong? What if “X” and “Y” goes wrong? Then when everyone is convinced that the design is 100% functional and meets all requirements, everyone signs-off. This is how (in da ole daze) an engineering group finalizes a design proposal, that is then sent to upper management. Upper management signs-off -- if it doesn’t interfere with a tee-off time.

Now-a-days, here is your contingency meeting to flush-out design flaws at your Gov. mandated properly staffed minority represented engineering firm (Well, you wanna meet or exceed qualifications for a bid proposal, Right? It’s a simple question, Yes or No?)-------PS That would be AB the token whitey at the white board

On the Florida bridge

Abguy say
It would have groaned and sagged and twisted and bent piece-meal fashion. It would have been lighter, and cheaper and less fragile and it wouldn’t have cracked explosively.

cliff 567 say

From what I have gathered, the span was delivered or assembled or was stored parallel to traffic in the median strip prior to lifting.
The delivery specs called for perpendicular support members to spread the WEAKENED stress by the span NOT sitting on it's end plates. The span requires gravity to and its own internal cables to stress the material.
When they used a fulcrum sitting on the crawlers lifting it into position, they could not spin the crawlers 90 degrees so they pulled the crawler pivots into the center where they allowed 25% of the structure's weight to break its back before they ever set it on the pylons.
Once it was seated, the whole crew said good night, or minyan and the engineer that saw the cracks called the state guy who was away for 2 days.
Then the crew noticed that the tension cables in the super structure of the span were slack so they went right into tensioning an already over tensioned hardened steel member and pop goes the weasel.

There was also a titanium alloy coating on those 16" tubes that was going to collect dirt and turn it white as a preservative that would very attractively reflect an entire rainbow of colors. A girls touch of that thang!

abguy4's picture

excellento Cliffy

excellento Cliffy, you jst identified 15 things that went wrong. 15 things for which the installation crew had no contingency plans. See contingency meeting above.

I sorta imagine the crew foreman talking to his rigging guys saying:

"We git fined $100,000 a day by the State Transportation Dept., everyday that piece of shit sits on the ground. Get it on those pylons or find another job"

Green Lantern's picture

Hold that thought

Yeah gotta read ALL THE FACTS.... And these facts are just in..... Allow me gentleman.  Associated Press did a document search and found the following.

This is a straight line drawn.

The sexy playboy lady on the left represents the moment an idea was conceived.   "Let's build a bridge"

The point on the right represents, the first moment in the time space continuum that the bridge began to collapse.

The exercise you guys are playing is find the point in time that error was introduced into the narrative.

We have the nefarious narrative, we got the decline of western civilization narrative, and the engineering narratives that are looking at the execution which gets us back to somebody fucked up.

Said another way, according to NATURAL LAW, we need to find  the point in time the project took off in a parallel universe, strayed away from the universe where a nice bridge was build so humans could walk across the street.

WHAT's THAT POINT?

All the video's so far, you all are looking for technical engineering errors.    It seems that the guys in the field are waay down the line, not that they aren't implicated by ignoring their training.

As a judge deciding the fate of millions and millions of dollars, it is MY job to decide who is responsible.  Locate the causality of the problem and the people or persons responsible for that initial error of judgment.  The error of judgemental precedes all errors of engineering.

Based on this report that just hit the press, I'm putting that arrow way back in 2016, when the government told the engineering team, after they designed the bridge to move the pylon.

Documents obtained by The Associated Press through a public-records request show that the Florida Department of Transportation in October 2016 advised Florida International University and its contractors to move one of the bridge's main support structures 11 feet north to the edge of a canal, widening the gap between the crossing's end supports and requiring some new structural design.

Which means, I put the smoking gun right here

While the NTSB probe has just begun, multiple engineers who reviewed the documents obtained by the AP said moving the tower after the bridge's initial design invited errors.

Henry Petroski, a Duke University civil engineering professor, said even seemingly minor changes in a bridge's design can lead to failures.

So there you have the moment causality was introduced into the time/space continuum.  (that's relative causality because causality actually existed before the idea was conceived.  Let's stay away from those intangible idea's for now)

So the question is NOW, Who Do We Nail to the Cross.

The government that told them to change the design because they wanted to widen the road in the future?

Munilla Construction Management, the people who won the design contract.

The Secondary Contractor who was collaborating on the design

The city of Sweet Water which is being told by their attorney to keep their mouths shut.  Hmmmm?

FIU's who might, JUST MIGHT have been scared they were going to loose all the federal funding so rushed the construction firm to complete it, without a total redesign?  (look closely)

NOW READ CAREFULLY.

The documents show that further time pressures were put on the tower redesign due to a bottleneck at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Corps was in charge of permitting certain aspects of the new tower's footing and other elements but had stopped due to federal budget cuts. Documents show the contractors wouldn't begin work until the Corp's permits were finished, and FIU worried delays could jeopardize federal funding.

You got that?  THE US ARMY CORPS stopped due to they not receiving government money and the CONTRACTORS wouldn't begin work until the Corp's permits were finished?

No we are well along this time line, well after the order to redesign the bridge.

It sounds to me that the contractor continued to work DESPITE a STOP ORDER on the left, but were pressured to continue working by the peeps at FIU so everybody would get paid.

Now look, this engineer agree's with me, city boy who doesn't know what a flat head scewdriver is.

"At this time, I do not think the movement of the footing for the pylon to the north was a primary factor in the failure. However, the movement of the footing led to the requirement for one of the temporary steel supports to be relocated to be able to travel on the highway," he said.

See Causality.  A decision way back caused them to move the footing which in turn made them move the steel supports.  Isn't that what that guy said on the video?  The footing.  The bridge didn't collapse, the construction on the highway.

The questions you are no doubtedly asking at this point.

Did The US Army Corp of Engineer communicate to the FIU or the Construction companies to STOP!!!???

If no, sue the shit out of the government.  As much as you'd like to hold the financial branch of the government liable for withholding funding (and maybe you can??) the US Army Corp of Engineering was responsible for overseeing the project as the government agency in charge.

How many lawsuits, besides this one, are currently pending against the US Army Corp of Engineers?

https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/news/2017/03/16/lawsuit-army-corps-management-of-missouri-river.html

These peeps got some problems unless they handed culpability to the contractors as indicated in some of these cases.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Army_Corps_of_Engineers_civil_works_controversies

Now as fellow libertarians and experts in Natural Law, it is your duty to find the source of the incompetence and give them a good ass whoopin'.

No doubt, we have a Mexican stand off and everybody will point fingers.

Now if you want my opinion and even if you don't, it lies somewhere between the person who received the letter from the government to move the pilings and realized it was a problem and they couldn't redesign or scrap the project, and The US Army Corp of Engineers charged with overseeing these projects.

But all of a sudden, nobody is talking.   The project should have been stopped but nobody was willing to stop and admit defeat.

This is a micro example of America not wanting to wake up and admit, we can't grow anymore, better to take the ass whooping before shit collapses.
