Apathy

Well it would seem that we in Canada are much safer this week as a bill has just been passed to spy on us all - to catch ALL those terrorists of course.

There seems to be a push to stop us using cash. We will then literally be that number. The beast risen....yada yada. If they ban cash you can forget about protecting yourself with Gold and Silver.

They will control everything. Even accounts from the local supermarket with have to balance with inventory and digits on a computer.

But NOT just US or Canada or ..... no this is a world in lock step.

This march is relentless.... "the jackboot stamping on your face forever".

Yet I hear nothing on these pages - perhaps those behind the (pay) wall who are on guard - the knights watch - because winter is coming!

I do wonder is Turd leaves Zman to roam free because he is good for Turd feeding? I even considered jumping the wall myself just to escape the little wanker.

Not sure what to say or do anymore. I guess I could go all spiritual and claim some higher plain of existence and that this earthly stuff is beneath me....seems to work for some.

Off for a top up. Hi to usual folk - fix, dags, ag, lots more.

@ Bugzy LOL! Apathy? What An Unusual Name For Your Cat...

Nevertheless, we thank your cat all the same for finally managing to drag you back in herewink

So this is interesting, just as the Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against the NSA, Canada passes it own Animal Farm version to amuse their Perverts In Government (PIG) surprise

Question: Do you know why there are so many Perverts working in Gov't?

Answer: Nobody else will hire them!

laugh

I cannot speak as to Canada, however I do not see any high probability of banning cash in the U.S., since it would merely lead to a massive rise in black markets, sticky finger discounts at supermarkets, civil unrest and possibly bands of armed thugs hijacking supermarket deliveries in route to the stores.

Go ahead and try and shut that sh*t down nationwide.

And undoubtedly by then the Sheople will be so totally fed up with the Banksters, there simply would not be enough fire trucks to man all of their branches, and their employees would suddenly decide it was wiser to simply not show up for work anymore.

In any event, Gold and Silver Coin will always be Money, ergo always have Value.

As for your cat Apathy, perhaps rename same Appreciation, since appreciation leads to Action, and action always trumps sitting on One's a** when the world is going to hell in a handbasket.

Here's a toast to that "earthly stuff" which in not too "beneath" us to enjoy while we are here. angel

Cheers!

Hi Rex

Still lurk a lot here. Been busy re training for different career.

I do miss the energy since the great wall divided us.

I also miss my arguments with Steph - she was clever and nuts at the same time. Likable, persuasive and bonkers (at times).

Did a walk today called the "grouse grind" (look it up), my back legs are shouting - WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST ASK ME TO DO? soo... consequently another slug (or 2) of "bookers" bourbon....

Hope to sleep like a baby..... (wake up crying every two hours and find I have pooped my pants) ;-)

Hope I can walk tomorrow.

Take care.

Bugzy.

Eight police officers, 14 gunmen killed in Macedonia clashes

Eight police officers and 14 members of an "armed group" were killed in a day-long gun battle in an ethnic Albanian suburb of northern Macedonia, the government said on Sunday, violence that added a dangerous twist to months of political crisis.

Sporadic gunfire on Sunday, more than 24 hours after the police operation began, subsided by early afternoon and flat-bed trucks towed away several lightly-damaged armoured vehicles.

The suburb in Kumanovo, 40 km (25 miles) north of the capital Skopje in a region that saw heavy fighting during an ethnic Albanian insurgency in 2001, remained locked down by special police units.

Interior Ministry spokesman Ivo Kotevski told a news conference 37 police officers were also wounded. He said no civilians were reported killed.

The government declared two days of national mourning and President Gjorge Ivanov summoned a meeting of the national security council, inviting leaders of the opposition and the main ethnic Albanian parties in a gesture of unity.

The events, however, will deepen concern in the West over stability in the impoverished Balkan country, where the government is on the ropes over allegations by the main opposition, the Social Democrats, of illegal wire-tapping and widespread abuse of office.

Protesters demanding the resignation of conservative Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski clashed with police last week and the opposition is threatening to rally thousands on May 17.

Observers fear political leaders on either side may try to stoke ethnic tensions as leverage.

'Infiltrated'

Albanians in Kumanovo were deeply sceptical of the official version of Saturday's events.

"This is pure manipulation," said 40-year-old unemployed man Elham Murad, who fled his home in the Kumanovo suburb after fighting broke out. He said he had seen nothing unusual in the days leading up to the police operation, bar an unmanned drone flying above the town the day before.

"This is a stunt by Gruevski to cover up Zaev's revelations," he said. Asked if he would attend the May 17 protest, Murad replied: "I'll go, dead or alive."

Police said on Saturday they had acted on information about gunmen planning "terrorist acts" having "infiltrated" the country from a neighbouring state, without saying which. Explosions and heavy automatic gunfire rang out and black smoke rose above the town. Some residents left, carrying their belongings in bags.

Macedonia has previously identified armed men in the country as coming from neighbouring Kosovo, which is majority-Albanian and broke from Serbia in war in 1999.

An estimated 30 percent of Macedonia's 2 million people are ethnic Albanians. Guerrillas took up arms in 2001, clashing with security forces before the West brokered a peace deal offering the Albanian minority greater rights and representation and the insurgents entered government.

But implementation has been slow and tensions sometimes flare. Many citizens, regardless of ethnicity, are frustrated at the slow pace of development and integration with the West. Macedonia's bid to join the European Union and NATO is blocked by a long-running dispute with Greece over the country's name.

What's there to say about oil? The price went from 100 down to 40 and now it trades at 60, it's still down -40% from its recent high.

The point is that the US dollar buys much more oil then it did just 1 year ago, that's not what "experts" in the gold sector were saying 1-2 years ago, the US dollar still works just fine.

I know so many of the gold bugs think the US dollar is going to be worthless someday, but that's never going to happen, it may trade lower relative to some currencies in the decades ahead, but that's a very long time away.

You are still blind -Let me

You are still blind -

Let me write it large again as you clearly can't read. Prices for gas in The US are some 30% HIGHER than they were a mere 11 years ago....even with the cherry picked bullshit dates you choose and don't go putting in your self serving narrative either.

Tell you what, since 2008 gas prices are 70 % higher - see what I did there ? That's you pal and no one is falling for it.

It's a nightmare for you when

It's a nightmare isn't it when this happens to be thrown in against a 30% rise in gas prices in the last 11 years - your premise just fades away.......but I'm sure the average citizen thinks that you are 100% right as they don't bother to check either.

Commenting on the Census Bureau report, economist Ben Casselman wrote that U.S. median household income was "...9 percent lower than at its peak in 1999, and essentially unchanged since the end of the Reagan administration." The recovery from the 2007-2009 recession had not translated into higher incomes for the typical American family.[

Oh the pissing matches are comical to sasy the least.

No one wins! Learned long ago to post your opinion and give the crowd the right to post there's. If as it is said, it is a right to express your opinion and everyone has a sphincter which blows hot gases. Ya gotta know that when you stack real money the attacks will come out in force. No one who lives a lie wants the truth of fiat exposed,(WORTHLESS), and certainly no truth in religion in knowing who and what we worship, so we as a people can do it in Spirit and TRUTH! Kill the truth and live the lie. Ever so been as our firsts parents were confronted by the great deceiver the father of lies. Each individual makes their own choices and need live now and forever with'em. You discover truth on your own and anyone who wants to follow need discover it the same way you did by going to the source. Little wonder prayer not in schools. Who else but the father of lies would want any child believing in asking one can and will receive; knocking and the door is opened. What a godless society as things pertaining to TRUTH. Plenty to worship as the world gets in your face and is led carefully down to hell.

Germany’s Schaeuble says Greek referendum could help

BRUSSELS: German finance minister Wolfgang Schaeuble raised the prospect Monday of Greece holding a referendum on its EU-IMF bailout, saying it could finally resolve the drawn-out crisis.

Schaeuble's comments came ahead of the latest meeting of eurozone finance ministers aimed at thrashing out a deal with Greece's new leftist government.

"If the Greek government thinks it should have a referendum, then it should organize a referendum," Schaeuble told reporters in Brussels.

Turkish ship officer killed in attack off Libyan coast

ANKARA, May 11 (Xinhua) -- The third officer of a Turkish cargo ship has been killed and several others among the crew injured in an attack on their vessel off the Libyan coast, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

The ship, named "Tuna 1," was shelled from land while it was 13 miles away from the Libyan coast near the port of Tobruk, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The ship was attacked two times from the air as it was trying to leave the area, the statement said.

Ankara lodged a protest and demanded that the Libyan authorities end actions against the security of other Turkish ships in the region, according to the statement.

In the past, Libyan Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni accused Ankara of interfering in Libya's domestic affairs, including providing support for the renegade government.
