Eighty years ago, sister Lura Grubb said:

The walls of denominationalism are crumbling, and the spirits of sectarianism are being crucified as suffering, sin-sick humanity rushes out of every creed and ken, "outside the camp", to see Jesus of Nazareth as He passes by once again. Their bodies are sick, and the prayer-book failed to bring healing. Their souls are distraught with fear, and their catechism failed to bring relief. Their minds are confused, and by-laws and discipline failed to bring enlightenment. The world is weary with creeds and by-laws, prayer books and liturgy. THEY WANT JESUS! They want Jesus! They are told that Jesus of Nazareth passes by. Nothing will stop them now. They have set out to find Him. And when He comes to them in this revival, He is not asking for credentials from a denomination or organization. All He is requiring is an unbiased surrender to Him- a full abandonment of self to Saviour, of creed to Christ, life to love. (Living to tell of Death, Grubb P. 94-95).

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I first heard about Lura Grubb about 30 years ago from a man who knew her. Her death and resurrection made national news in the '30's. During the '50's. the man that I knew, passed her little books out to the many. Yes Jesus does raise the dead and the resurrection life is ever before the Church. Jim

SUNDAY MORNING OUTCASTS?

I have been visiting with the man who is installing siding on our townhouse project. He is quite refreshing and unusual. He has said that his mandate (from the Lord), is to enter the steeple houses and challenge them to come back to the original, undivided message given to the Church. As I have stated before, he has been beaten, arrested and jailed for speaking to the blind assemblies. He is not welcome in any divided steeple house in the entire region. OH WHAT A BLESSING!

He has prepared himself for the coming tribulation as he sees himself off the grid. Most just talk about their bugout bags and places of escape. He does not own any property, does not live in a rental and pays zero property taxes. He lives in his car in the woods, every night. Yes he does have money but will not use it for the normal comforts of life. He no longer has a phone nor a computer. He will not need to leave much behind in that evil day which is approaching and arriving much faster as our nation is under judgment.

The question must be asked: Are we also outcasts from the man made systems of this world? Have we paid the price for "standing"? The early Church paid the price, the Lord paid the full price, Watchman Nee and George Fox paid their price. There is a long line, through Church history, who have paid the full price. However, today, many will be looking ahead for Easter dresses and baskets full of eggs as they listen to the prosperity false gospel as that message will arrive on Resurrection Morning!

Prophets of the Lord make pew setters uncomfortable. They always have and will until the end. Their messages rip apart our comfort zone where we have lodged. They place a Huge Light upon our fallen condition. We cannot argue with their announcement of "IT IS WRITTEN"! The majority will just slither back onto the cold dead pew, write their leaders that tithe check for the new piano in the Sunday school and feel great for another week. Time to WAKE UP! Jim

@ SWM: The Church and the invasion by Babylon!

Carol: That is a question that I have attempted to answer on these forums over the last three years. A list to bring order back to the Church would be very long. Americans understand that the "rule of law' within the nation is over but the Christians do not understand that the "order" of the Church has long ago been corrupted.

Fixing the state of ruin, within the corrupted systems, looks like it is almost impossible. When the Lord returns, He will "bring judgment to His House" as He has stated. He already stated:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

John 16King James Version (KJV)

16 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.

2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Carol, if one could make the beginning changes it would be a long list and I will give a few items:

(1). Conviction must come from the Spirit of God within the steeple houses. Without repentance of our dead works and the detours taken by the priestcraft, there is little hope.

(2). Closing down all of the thousands of divided steeple house systems, selling their properties and assets, especially the RCC,and using the funds for their original purpose >>>> feeding the hungry and clothing the naked.

(3). Abolishing the clergy/layman division as the priesthood burns their robes, hats, and even their turned around collars along with all costumes of division.

(4). The set free families organizing home fellowship meeting for the local Church to meet, without any clergy divisions.

(5). The preaching of the Cross being central.

(5). The local elders watching over God's Flock (yes the Flock is His and not some preachers flock) as the world will continue to invade the local Church with prosperity false gospel and the false gospel of trying to "discover our Jewish roots".

(6). Church discipline being reintroduced within the local house Church. The N.T. has stated plainly as to how we deal with "SIN" within the Church. (When was the last time that members were removed, from the assembly, for adultery, fornication, stealing, etc.)? See 1Cor.

(7). Repentance by the majority for giving up their new birth rights and placing their callings with someone who has been to a divided bible college. (Mark 16 >> These signs will follow those who believe......)

(8) Standing firm on the Jezebel spirit within the entire steeple house systems which have not followed the instructions of women keeping silent in the Church. (see also Rev. 2: 20-21).

Side note: I was talking to Bob again today, the man who is placing siding on our project. He has stood in the steeple houses and warned the assemblies of their great error in allowing the enemy to have access via women teaching/preaching/talking in the Church. He said as soon as that happens, the Holy Spirit has departed and now the system is left to navigate their own detours until repentance is obtained.

(9). Repentance for being such a poor witness to a lost world as they see plainly our folly that we have been blinded to within.

(10). Repentance for our involvement in abortion on demand, preached from a false pulpit, as we agree with the murder of the unborn. Great judgment will fall upon all who have sided with the killings of the innocent.

Well Carol, this is a short list for sure. jmo Jim

Andrew Miller had a conclusion, long ago:

CONCLUSION

Such alas! is the condition of what man and the world call the church at the close of our history.

"The falling away" has commenced; "the strong delusion" may have set in; the coming of the Lord

draweth nigh. The Christian, in these last and closing days, is only safe in keeping the Lord Himself

constantly before him, and daily looking for His return. He must not trust or follow entirely any

community of

Christians; there are none of one heart and one mind in the Lord. But this need not

prevent him from breaking bread with those who are gathered to His name. We only mean that his

Christianity must be intensely personal, intensely individual. He must maintain a holy walk with the

Lord, and uninterrupted communion with Himself, in separation from the swelling tide of evil which is

rising on every side. When the darkness thickens, and troubles arise, the soul's only refuge is in the

secret of His presence.

Nations may be quarrelling, the cry of war may be coming from all quarters,

calamities of the most overwhelming character may be happening daily in our midst, the professing

church may be passing through the several stages of departure, as "the way of Cain, . . . the error of

Balaam, . . . the gainsaying of Core;" but the soul's hiding

-

place from the strife of nations and the

divisions of Christendom is the unchanging and unchangeable love of the ever

-

blessed and

all

-

adorable Lord.

We must leave the reader

to apply the principles of Philadelphia and Laodicea to the professing

church of the present day, according to his spiritual judgment. The Philadelphian period has not

passed away, but we must be on our guard against the spirit of Laodiceanism which is spreading

rapidly among all classes of professing Christians.

May the good Lord keep both reader and writer near Himself until we see His face, hear His

voice, and be for ever in the full enjoyment of His love and His glory. Amen. (Millers Church History, page 1192).

Sunday Morning deposits being made?

The Sale of Indulgences

Leo the tenth ascended the papal throne in the year 1513. He was the third son of Lorenzo de' Medici, the Magnificent, and brought with him to the pontifical court the refined, luxurious, and expensive style of his family. Besides, Michael Angelo had furnished him with finished design of St. Peter's, which was then in progress, and greatly increased his expenditure. The important question now was, how to find money to complete the grand cathedral, and to replenish the papal treasury for the purposes of Leo's pontificate?

The letters of Luther to this pontiff are misleading. He seems not to have known Leo's character, though he had so much to do with him, they have all the appearance of flattery. While Leo has the reputation of being one of the most polished and cultivated men of his day, he was far from being even a moral man. His court was gay, he was devoted to pleasure, and utterly careless of the duties of religion. Compared with his immediate predecessors — the dissolute Alexander VI., whose name can never be mentioned without loathing — and the wild warrior-pope, Julius II., whose stormy career filled a great part of Europe with blood and massacres — compared, we say, with such popes, the person and court of Leo would present a favourable contrast; and Luther no doubt addressed him under his superstitious veneration for the head of the church, and because of his fame as a man of learning.

To meet the various and heavy expenses of the extravagant Leo, the cry for money became louder and louder. "Money! money!" was the cry. "It was money," says one, "not charity, that covered a multitude of sins." Necessity suggested that the price of indulgences should be lowered, and that clever salesmen should be employed to push the trade all over Europe. The plan was adopted; but God overruled the shameless traffic for the accomplishment of the Reformation, and for the overthrow of the despotism of Rome. Germany, it was agreed, should be the first and especially favoured place with the sale of indulgences, as the geographical position of the country might have prevented many of the faithful from reaping the advantages of the Jubilee in Rome.

The original idea of indulgences seems to have been nothing more than a shortening of the outward penance imposed on penitents by the payment of a fine, such as we have constantly decreed in our courts of law — say, "Fined in fifty pounds, or six months' imprisonment." If the money is paid, it is placed to the credit of the criminal, and he is released and receives his discharge. In like manner the poor deluded papist supposes that the indulgence which he buys is placed to his credit in the statute-book of heaven, which balances the account against him for lies, slanders, robberies, murders, and wickedness of all kinds; or, as some have compared it, to a letter of credit on heaven, signed by the pope, in consideration of value received. Of course, if the delinquent's sins are great and many, he must pay heavily for his indulgences.

This pardon system expanded, and was so worked by the priesthood, that it became the means of enormous wealth to the papacy. Works meet for repentance were demanded from the sinner — and all were sinners — works such as fasting, castigation, pilgrimages, and after death so many years in purgatory. But the sinner was reminded that the burden of these works might be removed, and the years of purgatorial fire shortened, through the power delegated by Christ to the blessed Peter and his successors, on certain conditions. The easiest of these conditions to the penitent, and the most convenient to the pope, was "money! money!" (Millers Church History, pages 724-725)

Our Spiritual "Bug-Out" inner bag!

It is quite easy to store metals, food, guns, ammo and even a good tent. However, as the end approaches and the demons are released from the pit, none of the external bug-out bags items will stand against the forces before us. Yes the early Church understood the power of evil and were successful in deliverance of the many:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Mark 5King James Version (KJV)

5 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Did we think that all the evil spirits left the planet when Jesus ascended? Did the fallen angels fly onward at that time? NOPE! The Church has been here to deal with these unclean demons from the beginning and more are coming. What we have within us is the only Force to expel the evil. Better is he who has the Spirit of God within, in these days, than he who has little faith in the Power of Christ. jmo Jim

Dear NW VIEW ...

Thank you for keeping us abreast of the news regarding Carol.

The Spirit of Christ tends the flame that burns in our spirits for our brethren. We cannot help but be concerned, but we are impotent ... except in prayer!

May Carol (SWM) find no bottom nor top in the Love of God; may she look for for a beginning and an end to His Faithfulness .. and find none! May she continue to cleave unto the Rock of her Salvation as we continue to groan, and wrestle, and weep and pray on her behalf. May the Heaven's know that we would help bear her family's (and her) burden, were it a possibility..or within the reach. If I could speak with Carol today, I would only echo my heart from 3 months ago:

JustDale wrote:

@ SWM: My Dear Sister under Our Common Head ... May this find you and yours content, gaining in Grace ..and casting mountains into the sea. "We are cast down, but we are not forsaken." Cleave to Christ harder than ever before, and 'treasure Him up in your heart'. He will not fail you and, soon enough, He shall gather you up into His bosom ...where suffering and tears will be vanquished for all Eternity.. where Joy, and Light, and Peace and Love only..forever..are. Be of good cheer, Carol, and faint not. That you know these things better than I do is a great comfort to me, and the cause of my confident rejoicing in the wisdom, goodness and faithfulness of our Everlasting Father. Amen.

My love, in Christ, to All!

"Father, Son and Spirit ... We bless thy Name, thrice-holy. Like children, we love Thee. Like sheep, we follow Thee. Like a bride-in-waiting, we anticipate the appearance of our Beloved, and the consummation of our faith.

Until then, Lord, supply us with thy Presence; sustain us by thy Power; refresh us with thy Promise(s); and remind us..always..of this: "Nevertheless, Father, thy will, not mine, be done."

Show Thyself strong on Carol's behalf, Lord. We cast her name before you like a man casting his cares before a King..who is a Friend..and, who cares. Lead us in paths of righteousness for your Name's sake ... Comfort us for ours." Amen.

Dear Carol ...

I just want you to know that you are heavy on my heart this evening.

May the Lord, Himself, be your ever-present help in times of trouble. May peace overpower your pain. May grace overpower your grief. May love overpower your longings. May faith overpower your faintings. May contentment overpower your concerns.

And, yes, what a joy it will be..one day..to meet you @ Table..where we will see Him as He is, and be like Him! "Worthy is the Lamb!" May I say it again?: "Worthy is the Lamb!" I must say it just once more: "Worthy is the Lamb!

"Lord, help me live like I mean it."

Dale the Just(ified)! ...who by, and in, the Spirit of Christ expresses his love for his Sister..and who also remembers the day that SWM & NWD became acquainted. It was/is a day that has enriched my soul ever since.

"Father, I thank Thee for Thy gifts, good and perfect." A-men.

The Church or the steeple house dilemma?

I received an e-mail from an old friend who was a member of the Brethren in his youth. I ponder if I should post it or just move onward. Will a picture be worth more than a thousand posts of warnings? My old friend J.D., only said one thing:"Your message to the Body for a generation". What will it take to awaken the blind assemblies? Is it just to late?

Oh well, here is the picture which is worth more than words:

SUBVERTING OUR NATION?

Free speech will get us in big trouble these days, however, it has always been this way. The majority say that they want to hear the views of all but quickly raise the fascism sticks and attack from all quarters. It is unfortunate that many forums herein have been destroyed by those unwilling to listen to differing views without attacks. However, this thread has been very tolerant for the many views over the years.

Jesus had His clashes with "free speech"!

Jesus Before Pilate and Herod (Luke 22)

66 At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and the teachers of the law, met together, and Jesus was led before them. 67 “If you are the Messiah,” they said, “tell us.”

Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe me, 68 and if I asked you, you would not answer. 69 But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God.”

70 They all asked, “Are you then the Son of God?”

He replied, “You say that I am.”

71 Then they said, “Why do we need any more testimony? We have heard it from his own lips.”

Luke 23:1-2

Then the whole assembly of them got up and conducted (Jesus) before Pilate. And they began to accuse Him, asserting, We found this Man perverting (misleading, corrupting, and turning away) our nation and forbidding to pay tribute to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), a King.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

From the beginning, a price must be paid to speak as the Spirit directs. If the True Church is ever completely muzzled, our testimony will also be muzzled. Has our "Christian Nation" the Nation of the "called out Ones", surrendered to the fascism of the entire world which is in the grips of citizens of hell? Romans 10: 9-10 has never been more needed than in our current era. It is not the world who will confess Him, however, the assemblies should have never stopped. jmo Jim
