Basically policy is unch so

Basically policy is unch so we should see everything drift back to trend. Probably take rest of day though with follow through into tomorrow for end of week. Ho-hum. I really thought there was a 70/30 they would raise rates.

No rate increase is friendly for the metals, although i agree the metals will go down in the next few days, my hope is that it finds some strong support and starts a mild uptrend, big enough and long enough to withstand when the rates are raised.

Ah...we'll see. Having been washed out of three of my last four trades, I'm pretty chill on things overall.

But a test of 14.50 shouldn't be too hard, even if she doesn't run under. A test of 14 ain't impossible either. But I'm really looking for the dam to break under 14, not for a second do I think we're done with all that :)

Got my stop at 15.66 and a buy order at 14.50, short term I think those are good. Not going against the 3-4 yr down trend line, so under $14 certainly is not out of the question.

Made a couple nice currency trades. The AUD/USD and USD/CAD spiked then returned like nothing happened, but the USD/JPY and the EUR/USD spiked and stayed. Its all foreign to me, but oh well. Some of my charts actually worked for me today. Lets just hope the S&P starts back down again.

Jumped

Jumped back into SDS in the old 42K late Friday -- guessing next week will be a week of decline.

Nice to see Ag back up off the bottom a little. I am no longer inclined to look for trend changes in these rallies, however.

Currently the premarket is sitting on the bottom of this fork.

Could be a nice up from here.

Nice call on the SDS! I didn't have the guts looking at my charts.

What are you using to help you make your trades?

Crazy guesswork and

Crazy guesswork and stupidity. Don't follow me, I'm lost smiley

I just think, looking at about a 1-year timeframe, E.G.,

SP futures

Give or take what MA says, the chart since Aug 19 looks like the beginning of a much bigger decline to me. Planning to hang onto SDS for several weeks.

(but will abandon position if it shoots up through 2000 again)

Yes turning out good, but I'm jealous of your position @ 15.25 grrr.

Now let's find out what happens at 14.50. For now I'm hanging on with my 'higher high' stop in place and may add under 14.50 (or not, very undecided). Should we fail a re-test of 14, I'm definitely adding there. Some of this is a function of EUR collapse, which may be due for a 'headline bounce' at any time :(

GSR

Daily view shows series of higher highs and higher lows completing. So the shorter than annual bear trend is still on. A higher high will give us 80+ again. That would be something I'd have to buy (silver) into. Bullion that is :)

Your fork

OK, I'm convinced. Looks like S&P isn't going to make that big cliff dive yet.

Your fork convinced me to take profit on about half of that SDS.

Updated

I don't know anything, but these chart are helping a bit, of course we know anything could happen. I bought a little bit of UPRO today, near the lows.

I put a couple other lines in but they have no validation but i want to keep my eyes on it to see if a downtrend is forming. If we can get up to 1988 and drop from there in the next couple days, I will certainly share my thoughts.

Technical Analysis

Based on the recent past (past few years), there's a very good chance it will bounce back in the morning. Short squeeze, PPT, whatever you want to call it.

But if China and / or the JPY make any dramatic moves overnight...
