Another FMT Video

My friend, Dan at Future Money Trends, sent over a new video last evening. I thought it was timely, given the very encouraging action in the miners since the first of the year.

I hope to have a full update on the miners soon. Last week I wrote that I was waiting for some confirmation out of the HUI. As I looked at the chart, I figured we'd need a couple of days closes above the 210 level for me to get interested. Well, yesterday, we got close #1.

Next, IF we can stay above 210 this week and then move through the down-sloping trendline on the chart above, we'll really be onto something...with the rally likely extending toward 250 and maybe even 280.

But those are topics for another day. For now, let's just watch how the HUI moves over the next few days while keeping an eye on a few of the key miners, as well. To help you pass the time, here's the latest conversation between Dan and Marin Katusa of Casey Research. I think you'll find it helpful.

Have a Happy(?) Tuesday!

Paper price to $17

I have long since given up predicting where the paper price can go! The reality of Algos and manipulation, combined with the leverage allowed and the funds available to the big boys, means that they can put the paper price wherever they want, whenever they want! Real value means nothing to them, just the digital profit showing on a computer screen, with the timescale that matters being only the next hour, day, or week, until the quarter results are due.

I would suggest however that if they were to attend the antique auctions, as I frequently do, that they would perhaps grasp the reality that physical stuff is becoming rarer, and the prices paid, for what little now appears, is increasing rapidly.

NSA Malware on China/Russian & everybody else's computers

I would submit to the forum that this portends to be a HUGE story;

Here's what I foresee coming from these revelations -------

1) the recognition of the un-imagined depth of the extent of spying and silent warfare exercised by NSA.

2) the amount of ''blow-back'' that will occur politically and financially - ( where a lot of warfare takes place these days)

3) FINALLY some global recognition of the level of technology available to the Blk-ops and 3-letter agencies~!

"The National Security Agency has placed software on nearly 100,000 computers around the world that allows the U.S. to conduct surveillance on those machines using radio frequency technology, The New York Times reported Tuesday.

The secret technology allows the agency to gain access to computers that other countries have tried to protect from spying or cyberattacks, even if they aren't connected to the Internet, The Times reported, citing NSA documents, computer experts and U.S. officials.

The software network could also create a digital highway for launching cyberattacks by transmitting malware, including the kind used in attacks by the U.S. against Iran's nuclear facilities, according to the report.''

@ clarki

"I'm gettin' tired of all this. Really. Anyone who has been fooled by this "recovery" and bought in deserves what is coming."

I for one definitely relate to your frustration and chagrin, it is all so blatant and disgusting. Many if not most of the people out there who have been taking what the MSM have been dishing out at face value are good people who have worked hard all their lives, and now are basically forced to gamble with their life savings in this giant casino that the world financial markets have become. IMHO, they definitely do not deserve what is coming, they deserve honest politicians and financial reporting.

In my more cynical moments, it is hard to believe such beasts exist.

@ s1lverbullet

While I hope you are right about not dropping to $17, until we break out of the down channel, anything is possible. We are just not there yet, but praying the bull market in precious metals will soon return.

PM's going down and capped below $1250 and $20.50

How much fiat and political capitulation has it cost I wonder?

Hammer

That article you posted has a comments section with almost 8000 comments of pure, unadulterated Obama hatred. I find this encouraging that so many are waking up. Unfortunately, many seem to think Republicans are the solution. They post like they are all smart and shit, right up to the point where they blame democrats. The propaganda is so well tuned, that the majority of Americans, who are starting to see through the trees, still believe that the other party will fix it.
