The US economic picture worsens by the day.

It's not just a river in Nebraska. The current state of the US economy could now be described as "dismal", at best.

Each day, we chronicle the string of US economic datapoints that are released. Occasionally, a datapoint will surprise and actually come in above "expectations". However, the vast majority of these snapshots in 2019 have been awful to lousy. All of these, combined with the inverted yield curve, assure that The Fed will CUT the fed funds rate once...or maybe even twice...later this year.

Today was the busiest day of the week for datapoints...
