THREAD OF FAITH -
New International Version
LORD, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.
New Living Translation
O LORD, they pay no attention to your upraised fist. Show them your eagerness to defend your people. Then they will be ashamed. Let your fire consume your enemies.
English Standard Version
O LORD, your hand is lifted up, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people, and be ashamed. Let the fire for your adversaries consume them.
New American Standard Bible
O LORD, Your hand is lifted up yet they do not see it. They see Your zeal for the people and are put to shame; Indeed, fire will devour Your enemies.
King James Bible
LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.
Matthew 23King James Version (KJV)
23 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
How has the s.h. avoided this direct teaching of the Lord? Jim
There is so much time given to the study of the ten commandments. Some steeple houses would not know what to do if they quit teaching these commandments given to the Jews. We know of the famous judge who wanted to keep these ten commandments on the court house property. In a way, that was nice and in another way, blind to the Truth. Therefore, I will list a better view of what should be placed around the nation and the world. The steeple houses would gain much if they would upgrade their studies from the old covenant people and finally come into the New Covenant, in Christ alone. It may take me awhile to copy and paste my ten and I really need about twenty:
AVENUES TO FREEDOM
John 4:13-14King James Version (KJV)
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
John 10:10-11King James Version (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
John 14:6King James Version (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 16:33King James Version (KJV)
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Matthew 22:37-40King James Version (KJV)
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 7:12King James Version (KJV)
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Matthew 5:43-44King James Version (KJV)
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Luke 5:31-32King James Version (KJV)
31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Mark 8:34-37King James Version (KJV)
34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Matthew 19:14King James Version (KJV)
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Now there is a list that could get me to shouting, right upon the court house steps. Jim
Matthew 16:1-4New International Version (NIV)
The Demand for a Sign
16 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
2 He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ 3 and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.[a] 4 A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.
We are now living in very interesting times. Judgment is falling everywhere. The NFL is falling apart, Hollywood is being exposed for their sins which have piled to the sky. The former presidents are being exposed of their corruptions and Mrs. Clinton is being exposed for who she really is. The corruption within the religious systems of men are also being exposed as they have long ago departed from "It is Written".
How much time do we have for avoiding true repentance? Have we lost every ounce of discernment or did we ever have any? How long will the believers avoid the Words of Jesus and His apostles, while doing what the enemy has set within them? The days of conflict are here and nothing will stop them. Decades of warnings have not changed the direction of blinded believers and our house has been left to us as desolate. When all the world systems fall in a heap, where will the assembly gather? Pray that we will find true elders, outside the divided steeple house systems of men, who will focus upon the Light of Life while there is still time. Jim
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
I was encouraged to hear from William Mumma of https://www.becketlaw.org/
They are aggressive defenders of religious freedom in the courts..and they win! (Think Hobby Lobby and Little Sisters of the Poor)
becketlaw vetted all of Trump's judicial appointments to Appellate and District courts and Mumma called them "outstanding" in their support of religious freedom.
There are many revolutions that are aflame in America. From politics to Hollywood, the people are finally waking up to the evil which has set up their shops, even within our home lives. When will the "revolution" begin in the "House of God"?
Will we need to wait for the removal of the wicked, leaving the planet, to be occupied by the Church? Will we then gather together, having weeks of book burning parties, hammers to break apart the idols that are seen as Christian art, and months of gathering the costumes of the priestcraft, taken to the landfills? How long will it take to burn the books within so-called Christian Book Stores who will sell anything that is popular? Judgment is coming!
In the past, we have been invited to the homes of believers who wanted help in "cleaning their house" of spiritual idols. There are times when you need several garbage cans. I am tempted to make a good list, of the demonic trash, that many have brought home, learning idol worship from their steeple house system, of fallen believers.
Oh well, Lord Jesus, how we need a True Revolution via Revelation of Who You are and what You have instructed us to do and to be. Jim
We must remember the Words of Jesus and not just read them. Placing those funds in a system may buy a new bus or an organ but the needy are still needing you:
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Matthew 25 kjv
A bout 1524, in Germany, many of the churches of brethren, such as had existed from the earliest times, and in many lands, repeated what had been done at Lhota in 1467; they declared their independence as congregations of believers and their determination to observe and to carry out as churches the teachings of Scripture. As formerly at Lhota, so now on these occasions those present who had not yet as believers received baptism by immersion were baptized. This gave rise to a new name, a name which they themselves repudiated, for it was attached to them as an offensive epithet in order to convey the impression that they had founded a new sect; the new name was Anabaptist (baptized again). As time went on this name was applied also to certain violent people of Communistic practices and principles subversive of order and morality. With these the brethren had no sort of connection; but by branding them with the same name, those who persecuted the brethren obtained an appearance of justification, as though they were suppressing dangerous disorder. As in earlier times the literature of the Christians had been destroyed, and their histories written by their enemies, so in the 16th century the same thing was done again, and in view of the unbridled violence of language common at that time in religious controversy, it is index 143 Toc HUBMEYER more than ever necessary to search out whatever remains of their own writings and records. In the report of the Council of the Archbishop of Cologne about the “Anabaptist movement", to the Emperor Charles V, it is said that the Anabaptists call themselves “true Christians", that they desire community of goods, “which has been the way of Anabaptists for more than a thousand years, as the old histories and imperial laws testify." At the dissolution of the Parliament at Speyer it was stated that the “new sect of the Anabaptists" had already been condemned many hundred years ago and “by common law forbidden." It is a fact that for more than twelve centuries baptism in the way taught and described in the New Testament had been made an offence against the law, punishable by death. The general reviving stirred by the Renaissance brought many of the assemblies of believers who had been driven into hiding by persecution to show themselves again. An ecclesiastical edict issued in Lyons against one of the brethren said, “Out of the ashes of Waldo many new shoots arise and it is necessary to impose a severe and heavy punishment as an example." Many believers emerged, too, from the Swiss valleys; they called each other brethren and sisters, and were well aware that they were not founding anything new, but were continuing the testimony of those who for centuries had been persecuted as “heretics", as the records of their martyrs showed. Pastor John Robinson
by Pastor Clinton Macomber
John Robinson was born in 1575, but his parents and upbringing are unknown. He was probably from Nottinghamshire, England, and graduated at Cambridge. Becoming a separatist pastor in Nottinghamshire before 1607, he renounced the honors and degrees that were conferred on him.
His first pastorate was as a Puritan in Norfolk, and he had problems with complying with the ceremonies, and vestments; often either omit them or modify them in his services. The National Church authorities annoyed and persecute him until he was suspended.
He then settled in Norwich where he assembled a group of Puritans, and many of the worshippers were fined and imprisoned for attending his meetings. During the years as pastor there, he continued to struggle with various aspects of church practice and continued to modify things to become more Biblical. Although suspended from the National Church, he continued to seek to retain his position in the Established Church, and just modify things so that he could fit back in with the group. Finally, he realized there was no chance to “purify” the government religion, and the only choice there was to do was to separate completely from it.
In 1604 he officially left Norwich, England, and resigned his fellowship with Cambridge, becoming a Separatist formally. The king and bishops were determined to imprison, fine and banish all who did not conform to their system of religion. He went to Lincolnshire, and found a number of Separatists that would meet together as long as they could escape detection from their persecutors.
There were two Separatist churches in the area, and Mr. Robinson joined up as an assistant to Pastor Clyfton, and they met at Mr. Brewster’s mansion. Mr. Brewster would supply the needs of those attending, at a great cost to himself. The residence was in Scrooby. At the same time, James I was King, and he boldly sought out the Separatists to extinquish them from the Kingdom. Unable to hide from the spies any longer, the other Separatist church in the area led by Pastor Smyth, fled to Holland, and arrived in 1606. A few months later Pastor Clyfton and some of his church joined them. John Robertson stayed in Lincolnshire and pastored the folks unable to make it to Holland.
The persecutions however in England did not subside and those remaining made three attempts at escaping. In their first attempted they were betrayed by the Captain of the ship, and all their assets and valuables were seized. After about a month in prison, they were released but seven of their leaders were to appear in court for sentencing.
The second attempt to leave was interrupted. After several hours of delay in boarding a ship, most of the men had finally gotten on board, and the sailors were getting ready to go for another load, when they saw an army approaching and set sail and fled. Some of their members escaped, others were sent from court to court, but not knowing what to do with so many helpless, homeless, and poor people, they were released.
Other attempts were made and succeeded. It was a great day of rejoicing when the members all were united in Holland, having overcome great adversity and depravation in the attempts. John Robinson left with the last group and arrived in Leyden, Holland, in 1609. There were about 100 members in the church and they were joined in their emigration by many other refugees.
The time in Holland was a time of learning to survive as refugees, learning how to govern themselves, and learning the importance of living in a culture that inspires holiness instead of atheistic secularism. It was also a time when they learned more about old Baptist doctrine from the Anabaptists and Mennonites in the area, bringing great changes to the congregation.
The Farewell Fast of Leiden, July 21, 1620
The Pilgrims had left England because of religious persecution, and had gone to Leiden, Holland, where they found it very difficult making a living, and the secularized society was having a negative effect on their children. They decided they had no choice but to try to extricate themselves from Holland and seek freedom in their own community in a new land. They were fully aware of the dangers of this venture which included not only trying to survive attacks from savage Indians, but also the real probability they would have to stand their ground by fighting attacks from Spain or France, or even other Englishmen. They also knew they would be enduring great privation because they would be far removed from aid, supplies and protection.
The extraordinary Pastor John Robertson called for a day of fasting and prayer before a large group from his church was to leave. His text was from Ezra where God’s people had faced a similar dilemma about 2300 years earlier.
Ezra 8:21-22 Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance. For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.
“We are now ere long to part asunder, and the Lord knoweth whether ever he should live to see our faces again. But whether the Lord had appointed it or not, he charged us before God and his blessed angels, to follow him no further than he followed Christ; and if God should reveal anything to us by any other instrument of his, to be as ready to receive it, as ever we were to receive any truth by his ministry; for he was very confident the Lord had more truth and light yet to break forth out of his holy word. He took occasion also miserably to bewail the state and condition of the Reformed churches who were come to a period in religion, and would go no further than the instruments of their reformation. As for example, the Lutherans, they could not be drawn to go beyond what Luther saw; for whatever part of God’s will he had further imparted and revealed to Calvin, they will rather die than embrace it. And so also, saith he, you see the Calvinists, they stick where he left them, a misery much to be lamented; for though they were precious shining lights in their times, yet God had not revealed his whole will to them; and were they now living, saith he, they would be as ready and willing to embrace further light, as that they had received. Here also he put us in mind of our church covenant, at least that part of it whereby we promise and covenant with God and one another to receive whatsoever light or truth shall be made known to us from his written Word; but withal exhorted us to take heed what we received for truth, and well to examine and compare it and weigh it with other Scriptures of truth before we received it. For saith he, it is not possible the Christian world should come so lately out of such thick antichristian darkness, and that full perfection of knowledge should break forth at once.”
After the day of solemnities were ended, on July 22, those staying behind in Leyden put on a feast for the members that were leaving. They then sang songs, being very expert in music, raising an amazing chorus together. Then made their way to the port with the townspeople gathering, but no one was able to say a word over the deep sorrow they all felt at being separated. The folks leaving boarded the ship and set sail, firing a volley of small shot and exploding three pieces of ordinance. The two groups then prayed for each other and experienced the “joy of grief” that God had sent his provisions and blessings to begin a new colony.
Yet today, multiple millions of fiat dollars , will be sent to blinded systems of men and devils, as they await the day that the Books are opened, for an accounting. That day will be one of weeping. Jim
We were teaching at a men's camp in Tulsa, on the last day of Oct., 1981. We were taken to the ORU campus for a morning meal, meeting with the steeple house leaders, the t.v. preachers and all of the famous stars of priestcraft. I really did not know what was happening, however, a great free meal sounded really good.
We were taken for a private meal in the new ORU hospital which was going to be dedicated that Sunday morning, Nov. 1, 1981. I walked through some doors, saw many famous ones, a grouping of interesting people, most of which I had only seen on so-called "Christian television". Oh what a meal, a spread, and I did enjoy the meal. Then it happened. Someone came to me, gave me a ribbon to wear, and I was informed that anyone with this ribbon would be sitting on the platform at the televised dedication of the hospital. I was told that I was really blessed to have this honor.
I handed the ribbon back, finished my meal, headed for the door, called a cab and flew out of the mess. I just never fit. That inner Voice will always give direction "if" we will pray, listen and do what we know is upon the Pathway that leads to Life in Christ Jesus as Lord.
HAS ANYONE GIVEN YOU A RIBBON, A TITLE, A ROBE, A COSTUME, A DEGREE, OR EVEN A PHD IN RELIGION?
Back when the PK movement began, I lost friends over this man made system. The following article does point out some basic problems but the blinded men, still gathered by the thousands. If someone starts a movement, PK, FGBMFI, Women's Aglow, etc., there will be some good fruit and some bad. Without discernment, one will fall into a trap of building up the divisions, continuing the clergy/layman false divisions and placing their funds into the blinded machine while walking past those in need. I will not comment on the article but nothing has changed from the detours of the early Church. Jim
