I know this old guy who can't walk three blocks without having to empty his bladder. So one day, couldn't make it home, and went in the street. Cops gave him a big fine. Social security ain't an easy life.
So he goes to court. Judge asks innocent or guilty? Guy says, GUILTY with mitigating circumstances. Judge asks what are they? Guy says, I have no kidneys. True story. Former wall street broker and generally nuts. Judge says you haveno kidneys? dismissed.
(The guy always leaves out the part that the ticketing officer wasn't present either. But still makes for a funny story. )
From his first days as commander in chief, the drone has been President Barack Obama’s weapon of choice, used by the military and the CIA to hunt down and kill the people his administration has deemed — through secretive processes, without indictment or trial — worthy of execution. There has been intense focus on the technology of remote killing, but that often serves as a surrogate for what should be a broader examination of the state’s power over life and death.
DRONES ARE A TOOL, not a policy. The policy is assassination. While every president since Gerald Ford has upheld an executive order banning assassinations by U.S. personnel, Congress has avoided legislating the issue or even defining the word “assassination.” This has allowed proponents of the drone wars to rebrand assassinations with more palatable characterizations, such as the term du jour, “targeted killings.”
When the Obama administration has discussed drone strikes publicly, it has offered assurances that such operations are a more precise alternative to boots on the ground and are authorized only when an “imminent” threat is present and there is “near certainty” that the intended target will be eliminated. Those terms, however, appear to have been bluntly redefined to bear almost no resemblance to their commonly understood meanings.
The first drone strike outside of a declared war zone was conducted more than 12 years ago, yet it was not until May 2013 that the White House released a set of standards and procedures for conducting such strikes. Those guidelines offered little specificity, asserting that the U.S. would only conduct a lethal strike outside of an “area of active hostilities” if a target represents a “continuing, imminent threat to U.S. persons,” without providing any sense of the internal process used to determine whether a suspect should be killed without being indicted or tried. The implicit message on drone strikes from the Obama administration has been one of trust, but don’t verify.

Geolocation-Watchlist The Intercept has obtained a cache of secret slides that provides a window into the inner workings of the U.S. military’s kill/capture operations at a key time in the evolution of the drone wars — between 2011 and 2013. The documents, which also outline the internal views of special operations forces on the shortcomings and flaws of the drone program, were provided by a source within the intelligence community who worked on the types of operations and programs described in the slides. The Intercept granted the source’s request for anonymity because the materials are classified and because the U.S. government has engaged in aggressive prosecution of whistleblowers. The stories in this series will refer to the source as “the source.”
The source said he decided to provide these documents to The Intercept because he believes the public has a right to understand the process by which people are placed on kill lists and ultimately assassinated on orders from the highest echelons of the U.S. government. “This outrageous explosion of watchlisting — of monitoring people and racking and stacking them on lists, assigning them numbers, assigning them ‘baseball cards,’ assigning them death sentences without notice, on a worldwide battlefield — it was, from the very first instance, wrong,” the source said.
“We’re allowing this to happen. And by ‘we,’ I mean every American citizen who has access to this information now, but continues to do nothing about it.”
And the country is better off after letting the banks fail. Too bad we'll never see the pols inside the Beltway be that bold.
I had a similar cop experience where he said his radar clocked me speeding. It was my word against his so I automatically lost. As I was paying my fees, the next victim of this lying cop was being heard. He had a lawyer who asked for the calibration date of the radar. It was out of date-case dismissed. I spoke up and said I want what he got, and the judge retroactively dismissed my ticket also.
The point being that a technical violation is the best way to beat city hall. So you are right about the camera. If it was tampered with or if it was off in violation of policy, or erased, then you win.
I'll fill you guys in later, I just put together an epic post, which I just managed to lose. My new computer seems to have a bug in it.
After an hour of typing in the comments field, my computer froze, and I was not able to send it.
I couldn't copy and past it either. I've got some work to do. I have a good reason to believe that I am far from off the hook.
I will take the time to explain why tonight.
Enjoy your day.
......and maybe my neck of the woods is different than yours mr. Fix, in fact I know it is. With this in mind....I'm not sure if the mental anguish you're experiencing is actually worth the negative energy that's involved. But I can understand the desire to keep your insurance rates low
Secondly, you've not gotten any tickets in decades if I read you correctly and you have a stellar record, right?...get a haircut, dress nice, be polite, tell the 'honorable' whoever your story, stay calm and ask them to dismiss the charges....you don't go from being Mother Theresa to Charles manson in the blink of an eye....your 30 year clean driving record demonstrates the real you...the video, if you can get the correct full copy might be nice to have in your back pocket....logic, common sense will win
.....or maybe only the south is just like that....going in guns blazing seems risky...Good Luck regardless....if I was in your shoes and they looked at my driving record...I'd be taken to jail forever
hmmmm Planet X
Silver66 Rage against the dying of the light
I will be in Tucson 1/23 to deliver a short speech to the Libertarian State Convention there.
Let me rock Turdville, check out the home page "PLEDGE".
All of Turdville is invited to show up and crash the party,
screeching in unison, SURFER! SURFER! SURFER!
Here is last Saturday appearance in Concord NH.
Another thing to consider is the fact that the court can not hear oral presentation because you are assumed to be dead. It will be written somewhere on the court transcript "Mr Fix did not give oral presentation" it is on mine, and that is why everything you need to say should be in the form of a signed affidavit. Original wet ink signature is the proof thaat you are alive.. Notarised is best but can be costly.
I'm done working for today, so let's catch up.
For starters, I'm reasonably good at containing my emotions, remember, my sole role model for such things as a child was Mr. Spock from Star Trek. Of course, just suppressing how I feel or drowning my emotions chemically, does not serve me. I've chosen to deal with my life the best way I know-how, clean and sober, and it's something that I have acquired some experience with over the past few decades.
I will grant you that my bottled up anger often comes out with sarcastic sniping on my part, and taking the time to explore that my rage is just a manifestation of fear, goes a long way towards getting my own house in order.
That doesn't mean that I don't occasionally get wildly misinterpreted, those of you who I've been speaking with for the past few years, have a pretty good idea of where I'm coming from. If you're new, I'll grant you I take a little bit of getting used to.
As for the name-calling, particularly as it applies to authority figures, if you find it offensive, that's okay. It's taken a long time for the people on this thread to accept that when I call God a mythical imaginary sky daddy, I consider it a term of endearment, I know there's plenty of true believers here, and I don't wish to offend you in any way, I simply don't share your beliefs. Mythical imaginary sky daddy is solely a reflection of what I believe to be true.
The same line of thinking applies for our earthly versions of authority figures, I do not believe that any of them have any inherent legitimacy under natural laws, I truly believe that all of them, and the entire system that props them up is a form of mind control, and is inherently evil, and blatantly immoral, and repugnant to my sensibilities.
I truly believe that we're all created equal, meaning that no man has the right to govern any other man. As a man, I consider myself sovereign, to the extent that I am responsible for my own life, and I believe that ultimately, so is everyone else. Of course, many of us have been taught otherwise.
After the past few days of studying, and experiencing a sense of outrage and contempt for our "Criminal justice system”, and working to resolve my own long-term fears of dealing with it, (Ignoring it is no longer a strategy), I will work through role-playing to feign respect whenever I have to deal with these people, for the purpose of resolving this matter.
For our discussions, however, and I'm doing this for a reason, I want you to know that I truly have no respect for these people whatsoever, other than their ability to use deadly force, or lock me in a cage. I'm certain that many of you think otherwise. Maybe in time, with further research, your viewpoint may change.
So let's go over the primary actors in the situation that I find myself in. I have ascribed to each of them a "Term of endearment" which I think accurately describes them, I will take notes, and practice not using them in public. Such a slipup in a court room would not be to my benefit.
I might even consider dressing up for the charade, but cutting my hair which reaches nearly to my beltline is not an option. I don't own a suit, but I would consider going to the Salvation Army, and purchasing one, so I have my own costume for the show.
So let's start with the "deputy sherif"f who issued the tickets. I will for the purposes of our discussion refer to him as the lying sack of shit that he is.
In the near future, I will need to appear before a co-conspirator in this crime syndicate, the pompous megalomaniac dirt bag with the black robe seems to be an accurate appraisal of him. There will be a prosecutor, who I've known for at least 10 years as a criminal, Prior to being elected as such in this past election cycle, he pretended to be a dictator as our "town supervisor". This won't be the first time I've had a run in with him. District attorney is is his new proper title, but to me, he's just a criminal, criminal scumbag prosecutor. We could even call him criminal scum bag for short, but it might get confusing later on down the road as we add actors.
This morning, I did travel the 40 minutes to the far side of my county where the "County sheriffs office and correctional facility" is. It is a massive and grandiose compound surrounded by high barbed wire fences, with the nearest public parking a block away. I euphemistically refer to it as the pigpen.
I did fill out a freedom of information request, specifically asking for the two minutes prior to the video that I have already been given that literally starts approximately one second after I passed the lying sack of shit on the road. No one seemed to be able to answer a simple question like why it was that my previous request for the video of our cars are passing started immediately after that event.
I also requested in writing all "official procedures" regarding the use of Dashboard camera Recording equipment, with details as to how they are turned on and off, when, and why.
I noticed on the copy of the DVD that I had been issued yesterday, was the name of who had prepared it. When I asked the secretary if it would be possible to talk to that person, she said no, but said that I could talk to Sgt. shit for brains.
After waiting about 15 minutes for my appointment, he stood behind a bulletproof partition, and offered to answer any of my questions.
He had the copy of the freedom of information request that I had just submitted, and I already knew from telephones calls made yesterday, that this was the man, (and I use that term loosely,) responsible for making the decision whether such requests can be granted.
I asked him if there was any problem with the request as filed, and he said it looked like it was in order. I asked him if it was reasonable to expect to get the video after the five day waiting period, and he told me that procedures needed to be followed. I asked him if he was familiar with those procedures, and he said that he was. He went on to volunteer that there are procedures for open cases that need to be followed.
That's when I asked him if there was a reason why my previous request for a video specifically referring to our cars passing started almost immediately afterwards, and did not include the footage requested.
He accused me of being combative, which actually surprised me, I was showing him as much respect as I am capable of. I told him that I am quite new to this system, and have no experience with it. He told me that if I intend to plead innocent, I should file for a "supporting deposition" to be written by the lying sack of shit.
I replied, that I thought all I needed was the video I had requested.
So I asked him, (in the most polite manner possible)if it would be correct for me to assume that it is the policy of the pigpen goon squad to withhold exculpatory evidence even when it is in their possession, and requested. He accused me of being combative again.
I thanked him for his help, and told him that he had given me a lot of useful information that I needed.
My take away from this, is that there will be no exculpatory video, besides, if it ever came to light, it would be grounds to convict the lying sack of shit of perjury for issuing sworn complaints in the form of summonses to begin with.
They know that I know that they are full of shit.
They also know I am completely innocent, but things like that do not matter in a kangaroo court.
Well, it was going to come out sooner or later. It's better these things happen before I am in court.
I'll be bringing my MacBook Pro with me next week to pick up my freedom of information request, so I can view the footage on the spot, and if it still does not contain the footage I requested, I will file another freedom of information request documenting what "procedure” is.
Maybe I can even get Sgt. shit for brains to testify for my defense. I know he's a hostile witness, but I could still use that.
They are making sure this scenario remains a “He said/He said" between the lying sack of shit and myself.
In the meantime, life goes on, and we can get our focus back on important things like the end of the world as we know it. :)
If anyone finds this essay offensive, get over it. You've got a lot to learn about how the real world works.
Calling it fact based irreverent humor might begin to describe it. It's the best I can do for now.
Thank you for your input, it is much appreciated. Some strategies, I can adopt, others if I already know has zero chance of success, or will ultimately work against me, I will reject. I am still researching my options, but I am most definitely ruling out some of them. For example, " sovereign citizen", will get me thrown out of court. Although jurisdiction can be incorporated into a defense in a minor contribution, standing on it as a defense, is a sure fire loser.
I will be using multiple strategies to cross examine the lying sack of shit.
I am preparing for a trial, the particular nuances of my strategy are in development, but are beginning to coalesce, and subject to change as new information becomes available.
I've reviewed many approaches over the past few days, and I will consolidate it into one that I think I can actually pull off.
As a youngster, I've tried lawyers, and I know first hand, they are a total rip off, and virtually guarantee a conviction.
Yes, I can focus on procedural mistakes on their part, for example, the lying sack of shit wrote the wrong road on my appearance ticket, using the one he pulled me over on, and not the one where the alleged offenses occurred.
Combining the video I already have, and the appearance ticket will easily prove that one.
I know, I know, he's a young little lying sack of shit, and too new to the neighborhood to expect him to actually know where he was.
The problem being, this will probably go to an appeals court. Any strategy depends on either an honest judge, (both imaginary and mythical), or one that is genuinely concerned with being exposed as a fraud. From that angle, there are definite possibilities.
I'm working on it.
Find out through alternative sources - other pig pen or policy site... what procedure for Dash Cams is. in your state is.
Or I could call em as a purely independent bod... who hates awkward stubborn people.
please do some research into having a affidavit prepared by yourself and entered into the case file (properly recorded) before you go into court. In particular look up the significance of swearing out an oath for that affidavit before you enter it in the file
I respect the fight, wouldn't want to discourage you if you know it's your time to make a stand.
Small town, though? One vindictive cop alone could be a problem. Add a pissed off judge. Add a pissed off prosecutor.
And not to pry, but just what you've mentioned here points to the possibility of one or more pissed off (underbid?) licensed contractors. If these pieces stewed together somehow? Is a low profile better?
I'm merely suggesting that a vulnerability assessment might be in order. As it would be before any conflict, really.
First off, I have not as of yet offered you a cordial welcoming to this thread.
The core of this group here have been researching various issues for quite some time, and we are generally fairly like-minded.
That being said, most newcomers will find some of our assertions rather outrageous. Please take to heart that very little of the world is even remotely similar to the way you were taught it was. If you simply suspend your judgment of us long enough to do your own investigation, you will find us a very likable bunch.
It may also be quite educational.
I've been to the south, many times, I even lived for a few years in South Carolina. I can attest to the fact that southern hospitality is real, and virtually nonexistent in the New York metropolitan area.
I would be suspicious of my assertions too, as they pertain to my local law enforcement agencies, and I will except the possibility that there are others, somewhere else, that may not be quite as corrupt.
The system I have to deal with, is the textbook example of "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
Until someone challenges it, they pass themselves off as the absolute power, and I know these are truly evil men from personal past experience. That being said, it goes to follow that the local newspapers paint them as solid citizens, hard-working and benevolent, just trusted public servants. Some people even believe that crap.
Any request for them to dismiss the charges without a significant amount of leverage over them will be unsuccessful.
Their sole function is to extort as much money as possible from as many people as possible, through whatever means necessary. Their only possible boundary is what they think they can get away with.
They are all textbook examples of psychopaths, and appealing to them to do the right thing, will fall on deaf ears.
It would also violate who they are.
They know damn well I am innocent, they couldn't possibly care less. To them, it's "just business".
Assuming that these people have any conscience whatsoever, would not only be incorrect, but a sure fire way to get royally screwed.
After studying various strategies all night long last night, I can at least conceptualize a viable strategy.
That maybe why my sense of impending doom, combined with terror and hopelessness has significantly subsided today.
There is still much work to do.
Thank you for your suggestions, but Andy Taylor does not run my sheriff's department.
My drivers license is at stake, I'm not bringing this fight to them, they brought it to me.
I probably already lost my low-profile this morning at the pigpen.
A contractor who can't drive to work isn't worth anything.
It will play out the way it is meant to, I'm just along for the ride.
Bingo. They are turning knobs and flipping switches as fast as they can. Sell 3 buckets of Netflix coupon codes for a donkey and then sell the donkey for a pallet of paper clips that can be melted down to make a steel cage to catch the monkey that keeps scaring away the postman who might have a birthday card from Grandma with some cash in it. It's Science.
I am from the UK originally and in my younger days I was , how shall we say... a tad more reckless. Who am I kidding- it was a wild time ;-) Actually I was doing 90 mph in a 30 limit after spending several hours in a nightclub, was street racing one of my buddies whilst simultaneously being chased by the cops. There was ICE on the roads and I had only cleared a few square inches of ice off the windscreen to squint out of. I lost it on a bend, went backward over a car which was parked on the other side of the street and eventually came to rest upside down (a long way away). Anywho...my point being: they through the book at me. BUT even though I had a LOT of points on my license, because it was all the same offence (incident), I never got banned because only the highest offence was counted in that regard. Yes yes... Bad Bugzy... What I am appalled at is that you could technically lose the roof over your head because some cop makes up some lies. Lose license, not able to work, no pay death hand (mortgage). Completely and utterly nutz... no wonder they want to take your guns away. This man who works for you (as a peace officer) has the ability to destroy your life's work through a work of fiction?
"This man who works for you (as a peace officer) has the ability to destroy your life's work through a work of fiction??
Yup, how do you think we actually earned the worlds highest incarceration rate? Hint:
Americans really aren't bad people. From my perspective, most are just hopelessly naïve.
We call it the land the of free here, so nobody sees it coming. Mums the word. :)
With a thorough understanding of Agenda 21, it all makes perfect sense.
This is an agenda driven town. There is an epidemic of people losing their homes here, for a broad variety of reasons. They are systematically replaced with section 8(Government housing). The town steals your property, and then good old Uncle Sam pays them a fortune to house the immigrants in it.
In just this year, there is a greater influx of new students that can't speak English, then every year prior combined.
Some day, I'll post a diatribe on all of the layers of corruption going on here, I've just barely scratched the surface.
The layers of corruption involved in just my single case are staggering. At least I'm taking the trouble to uncover it now, instead of waiting for the dog and pony show at the kangaroo court.
They operate in secrecy taking down one homeowner at a time, and I am trying to brainstorm a way of making this as public as possible. Another hint: The mainstream press will be of no value whatsoever.
