The No Fun Zone

Maybe by next week we'll have fun again. This week? Not so much.

Tue, Jan 22, 2019 - 10:43am

Well, here we are in another one of those no-fun periods where prices have stalled, momentum has reversed and some Specs are getting washed. It came earlier than expected and we have the BLSBS to blame for that. Let's begin today by attempting to assess where we go from here.

In yesterday's podcast, we started to go down this road. Since November, we've been adamant that a year-end 2018 and Q1 2019 rally would take CDG to $1310 and CDS to $16.30. And we were well on our way, too, with rate CUT possibilities creeping into the fed funds forecasting as soon as March.
