Fool me once, shame on you...

Wed, Sep 10, 2014 - 9:40pm

I awoke on Tuesday morning, September 9th 2014 to a howling windstorm. It was wonderful, snuggling under warm blankets, watching the clouds pass by the pine trees and over the hills through our bedroom window as the sun peeked over the Eastern horizon, slipping its orange light beneath the layers of clouds to illuminate the mountainside.

I should have stayed in bed.

But I dutifully arose and stumbled downstairs to fire up my trading platform, make some coffee, and to see how badly metals were hit overnight. While I was waiting, I clicked on the local news, just because, and saw the story of flooding in Phoenix Arizona.

Phoenix Arizona is in the Arid Zone. That’s the f-ing desert for you tenderfeet out there. It barely rains in the desert and it certainly does not flood. I grew up there. I oughtta know. I was immediately suspicious of the veracity of this hasty report. But photographs never lie and there indeed was the flood.

The illogicity of the incongruent situation caused my Aristotilian wheels to turn with greater acceleration than from my usual caffeine jolt. As I pondered this development, I recalled the stories of a large UFO that overflew Phoenix one night in 1997. I quickly put two and two and three together (that makes seven) and saw the obvious connection!

The newsgirl said this flood was attributable to the leftovers of a hurricane. Sheesh! Hurricane my arse! Phoenix does not get hurricanes, Miami, Galveston and Bangkok do. Phoenix gets haboobs (no, not the kind of boobs you may be envisioning right now), and haboobs certainly do not bring moisture. That indisputable fact dispelled all my doubts. Something big is up. I quickly put on my foil-lined critical thinking cap and came to the only logical conclusion. It has to be HAARP! I never believed they were shutting down the program and neither do the honorable, mutated residents of Fukushima believe it. So I ran back upstairs and tried to wake up my wife.

“Not now honey, I’m tired.”

“No, not that,” I said, “It’s here, this is it, the big one.” She rolled over and looked at me through sleepy eyes.

I continued, “The collapse! It has finally happened and they’re covering it up with a hurricane caused by a harp, and UFOs too. We gotta go to Walmart and stock up with hot pockets before the free shit army strips the place bare.

“Camping again? You take care of things,” she said, “I need more sleep.”

So I leaped into action, got dressed with my prepper vest and special hat, and fished around under the mattress for our stash of fiat. I ran outside and hooked up our trailer. Then I opened the septic lid and pulled out my bucket. After cleaning it, and myself, with the hose, I headed to town and went directly to the LCS to GSR my metal. They were still closed.

Next stop was Walmart. They were open. It took a while, but as I rolled my thirteenth cart through checkout, the incredulous cashier said, “What are you doing? Feeding an army?”

“I hope not” I replied. I handed her my credit card, again, with a sly smirk knowing I’d never have to pay that thing off after the EMPs went off. Card accepted! Bingo! I was home free. Diligence to the news pays off!

As I rolled up on front of the LCS with my trailer load of food, the proprietor called his son to the window where he stood to admire my emergency prepping. I saw him say something to his son. I carried my bucket inside and announced, “I’m buggin out. Need to convert to gold.”

“What’s goin on,” he asked?

I winked as I said the words slowly… “Haven’t you seen the news? There was a hurricane in Phoenix. Yeah! Uh huh, not hard to put the pieces together for guys like us.”

He nodded back, slowly at first, but then with that look of understanding in his eyes. Meanwhile his son was updating the exchange rates on the blackboard. He gave his dad the OK signal. His dad winked back and turned to me with his price: “I can give you $5 under spot for the silver and our premium on generic gold rounds is $300.”

I didn’t have time for a protracted negotiation like last time when I got him to lower the premium to $200 and give me a dollar more for the silver (yes, I can negotiate well when I must). I quickly agreed and left the store with my metal safely tucked away in an Altoids can stuffed in the secret front pocket in my tighty whities.

Next thing we needed was organic, grass fed, venison! After arriving back at home, I went into the forest behind the house and set out a salt block, a bucket of water, and flung Oreo cookies all around to chum them into firing range. Deer love those things. I put on my camo, climbed the tree with my trusty friend and its unlimited round clip. It didn’t take long. I saw some movement, shot and missed. Then I aimed through the scope and noticed it was the neighbor’s golden retriever sniffing around. I held my fire.

An hour later, a small herd cautiously moseyed forward, taking the bait. I took careful aim at a hefty trophy buck and this time I didn’t miss. I put at least ten rounds in him as leapt away. Good thing “Ole Bessie” converts to automatic with the flip of a switch!

After dragging the large doe back to the house—about 50 yards—I went inside to get my butcher’s tools. But the doorbell rang. I peeked outside through the blinds and found myself eye to eye with a policeman. “Play it cool,” I whispered to nobody in particular.

I hollered out through the door, “Just a minute, I just got out of the shower.” I ran out back, set the medium sized doe in a chair at the patio table, flung a blanket over her bloody body, put my wife’s gardening cap on her head and set a coffee cup on the table with an open bible. I ran back in, dunked my head under the kitchen faucet, put my bathrobe over my bloody camos and opened the door. (I was hoping that they didn’t notice my boots).

“How may I help you?” I said in my best Verizon call center voice.

“Sir, we have a report of some shots fired just a while ago. Did you hear anything?

“You know officer, I did hear a few shots out in the forest. I think it was the neighbor’s kid, four doors down, practicing with his new rifle again! My wife heard it too while she was out back at the patio reading her bible.”

The second officer peeked over our side gate for a glimpse of the patio area with my clever decoy.

He looked back at his partner, shrugged and nodded. “Can you give us an address?”

“Sure thing officer. Glad to do my civic duty.” I kept cool as he wrote down the address.

After they left, I quickly put the little deer in a trash bag and flung her into the back of my trailer with the Wal-Mart goods and bug-out gear. My wife came downstairs, dressed, and I said with a wink, “Let’s go camping!” Our teenagers were still asleep, so I carried down both sleepy kids and loaded them in our van, handed them a slice of cold pizza and switched on their gameboys.

As we drove away, I saw those gullible officers knocking on another neighbor’s door.

I explained all the morning’s events to my wife as we headed north on the highway. She was dumbfounded! So was I, to tell the truth. It was all so surreal. The kids were immersed in important video games and probably didn’t realize they were even in the car.

A few hours later, we pulled in to my pre-selected camping spot near Colorado City—just below the Utah border in Arizona. The law never comes up here. They steer clear of this polygamy-sanctioned haven in the outback. My wife says this town gives her the creeps.

After we set up the tent, hung up the deer (well, she was more of a fawn to be honest), and set up our camp bathroom tent, we went into McDonalds in town to use their bathrooms (don’t want to waste water, and we could use some extra paper). We logged into their wireless internet with our “burner iPad” to check the news. First I went to Trader Dan’s site so I could gloat at everyone trapped in the cities while I ate cheeseburgers. After an hour of that, and getting banned from the site, I clicked over to T-ville expecting to find Turd’s final goodbye post and a few bug-out proclamation comments.

That’s when I started to wonder if I had made a mistake

Everyone was still there in T-ville, arguing about the Ukraine, running off trolls, posting news stories, and ranting about the latest smackdown, and complaining about the latest Bo Polololney call for 5K gold.

What? I am so confused!

These folks at T-ville don’t take just any bait. I gotta investigate! Things seemed normal. I read all the comments for the past 24 hours and no mention of the flooding, harps, aliens, EMPs, or the imminent need for bugging out. It was then I realized that the internet was still working. No! It cannot be!

But there was no mistake.

I had been fooled! It was all clear to me now. I remembered Pining's magic: Photoshop!

“What is it?” my wife asked in between bites. I slammed my fist on the table in disgust.

“Those SOBs ran a false story with fake pictures to panic us into premature action.” I declared. A very large family, all wearing denim jumpers and overalls, looked our way curiously, so I lowered my voice to a whisper.

“You simply cannot trust the media these days. Clearly the story of a hurricane in Phoenix Arizona was false and had been a carefully planned, with faked pics and everything—a devious propaganda effort designed to ferret out those who know the truth.”

My wife nodded, knowingly and said, “Riiiight. We won’t be so easily fooled next time, will we?”

I was sure thankful to have a wife who understood me and recognized the central challenge facing our family.

She continued, “While we’re up here, let’s go check out some garage sales, then enjoy a couple of sunsets.”

“Might as well,” I replied with a sigh.

“Did you remember to pick up your brass below your tree stand?” she asked.

“Oh crap!”

I'm missing something Dr.

I'm missing something Dr. J. Why didn't you just look out your front door to see if it rained? If a rare west coast hurricane came through, you would have heard all the fuss in California first. Or is the story an April fools sort of thing?

Best Post Yet!!

Thanks, Dr. Jerome, you've helped to restore my respect for academia nuts!!

Edit - FWIW, I suggested "haboob" as the name for our scrum team - it didn't go over well.

Edit II - Did you really write "newsgirl"? Awesome!

Another Kind of Storm

Rickards now an offical employee of the CIA?

There’s been a strange cluster of articles on the net lately, regarding the usual financial memes: the Fed is insolvent, near bankruptcy, everything’s going to collapse on such-and-such a date, the dollar is doomed, and so on.

This time, however, it’s coming from some unusual sources. One is, of course, Kentucky US Senator Rand Paul (son of US Congressman Ron Paul, for those in our international readership). There’s nothing unusual about that, for the Pauls – both Ron and Rand – have been wanting to audit the Federal Reserve for years (and for that matter, so have most Americans). What is unique about the more recent news, is that now the CIA is weighing in, in the form of financial analyst Jim Rickards:

The irony of assuming that controlling all the visible inputs gives us ultimate control over all outputs is the more we centralize control of each input, the more vulnerability we introduce to the system.”

And that principle alone is reason to believe that gold is going higher.

What made me laugh the most

Is that you hunted a deer to eat, but went to McDonalds to take a dump. Just proves that even post collapse, you should never, ever, shit where you eat.

I was in Tucson for that rainstorm! Very impressive.

SUV's and even little cars driving and splashing on flooded streets like they were invincible. I'm surprised there weren't more fatalities.

chinese speculators shorting comex and buying SHFE

i just talked to a broker at one of the best futures brokerage house.

she told me their strategy is buy SHFE and short overseas in weak markets because inventory is tighter in china and overseas inventory is much bigger.

so the big speculators in china are betting on increasing premium!

this is insane!

ummm I had the pleasure of driving in that storm

Dr J:

How nice of you to show pics of what I somehow missed as I drove 67 miles of freeway and city traffic that Monday a.m. thru the Phx valley. I kept getting freeway messages of this point closed and so on. One detour after another and I finally made it into the office. Should have stayed home that one came in. Everyone rescheduled for the p.m. or another day. Side note I saw at least 6-8 accidents and the same number of vehicles spun out on the side of the road. Idiots, most of the sheep I tell you. I drove 55 mph and less and got passed the whole time. My point is people don't have any common sense on how to act in non normal situation. So when the shtf, watch the sheep really loose it. These pics are not even a warm up.

Anyhow next time I will just come your direction and get into a tree stand and help you out. The pic you posted is not deer, thems look much more like elk my boy. I should know my better half has a cow elk tag that goes active in 4 weeks from tomorrow a.m. We have done our homework, headed to the cabin this weekend to see if it didn't get washed away and check game camera cards.

Deer or elk

Now that you mention it, those do look like elk. I better increase my thorazine levels.

Seriously though, your description of how people drive in a disaster is sobering!

Dr J, great story of your

Dr J, great story of your prep to go camping. Too bad it wasn't the 'real bugout'. Sounds like a blast, in more ways than one. May I suggest a silencer on the ol deer rifle; or you can spring for the new silenced auto fire 22 cal.

If you are on a shoestring budget like me, a bow is the answer. No brass problem. Hard to knock down several trophy deer. Still a multi dart crossbow will get the job done, stealthy quiet. Don't forget to wipe each dart for finger prints, just incase that nosy neighbor's golden retriever is still sniffing around. I have to do that here -

Thinning out the neighborhood dogs has been an ongoing chore. I swear, 2-4 dogs a week from my jack fruit tree stand in the back, isn't easy. Once down, I quickly dress and start cooking. Soon, someone walking by will stop and smell the aroma of cooking dog flesh, and make me an offer. I'm usually easy on price. It keeps the customers coming back. We neighborly bond with the light conversations, during the exchange, enjoyed by all. Still, I feel somewhat guilty when one of the neighbors asks if I've seen their missing dogs. Keeping the prices low & some Balut helps erase that guilt.

Preparing To Asset-strip Local Government? The Fed’s Bizarre New Rules

Posted on September 8, 2014 by Ellen Brown

In an inscrutable move that has alarmed state treasurers, the Federal Reserve, along with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, just changed the liquidity requirements for the nation’s largest banks. Municipal bonds, long considered safe liquid investments, have been eliminated from the list of high-quality liquid collateral. assets (HQLA). That means banks that are the largest holders of munis are liable to start dumping them in favor of the Treasuries and corporate bonds that do satisfy the requirement. Continue reading →

The September/October issue of Foreign Affairs features an article by Mark Blyth and Eric Lonergan titled “Print Less But Transfer More: Why Central Banks Should Give Money Directly To The People.” It’s the sort of thing normally heard only from money reformers and Social Credit enthusiasts far from the mainstream. Next Future Terrifying Technology Will Blow Your Mind

Dr. Jerome, should you like

Dr. Jerome, should you like this? Picture gets clearer every week. Either FED rate hike in August 2015 and war in Europe or USD and global monetary system demise with new QE . Choice? Senate elections quite critical, as senate appoints /removes? FED chairman voting members. DEMS should keep it. Hence ISIS comes in handily. Putin - if he is a Rothschild plant- will wait until Senate elections before getting nastier. Poroshenko will cave in the same during that time. Very many things will clarify during next 2 months.

Next what follows is a repost to give more detailed account of how events will unfold prior to August 2015. March-May 2015 is timeline for creation of Novorussia protectorate. Belarus/Kazahstan will follow. Takes time to build base, Russia is not ready for war but opportunity window may close with Obama out. NATO (Europe) is not ready either.

I think Russia will in general relax turning screws on Ukraine if not forced prior to parliamentary elections there:

A snap Ukrainian parliamentary election to theVerkhovna Rada will be held on 26 October 2014.[1]

Anti Russian sentiment is running high in Ukraine so if Russia wants less decisive opponents in Rada it may well relax until November. Mariupol and corridor from Russia to Crimea will be there available also in winter. Besides, in winter Russia will have one extra weapon-gas/oil. If Ukraine starts to take gas from European deliveries it will invite Russian attempts to stop stealing.

It would be also good for Putin to calm EU so that they get a bit happy with some stabilization and after experiencing economic fears become even more inclined for appeasement. Crimea is already gone, parts of Donbass as well.

Hitler needed Sudetenland Germans and Czech mines and heavy industry to further increase his military potential. He took them during appeasement. Putin needs and finds the same - ethnic Russians for army, coal and metals and very important for Russia number of military plants , especially in Kharkiv region, which produces stuff for Russian army which is in principle very costly and difficult to replace.

Despite this, on 4 December 1938 there were elections in Reichsgau Sudetenland, in which 97.32% of the adult population voted for NSDAP. About a half million Sudeten Germans joined theNazi Party which was 17.34% of the total German population in Sudetenland (the average NSDAP membership participation in Nazi Germany was merely 7.85% in 1944).This means the Sudetenland was one of the most pro-Nazi regions of the Third Reich.[13] Because of their knowledge of the Czech language, many Sudeten Germans were employed in the administration of the ethnicCzechProtectorate of Bohemia and Moravia as well as in Nazi organizations (Gestapo, etc.). The most notable was Karl Hermann Frank: the SS and Police general and Secretary of State in the Protectorate.

Czechoslovakia was a major manufacturer of machine guns, tanks, and artillery, most of which were assembled in the Škoda factory and had a modern army of 35 divisions. Many of these factories continued to produce Czech designs until factories were converted for German designs. Czechoslovakia also had other major manufacturing companies. Entire steel and chemical factories were moved from Czechoslovakia and reassembled in Linz, Austria which incidentally remains a heavily industrialized sector of the country.

So I think we see some calm now until elections in Ukraine, then things will again get nasty on next level; given the setback with first wave separatists in Kharkiv Mariupol regions, there is time needed also to make preparations.

And of course I admit that Putin has all rights to do this as West ditched Russia after 1990 -ties, broke promises about NATO expansion, dealt with Russia in disrespectful manner- as Hitler had all rights to restore German dignity after Versailles and reparations.

Question remain how far will this analogy go; splitting Ukraine in two parts - that is clear, and is analogy to German occupation of Czechoslovakia Czech part in 1939.

On 16 March 1939, the GermanWehrmacht moved into the remainder of Czechoslovakia and, from Prague Castle, Hitler proclaimed Bohemia and Moravia the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.

Sounds like some Donetsk Kharkiv Protectorate of Novorussia, right?

But question is , what comes next? Molotov Ribentropp Pact and invasion of Poland in September 1 , 1939. Nastily fast succession of events. Is Eastern Europe even as members of NATO as unprotected as Poland was then? I bet so.

Well, after some time though ( and that will happen with China joining victorious side and participating in division of Russia) the initiators of both WWI and WWII were beaten and occupied.

I wonder where the division line will go between Chinese occupation zone (Yuan) and German (NATO) one in Russia (EUR) , and who else will cut a piece off. I hope to end up in German part if I am still alive. Timetable - 2017 ( fast loss) -2026 ( protracted fighting the end of the war.

So Russia is in serious trouble as they know that what has started has no good end planned for them. Chinese will use the situation to chop up Russia, first helping it to get weaker and more dependent on China by supporting it. A Classic.

Only problem for me is that Baltic states - as in 1939- might be devoured by Russia before attack on Poland or some other East Europe country. Belarus by that time will be part of Russia- another protectorate- here is why- and its no secret BTW in Russia/Belarus:

Alexander Lukashenko won the presidential election that took place on 19 December 2010 with 79.65%.

President of Belarus is directly elected by the people of Belarus for a five year term. Elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus are held in the united constituency comprising the whole territory of the Republic of Belarus.

So, next election is December 2015. Time to change horses. Or call early presidential elections due to...

Same goes for Kazakhstan. if Russia is only worried about Ukraine, why does it make immense military training on border with Kazakhstan ( Astrakhan etc)? Why does is makes maneuvers that challenge Japan?

Think. Russia is in the corner and acting out of fear because of the scenario that ends bad for them i outlined above.

Putin yesterday PERSONALLY took over leadership in Russian military production and development commission. Reminds of someone I mentioned in this post? On other hand, it gives him possibility not to press nuclear button if that is against his masters ( Roths-but we will see in next 2 months) wishes.

For Putin, it would be better if repubs win senate. So he need to show more aggression NOW. If he does it after senate elections, he is playing along ROTH plan.

Jamie Dimon Gets $8.5 Million

Jamie Dimon Gets $8.5 Million Raise for Illegal Conduct at JPM.

“As Judge Rakoff of the Southern District of New York has noted, the law on this is clear. No corporation can break the law unless an individual within that corporation broke the law. (unlike some recent delusions from the Supreme court about the inalienable rights of soulless, disembodied Corporations which are constructs merely of common law with no superior claim to a higher authority equal to an individual's rights - Jesse)

Yet, despite the misconduct at these banks that generated tens of billions of dollars in settlement payments by the companies, not a single senior executive at these banks has been criminally prosecuted. Now, I know that your agencies can’t bring prosecutions directly, but you’re supposed to refer cases to the Justice Department when you think individuals should be prosecuted. So, can you tell me how many senior executives at these three banks you have referred to the Justice Department for prosecution?...

After the savings and loan crisis in the 1970s and 1980s, the government brought over a thousand criminal prosecutions and got over 800 convictions. The FBI opened nearly 5,500 criminal investigations because of referrals from banking investigators and regulators.

The main reason we punish illegal behavior is for deterrence; to make sure that the next banker who’s thinking about breaking the law remembers that a guy down the hall was hauled out of here in handcuffs when he did that.

These civil settlements don’t provide deterrence. The shareholders for the company pay the settlement; senior management doesn’t pay a dime. And, in fact, if you’re like Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, you might even get an $8.5 million raise for negotiating such a great settlement when your company breaks the law.

So, without criminal prosecution, the message to every Wall Street banker is loud and clear: if you break the law you are not going to jail, but you might end up with a much bigger paycheck.

No one should be above the law. If you steal a hundred bucks on Main Street, you’re probably going to jail. If you steal a billion bucks on Wall Street, you darn well better go to jail too.”

Here is the video of Senator Elizabeth Warren from yesterday's testimony in a hearing chaired by Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD) Wall Street Reform: Assessing and Enhancing the Financial Regulatory System.”

It is only 11 minutes in length and is worth watching. You can see it in its entirety here.

Net Equity Clawback

Laurence Kotlikoff- SIPC Running a Ponzi Scheme

Economics professor Laurence Kotlikoff is sounding the alarm for massive and ongoing Wall Street fraud.

BY Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog. (Early Sunday Release)

Renowned economics professor Laurence Kotlikoff says SIPC (Securities Investor Protection Corporation) is an insurance scam from Fraud Street. Dr. Kotlikoff contends, “If you look at the history of their response as it’s been discovered, they (SIPC) have been fighting tooth and nail never to pay a dollar. So, the situation is not that we don’t have any insurance for your brokerage account, it’s far worse. . . . There’s a Ponzi scheme discovered every four days, according to a recent New York Times article. So, they can declare a fraud very easily.” As an example, Dr. Kotlikoff gives someone who lost $2 million and is expecting to get back at least the SIPC insurance claim of $500,000, the maximum payout. Instead of getting money back, SIPC expects money back from you! Dr. Kotlikoff explains, “So, you are at double jeopardy here. It’s not just that you can get totally screwed by a brokerage firm, which is happening every four days because a Ponzi scheme is being discovered, you can also be at great jeopardy by SIPC itself.” Meaning, SIPC cannot only deny your claim, but it can sue you for any profits you made beyond your original investment if there are losses because of a fraudulent brokerage. Dr. Kotlikoff adds, “So, they are running a complete insurance scam. It’s a disgrace. There is a bill in front of Congress that would correct this, but so far, members of Congress have not pushed it through.”

Dr. Kotlikoff goes on to say, “Earning a decent return on your investments is not being a winner; it’s just having a normal economic life. That’s what you are supposed to do. You are supposed to save and invest and enjoy the returns of your investments. So, to be labeled a ‘winner’ and not be labeled a victim, and be told that your remaining balance is totally uninsured, and you have to pay back everything you took out over the last six years is disgraceful. . . . It’s also very, very dangerous. Right now, nobody should have a brokerage account. They should close them immediately and not spend your money for six years. If you spend your money . . . they can sue you for every dollar of return, and that can be far beyond what you put in because of compound interest. This is called a ‘net equity clawback,’and it’s a disgrace.”

Are any brokerages safe? Dr. Kotlikoff says, “You are not safe in any of these companies. . . . You don’t know exactly what they are doing. You don’t know if they are taking your securities and borrowing against them. You may have signed something with fine print that allows them to hypothecate your securities, and then they could borrow money and put on a big bet . . . now, they lost all the money and the brokerage goes under. That could be called a Ponzi scheme . . . anything can be called a Ponzi scheme. Anybody who has a brokerage account should move their money out and contact their member of Congress and get them to pass this bill because it’s not going to be safe for anybody at any point in time to invest in a brokerage account unless this is changed. . . . The bill is called “Restoring Main Street Investor Protection and Confidence Act.” H.R.3482 - 113th Congress (2013-2014): Restoring Main ... SIPC has been engaged in such fraud that even the Securities and Exchange Commission has sued SIPC to get them to pay off the legitimate claims of the Stanford victims, the second largest Ponzi scheme after Madoff.”

Dr. Kotlikoff goes on to warn of massive and ongoing Wall Street fraud. Dr. Kotlikoff says, “Every day we are reading about a big bank being fined billions of dollars. Recently, Bank of America had a $16 billion fine the bank had to pay for selling fraudulent securities. They know they are selling you snake oil, and they are getting away with it, and nobody is going to jail. I call Wall Street, at this point, Fraud Street, and one of the biggest rackets is the SIPC brokerage account insurance–it’s not really insurance. A fraud occurs and Wall Street, through SIPC, says we owe you nothing, and they sue you to get paid back. That’s what we call an insurance scam. Wall Street, through SIPC, has been running a massive insurance scam. . . . In many ways, you could say SIPC is running its own Ponzi scheme.”

Why I pay much more attention to my garden and other food ...

The Presidental speech from tonight. (I'm going to listen to it all, even though I puke seeing him naked and sitting on a comode to get through it.) BTW, I voted for W twice and woke up in his second term, and see no difference.

Got involved with the 'system' locally and found out how corrupt the system really is. Get local, trade locally and enjoy your community, this globalism is insane.

From Mr Fix in the DOTs Forum-

(NaturalNews) Have you noticed the incredible detachment from reality exhibited by the masses these days? The continued operation of modern society, it seems, depends on people making sure they don't acknowledge reality (or try to deal with it). "Denial" is what keeps every sector of civilization humming along: medicine, finance, government, agriculture and more.

The trouble with the denial approach is that eventually the lies collide with reality. Until that day comes, however, happy-go-lucky Americans are merrily enjoying their courtship with self delusion, repeating the following 37 lies to themselves as if they were true:

Lie #1) All FDA-approved medications are safe to consume in any combination, because the FDA protects the public.

Lie #2) Food prices keep going up because inflation is a natural force that can't be halted.

Lie #3) The mainstream media is telling me the truth when it reports on world events.

Lie #4) Chemical food additives are tested for their safety before being widely used across the food supply.

Lie #5) We can all pump groundwater out of the ground forever, and it will never run out.

Lie #6) We can also pump fossil fuels out of the ground forever, and they will never run out, either. Why worry?

Lie #7) If anything bad happens in terms of a national emergency or natural disaster, the government will take care of me.

Lie #8) It doesn't matter where my food comes from as long as it's cheap and delicious.

Lie #9) GMOs must be safe to eat because a bunch of scientists paid by the biotech industry all tell each other that GMOs are safe and therefore have reached "scientific consensus."

Lie #10) Government debt doesn't matter because the government can simply create more money any time they want.

Lie #11) Mercury in vaccines must be safe to inject into children, otherwise the CDC and FDA wouldn't allow it to be used in vaccines.

Lie #12) Organic produce is a waste of money. I'll buy conventional produce treated with pesticides and herbicides because the cost of all the cancer treatments I'll need 20 years later will be covered by Obamacare anyway.

Lie #13) The history taught to children in public schools is a true and accurate history. Columbus was best friends with the Indians, too!

Lie #14) Swallowing fluoride chemicals is good for babies and children, and that's why cities put fluoride into public water supplies.

Lie #15) Flu shots prevent the flu. That's why the package inserts for flu vaccines openly state there is no scientific evidence to support any conclusion that influenza vaccines prevent influenza.

Lie #16) Whatever is backed by "science" must be true. Science is never falsified by corrupt scientists or corporate agendas, and scientific conclusions are never wrong.

Lie #17) The global ecosystem can handle unlimited human pollution without any negative consequences. We can all continue to dump unlimited toxins into the environment.

Lie #18) Cell phone radiation is harmless. The reason we know that is because the cell phone companies hired scientists to say so.

Lie #19) If everybody else is doing something, it must be the right thing to do. After all, how could so many people be wrong?

Lie #20) We don't need to store food for emergencies because there will always be more food available at the grocery store.

Lie #21) There's no need to be concerned about Ebola or other infectious diseases in America because the vaccine companies can always and instantly create a new vaccine that works 100% of the time, with zero side effects.

Lie #22) Local police departments need battlefield military weapons, armored cars and body armor because the drug war demands it.

Lie #23) If I buy something at Whole Foods, it must be healthy and free from contaminants like toxic heavy metals. (Or is it really?)
Lie #24) My vote really counts in national elections. We live in a democracy where the People have power over the government.

Lie #25) My checking and savings accounts are perfectly safe no matter what happens because my bank is FDIC insured.

Lie #26) Raw dairy products are dangerous and deadly because the FDA told me so. Those horrible farmers selling raw dairy products should be locked away in prison.

Lie #27) My oncologist recommends chemotherapy treatment for me only because he cares about my wellbeing, not because his clinic sells the chemotherapy drugs at a huge profit.

Lie #28) The government isn't secretly recording my phone calls or reading my emails. Why would they? I've done nothing wrong!

Lie #29) Commercial dog food is healthy and nutritious for dogs. Dog treats made in China are also trustworthy and free from contaminants like lead.

Lie #30) The only way to prevent infectious disease is with a vaccine. Vitamin D and healthy immune support have nothing to do with it.

Lie #31) After I pay off my house, I own it free and clear. (Think again: Property taxes mean you're only "leasing" it from the county. Stop paying those taxes and you'll find out very quickly who really owns your home.)

Lie #32) Google will do no evil, and the fact that the company is developing humanoid battlefield robots, autonomous drones and super-human quantum computing brain chips is nothing to worry about.

Lie #33) Cancer is caused entirely by bad luck (or smoking) and has nothing to do with the food I eat or chemicals in my personal environment.

Lie #34) The radiation release from Fukushima wasn't that bad. Sure, it was many times larger than the Chernobyl disaster, but authorities say we have nothing to worry about.

Lie #35) Autism isn't caused by vaccines, and the way we know is because the CDC scientist who admitted to a massive conspiracy of scientific fraud to bury the evidence linking vaccines to autism should not be believed.

Lie #36) All foods certified as "organic" are automatically free of toxic heavy metals and contaminants.

Lie #37) Human civilization is the only intelligent civilization in the entire galaxy. Anything else would simply be too scary to contemplate.

Mystery Virus EV-D68 In 10 States

(NaturalNews) The rapid explosion of mystery virus EV-D68 is sending hundreds of children to hospitals across Missouri, Colorado, Kansas, Utah and eight other states. "In Kansas City, about 475 children were recently treated at Children's Mercy Hospital, and at least 60 of them received intensive hospitalization," reports CNN. (1)

CNN goes on to report:

"It's worse in terms of scope of critically ill children who require intensive care. I would call it unprecedented. I've practiced for 30 years in pediatrics, and I've never seen anything quite like this," said Dr. Mary Anne Jackson, the hospital's division director for infectious diseases.

What CNN and other media outlets are not reporting, however, is that this outbreak is occurring among vaccinated children. Did other vaccines make children more susceptible to EV-D68 infections?

Children who have been vaccinated with MMR vaccines, influenza vaccines, polio vaccines and many others are the same children who are now being struck by EV-D68. How do we know this? Because we know how the rabid pro-vaccine media consistently reports on viral outbreaks:

Vaccine media propaganda rule #1) If an outbreak ever occurs among unvaccinated children, then the published stories will strongly condemn parents for failing to vaccinated their children while promoting vaccines as the one and only solution.

Vaccine media propaganda rule #2) If there's an inconvenient fact about vaccines that the media doesn't want the public to know, it will withhold that fact from all its stories. This was made abundantly clear in the recent media-wide blackout of the CDC whistleblower story, where top CDC scientist Dr. William Thompson openly admitted to committing scientific fraud at the CDC in order to hide the link between MMR vaccines and autism.Click here to read the once-secret letter Dr. Thompson sent to CDC director Julie Gerberding, admitting to a cover-up.

The fact that the mainstream media is right now not blaming the EV-D68 outbreak on unvaccinated children, in other words, is near-conclusive proof that this outbreak is occurring among vaccinated children.

Media doctors hopelessly clueless about what to suggest to parents

Because there is no vaccine for EV-D68, the media can't push vaccines as the solution for these infections. And so the media seems totally lost and clueless about what to report. There's no mention of protecting children's immune systems with vitamin D, and no mainstream media outlet even dares mention the words "immune support" for fear that people might realize a strong immune system is far better than a vaccine at preventing infectious disease.

The best advice CNN can come up with reads as follows:

To reduce the risk of infection, individuals should wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, especially after changing diapers; avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands; avoid kissing, hugging and sharing cups or eating utensils with people who are sick; disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as toys and doorknobs; and stay home when feeling sick...

Again, note the complete lack of any discussion about zinc, vitamin D, immune-boosting herbs, avoidance of toxic immunosuppressive chemicals and food additives, and so on. This is the default position of the mainstream media: "Wash your hands." It is literally watered-down advice by a propaganda institution that functions as the vaccine industry's ministry of truth.

Even when children's lives are at stake, the media is so opposed to nutritional defenses that it consistently refuses to mention a low-cost, high-safety, readily-available nutrient like vitamin D that could save countless lives during a pandemic outbreak... even if used in conjunction with vaccines! (See my Blueprint for Safer Vaccines document here.)

Doctors and health authorities freak out over enterovirus outbreak because they have nothing to offer except a vaccine which doesn't exist

The over-reliance on vaccines in public health will ultimately kill millions of children in a real outbreak for the simple reason that vaccines are blindly relied upon at the exclusion of all else. So when a pandemic comes along that has no vaccine, doctors and health authorities are literally clueless about what to recommend other than "wash your hands."

"Stupid" doesn't even begin to describe our modern health care system. It's downright negligent.

Any honest health care system that really cared about public health would have a multi-layered pandemic defense strategy which included immune boosting activities, nutritional defenses, behavioral modification, personal hygiene reinforcement and finally medical intervention as one layer among many.

The problem with vaccines -- even if they work (which they mostly don't) -- is that they can't keep up with mutating viruses in the wild. This current outbreak of EV-D68 has caught the medical establishment completely off guard. They have no vaccines to recommend, and so doctors and health authorities sit around taking their own rectal pulses (i.e. they have their thumbs up their hind ends) while children fill the emergency rooms at hospitals. A simple vitamin D education campaign could slash these infections by huge margins. Vitamin D "activates" the immune system at so many levels that if vitamin D were a pharmaceutical, it would be called a "miracle drug" and whoever created it would be awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine.

But it's not a drug; it's a simple, low-cost vitamin. So doctors aren't taught anything about it and parents are never told to use it. Especially not when there are vaccines to push and pregnant women to inject with mercury.

Some astounding quotes about the severity of this outbreak

"An unprecedented lung virus that has infected over 1000 children across 10 states from the Midwest to the east coast is likely to spread to the rest of the country, doctors have warned." (2)

The unusually high number of hospitalizations reported could be "just the tip of the iceberg in terms of severe cases," said Mark Pallansch, a virologist and director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Division of Viral Diseases. - CNN (1)

"A respiratory illness that has already sickened more than a thousand children in 10 states is likely to become a nationwide problem, doctors say." - ABC News (4)

"Just weeks after the Obama administration let more than 37,000 illegal-alien children into the U.S. without health screening, more than 1,000 kids across 10 states have been stricken with a respiratory virus – prompting widespread concerns about a major outbreak sweeping across the nation." - (3)

"It's worse in terms of scope of critically ill children who require intensive care. I would call it unprecedented. I've practiced for 30 years in pediatrics, and I've never seen anything quite like this," said Dr. Mary Anne Jackson, the hospital's division director for infectious diseases. - CNN (1)

Rebound soon. Silver looking to bounce off this trendline ?

edit: Is it just me or does the character of the down legs look different since that peak. Before peak the downlegs are steeper than the up legs now most of the downlegs are slow and laborious, almost strained or forced somehow. Like price was leaning forwards but now leaning back.
